Week/Fruit/EDD: 14 +3, Nov 1st
FTM, Etc: 2nd
Appointments: May 23
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green
Milestones: Baby’s got fur like its mom, LOL.
Symptoms: Exhaustion still, round ligament pain, sacroiliac pain.
Rants: I miss being home with my kid and H. And physically mostly being tired, I guess, and the fact I just look super fat and waddle. And it’s a bummer trying to get water I trust here. Been lightheaded a few times.
Raves: No more bleeding since the night I left (knock on wood). I think things are going to be okay with schoolwork? I hope? I can get real, uninterrupted sleep at night.
GTKY: I think experience over gift. I’m a minimalist and tend to be very picky about what I own, but hold onto things I don’t want or like for sentimental reasons. Plus, I’d rather keep building relationships with you through experiences while we’re here on earth together.

GTKY: Would you rather get a material gift or an experience? Experience for sure.

FTM, Etc: 3rd
Appointments: 20w app next week
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: A/S looked great. Someone didn’t want to uncross her legs, though 😂 now it’s the countdown to V day
Symptoms: heartburn, itching. So much itching..
Rants: see above. I’m so itchy
Raves: Tech was pretty certain she could confirm the panorama sex results. She also said panorama is the only NIPT to not have an incorrect fetal sex reported, but you know what happens when you say never..
GTKY: Would you rather get a material gift or an experience? Oddball alert. I’m a homebody, so gift.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 17w / pomegranate / Oct 14
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Still have to figure out my blood draw for my 2nd tri screening. Next OB appt and my a/s at the end of the month.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: Started to feel definite movement! This is my favorite part of pregnancy.
Symptoms: I'll probably be tired forever
Rants: MH threw out a name idea and I don't love it. I'll see if it grows on me. R's name is literally the only boy name we both liked last time around, so I think naming this kid is going to be tough.
Raves: Pulled out all my maternity clothes from last time and I had way more than I thought! I bought a pair of maternity jeans at Old Navy because they were on sale and I had super cash, but it turns out I had 4 pairs in my box of clothes. I do love to shop, but spending cash has been a little tight lately because of a dumb student loan, so it's nice to find that Past Me saved so much stuff.
GTKY: Would you rather get a material gift or an experience? Experience all the way.

randomosity you’re killing me with the wait! Who knows—just you and DH? Yes, just him and me. Well, and my bff but she's pregnant, too, so we've been sharing everything with each other right away. I was trying to think of a fun reveal but I think we'll just take the kids to our u/s and let them see the baby Wednesday and then slowly tell everyone else. I'm just not at the point where I feel like calling everyone up and being like, "Hey! Guess what!" Haha ain't got time for that!

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19w 5d/ heirloom tomato/ Sept 25
FTM, Etc: FTM
Appointments: Next is June 5
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: Anatomy scan says all is well so far!
Symptoms: shortness of breath, tailbone pain, some discomfort
Rants: It’s hard to explain to people that although my pregnancy has been a very good one, the anxiety I’m getting due to hormones is quite overwhelming and it’s not been a perfect pregnancy...
Raves: We had a local honey festival this pst weekend, and there was a lady selling quilts. Got an adorable bee baby quilt for our boy, so fun to get him stuff!
GTKY: Would you rather get a material gift or an experience? It depends, for me I love souvenirs from experiences. I have a particular fondness for jewelry, as I love the symbolism and the story behind it. I guess I’m more of a gift person? An example would be for my birthday, my husband and I went to San Francisco and went to the zoo, then fisherman’s wharf. I got to do one of those open your own pearl things, got a very rare pearl and made it into a beautiful necklace. It’s a material gift, but it’s attached to a memory. I’m weird, I want to have me cake and eat it too 😂

peggyhill, I’m sorry hormones have been throwing you off. I hope things get better for you, but I also want to say that I had severe perinatal depression with my first. It got to the point I needed to seek help because I felt so strongly about hurting myself that it seemed possible I would be reckless and end up hurting the baby too. I saw a therapist and was about to start meds when the baby came a month and a half early. (I did start meds after the birth, and the feelings did not go away for a long time) I hope, hope, hope that you experience nothing like that, but if things get bad, please know that 1. It’s okay to get help And 2. If you need to talk about it with someone who “gets” it, I’m here. That goes for anyone who finds themselves in that situation. Please don’t quote.

roseinbloom *hugs* i also had prenatal depression with my first. It’s so hard peggyhill please bring it up to your provider. I kept quiet, thinking it was all normal, and didn’t seek help. I should have and didn’t. It wasn’t until I got diagnosed with PPD that it all came out that I had felt that way for a long time

How things went down on my last BMB, I think PPD/A is way more common than people think, even with increased visibility. But you shouldn’t have to suffer, and even lighter baby blues deserve some listening support. We focus on the obvious of how much your body goes through, but there is a huge psychological aspect too. ❤️ Hugs, cmb

roseinbloom, cmb, thank you so much for the support and advice, it’s so wonderful to be able to talk to people who have experienced similar trials. I’m so sorry you both have experience with this, it is so hard. I hope you both are doing well at this point? I have brought it up, and I have a filled script of Zoloft if I get to a point that I feel I need to start something to help me get through. I also see a psychologist every week, and we kind of see how I’m doing and discuss whether or not medication is recommended at this point or if I’m doing alright. It’s just hard to talk to those who haven’t ever dealt with anything to this degree. It’s mainly depersonalization/derealization that I deal with when anxiety hits a peak, and while everyone can tell you it won’t hurt you and it’s just thoughts, it’s still obscenely uncomfortable in the meantime...
