I'm partly scared for these women and partly intrigued and interested in cost...
They basically stay in a resort while they recover. Yes, please!

Dh and C cake home soaked and muddy. They had a lot of fun though. Of course C was upset at the end that he didn’t win anything. It wasn’t a race to win but they had these gift baskets they raffled off. He said “this is the worst day of my life!” Of course the pics and videos tell another story.   Great use of the ugly shoes MIL bought him though. Too bad they are ruined now 🤷♀️😉 |

I took Cadence out for pancakes. The first place had an hour wait and Cadence shit that down real quick. So we ended up at IHOP. Cadence picked a cupcake pancake and after the first bite claimed she hated it. She ate bacon and grapes. Then we went to B&N, but she only wanted to look at the toys, so we left and went to Target. We're back home relaxing before Cadence's recital this evening. C always wants that but the one time we got it he did the same thing. It does look fun but it’s just way too much. Evie loves the cupcake pancake, but we ask for the frosting and whipped topping on the side, so I can control how much is on it. |

lahdeedah did you figure out your washer? That sounds like a nightmare if you have to wait for a repair guy. I have vacation hangover. I'm exhausted with so much shit to do. I'm also tired of my family, so weirdly excited to go to work tomorrow.

We moved the washer up a few inches, jiggled the drain hose and it works for now. 🤷🏽♀️ I was thinking about replacing all the hoses once we moved. I don’t know if that is something that NEEDS to be done, but it can’t hurt, right? My washer emits a smell only when the cycle starts. I think it’s plumbing/water related because it only started once we moved to this house. I thought it maybe could be the hoses, too. So we will see if my theory is correct once we are in the new house. |

I'm sitting in a lawn chair in the garage enjoying the nice weather. Dh is cleaning out his tools and stuff. I need to start making dinner. The boys didnt nap so early bedtimes again. I'm thinking a nice bath after they're asleep.

Busy day here..barre, community meeting where we got escorted up front bc we had kids and they wanted families on display apparently...glad I looked like a hot mess. Now just don't stuff around the house.. organized my clothes so I can close my armoire for the first time ever, ordered a mattress, a kitchen runner. Basically anything to avoid my project due tomorrow.

I was about to email to say we were out of the penpal group since S was giving me a hard time about it but he did 2, so we are back in. We did not go in order through, bc he wanted to send one to peachsmama since he got one from him yesterday. Hopefully a few more will go out this week! |

inthekitty I think a lot of people judge a lot of my parenting. With the age range I have, the big kids have to do little kid things and the little kids have to do big kid things. It is what it is. I always know what’s up but I’m way more free range than most people around here (and way more than I myself ever was with my first kid). The moms in DD’s grade are always talking about every question on the homework and the tests. I have no idea what she does for homework or tests because the kid gets straight A’s on her own so I leave her to it. This horrifies my neighbor.

But it's voluntary and E had already bathed and I already ran the laundry and dishwasher. Basically the water treatment plant was affected. The river is supposed to crest tomorrow so hopefully it will be over soon. MHs levees seem to be holding up well but he's been assigned 2 more counties for tomorrow when it peeks. (I've stocked up on wine and alcohol to get me through this) |
