Cadence woke up early this morning, so mh sent her into my room where she proceeded to repeatedly ask for the tv to be turned on. I told her I would turn it on when my alarm went off. It went off, I hit snooze. She asked again. No, no, that wasn't the real alarm, that was the alarm that prepares me for the real one. Once I got up she said she was hungry. I told her I needed to get ready for work and to ask her father for food. "Oh, I can't, he's sleeping." Seriously? So I yelled into the living room, "the girl is hungry and she wants muffins" He got up and grabbed her mini muffins. I said her lunch still needed to be made. "Oh, I can do that." That's why I said it out loud, so you would do it. Which actually ended up me doing it because he didn't know what goes in her lunch. He's also going to his friend's house after work to work on music and watch a movie. He'll be back late. Did I mention he wants to start a band again? I told him if it leads to him getting back into the "hobbies" that came with his last band, then no thank you. He said it wouldn't and that this was a "serious" band, not just effing around like the last one. Fun. "Hobbies" like drugs/alcohol I assume? Correct. |

Ahh, yeah that definitely doesn't sound like your scene. It has it's time and place. I'm fine with him getting back into music and even starting a band, I think he needs it, it's a great outlet for him and he's good at it. I just know that we are at a different place in our lives than before. I don't want it to effect our family negatively, since we've been actively trying to make things better. He assures me it won't, so I just have to kind of wait and see and hope for the best. |

MH had a job interview yesterday afternoon. It's pretty much the same thing he's doing now but for more money. The offered him the position today! I asked him if I could go to his office to be there when he puts in his 2 week notice, but he said no. Rude.

Charlie I went to the mall and out to lunch today. I got all of the frames I needed for the gallery wall, and a bunch of summer stuff for the kids at old navy. We came home, I and watched Grey’s Anatomy while he played. I’ve had all day to get something for dinner together, yet have done nothing.

But the company is based in England and has offices all around the states. Probably also why they pay more. |

I'm arguing with MH on gchat. He says he's going to tell his boss tomorrow that he's putting in his notice. Ummmm, what? Why would spend time on a Saturday to go to work and tell your boss you're quitting?

Hey! S and I ran to Home Depot this morning so I could get some irrigation supplies. I also picked up a couple strawberry plants to put in a hanging basket. I got the shipping notification that my rose bushes will be here on wednesday!  The weather this afternoon is crazy. It goes from sunny to sprinkling to sunny to thunder and back to sunny and repeat. chrisy01 feel better and try to eat something. |

Hi from my very own house. I will have to join you in burning down the patriarchy tomorrow seeing as DH just held down the fort solo. Again. Things are never 100% to my liking but they're good enough. And he washed our sheets and a Mother's Day present came in the mail today, so...
I got home around 10:30 this morning and showered then worked for a few hours before passing out on the couch for an hour or so. Then I picked up the boys - they are nuts but I missed them a ton.
My trip WAS productive though and we closed on the acquisition, so I signed off on my retention grant. My manager also told me what I'm getting for the broad based grant and that's more than twice what I got last year. It's all kind of weird but I'm not going to complain! Well not about that piece - there's still far too much for me to do on a daily basis.

My child was apparently acting up during nap time today. She proceeded to rip the knee of her leggings hulk style. Wtf, kid? They were fairly new leggings too! She lost her shit when I told her I wouldn't take her home to change and we were going to go eat like that.
We ended up going through the drive thru and she changed as soon as she got home.
