It makes sense to me that she wants to reach out like this. When people like you and *want* to like you, they are much more willing to overlook future missteps (which everyone makes because all humans make mistakes). |

People were wondering why Pippa and the Middletons attended Lady Gabriella's wedding without Kate. Apparently Pippa dated the groom for a while and then remained close friends. I love the video from their IG today, BUT it made me wonder how Harry feels about it (as their IG clearly has a Megan’s posting these vibe to it). It’s so different than the “released” pics that Kensington does for the Cambridge’s.
It almost seems like they’re intentionally by-passing the media with their own direct communication. Which feels very Trump-ish to me. (Don’t hate me they’re so different I don’t even know how my brain got here)
So now I’m all conflicted.

I’m glad that they release pictures and statements as they see fit Oh I don’t think she did anything without Harry’s approval. It just feels MUCH more personal and intimate than what I feel like we normally get. I’m not complaining. We know he doesn’t like the media in general and this is an obvious solution in today’s era. It just feels weird for my brain to then draw the comparison to the Sussex’s and Trump. Though I’ve thought about it more since this morning. I think the way that H&M have started this IG account is MUCH more professional, they basically just are letting it be their voice. Without any of the “traditional media can’t be trusted blah blah blah” that we get from the Oompa Loompa. They also use complete sentences. |

They're also not as held to formality as Kate and Will in KP press. He's the future king, after all. It's to Harry and Meghan's benefit they cultivate a slightly warmer relationship with the public. I love it, I just wish Kate and Charlotte didn't wear dresses. Normal people don't go traipsing thru the woods in a dresses to build a fire and play on a rope swing. I get for Charlotte it may be just how they want to raise her. But what Kate wore yesterday would have been perfect!
Also, couldn't they have run this tomorrow? (I know it's advanced copies of tomorrow's papers but it's 10pm there) If this were H&M, they would have been bashed for doing something on W&K's anniversary as being thirsty. Meghan would have probably been blamed. Double standards at it finest!
