Did you see her daughter Gabriella Windsor, known as Ella, is getting married on the 18th of this month? I wonder if she's as heinous as her mother or if I should pity her some. i need to know this too. Maybe i'll find something on my trip down this rabbit hole.Β Apparently the highest ranking royal to show up to her brothers wedding was EugenieΒ Bet Princess Michael was pissed, lol.

Didnβt the Queen approve it? The Queen that is married to someone who is the brother of Nazis or the Queen whose grandson dressed like a Nazi or the Queen whose other grandson threw a βtribes vs colonistsβ party or the Queen who as recently as last year told someone on Indian descent they didnβt look British? Oh wait, theyβre all the same Queen. Princess Michael is appalling but letβs not pretend sheβs an outlier that the rest of the royal family somehow tolerates. Ding ding, we have a winner.

*whispers* Probably another Nazi or Nazi sympathizer? I believe there are several in the family. Remember, Edward was one after his abdication. The Queen's father distanced himself obviously, but who knows how much of that was real and how much was politics. well Edward was a terrible human being. I don't think George VIII would have gone to war if he had been a closet sympathizer, but who knows. I'm astounded these people haven't been kicked out of Kensington palace Uh, you know that King George isn't the one who went to war, right? That was Parliament. King George had to go along with it, whether he agreed or not. Hell, if he had come out against it, he probably would have been dethroned.

she's also the daughter of a nazi major. OH. WHO TF APPROVED THAT MARRIAGE! *whispers* Probably another Nazi or Nazi sympathizer? I believe there are several in the family. Remember, Edward was one after before his abdication. The Queen's father distanced himself obviously, but who knows how much of that was real and how much was politics. Fixed that. The real reason Edward abdicated? Not a whole lot to do with his mistress and more than they needed him the hell out of dodge. He was essentially exiled by parliament. They found a flimsy excuse other than "your personal politics are utterly shitty" and swiftly replaced him.

It just hasn't happened for 300 years. The country very much saw it as the king leading them into war

And I'm on a roll with royal baby/hypothetical royal baby names. Sussex baby #2 will be a boy with the same name as your DD2. Where do I place my bet?! I said the same statement to my friend and she replied, "Royal Robin has a nice ring to it. Wait, isn't that a burger at Red Robin?" Which it is and is also Dh's favorite one there. #destiny

Why is Archie of Windsor when Meghan and Harry are of Sussex?

Why is Archie of Windsor when Meghan and Harry are of Sussex? Doesn't the Queen technically have custody of her grandchildren/great grandchildren? Plus, I think Harry and Will are still Windsors even though they have other titles.

Why is Archie of Windsor when Meghan and Harry are of Sussex? Meghan and Harry donβt really have a last name. Royals with titles will sometimes use their title as a place holder for a last name if they are doing something where they need one. If Harry did have a real last name it would be Mountbatten-Windsor, because that is the name of their house. "For the most part, members of the Royal Family who are entitled to the style and dignity of HRH [His/Her Royal Highness] Prince or Princess do not need a surname, but if at any time any of them do need a surname (such as upon marriage), that surname is Mountbatten-Windsor." βUnless The Prince of Wales chooses to alter the present decisions when he becomes king, he will continue to be of the House of Windsor and his grandchildren will use the surname Mountbatten-Windsor."

Why is Archie of Windsor when Meghan and Harry are of Sussex? He's not Of Windsor, he just has the legal surname Mountbatten-Windsor, which is the surname used by non-HRH members of the royal family (Prince Edward's kids have the same last name). Meghan and Harry technically don't have a surname, so the "of Sussex" acts as one, in a sense.

Will used Mountbatten-Windsor when filing a lawsuit against some French paper for posting pics of Kate, so they definitely use that name when needed.

Speaking of names, Iβm assuming itβs purely parental preference on how many names a child has. I do think itβs interesting to see the variation though. Obviously H&M chose a first and middle name, vs W&K choosing 3 for each child. Prince Michael and Princess Michael chose 5 names for each kid.

And to throw a wrench in that William and Harry used the last name βWalesβ on their military uniforms instead of Mountbatten-Windsor.
