It’s hard to pick a name. I don’t know that I see Leopold. I know that it’s a family name for the UK royals, too, but it makes me think of King Leopold of Belgium who ruled over the genocide in the Congo. (If you look hard enough, you can find a bad example of every name, I know. I just think internationally there would be some negative push back against that name because of him, especially given all the BRF’s interest in Africa.)

I love the color of Kate's jacket. I like her look in general, but I'm usually a fan anyway. I like that Kate usually wears stuff I could see myself wearing of I had all the monies. 💯 Like the earlier post of her “nautical” outfits? That is my style 💯 if I had the $$$. I’m obsessed with her clothing 95% of the time. |

I see the appeal of doing the photo shoot on day 1. You’re relatively less sleep deprived and it’s like they day you get rear ended. It only gets much worse before it gets better. They still all look amazing though. Yep. I mean she looks AMAZING and way better than I ever would but 7 hours post birth I was still riding the endorphin high. 48 hours....oh it was bad. I literally sobbed all the way home from the hospital. OMG, the sleep deprivation hit so hard and my brain just wouldn’t brain. We had a 20-minute drive home from the hospital, at night, and I was so anxious because we forgot the car seat mirror. I kept twisting my poor beat-up body from the front passenger seat to try to see her. It did not occur to me until weeks later that I could’ve just sat in the back seat with her. 😂👏 I can’t imagine what kind of derpy thing I would’ve said at a royal photo call. |

He looks like an adorable newborn. She looks great. 500,000 times better than I did two days PP. she’s def got newborn baby boobies (they’re like popping out the top!) and PP pregnancy face and her fingers looked a little swollen to me in one of the close ups. Still. Adorable family. I WANT THE NAME!!!
I think i’m In the minority where I would have preferred a 2 days later photo shoot vs same day one. But I ended up hemorrhaging PP and was in so much pain plus the on call dr didn’t want to give me any narcotics, so it wasn’t until my DH threw down with the ob team (he’s also a dr at the same hospital I delivered) that they doped me up and I could move out of the fetal position. So by day 2 I was actually moving and showered and put real clothes on.

The photos are great. The baby is adorable! I am actually surprised they did a short interview. I was really expecting just one or maybe two pictures of them snuggled in a cozy chair on instagram.
