Lakes I believe you said you had appointment today as well? If so good luck I am sure your dd has been gaining weight and is doing well.

Morning! Currently preparing to head out to DS's swimming class. Then we'll probably go check out a new playground since it's not suppossed to get too hot today. We switched B's formula and so far he's benn sleeping better, including one night where he STTN!

Oh wow heybulldog! Do you suspect tummy issues or a good related sensitivity was part of the reason he was having such crap sleep?

Please reveal your secrets please and thank you 😁 Oh it was only one night haha he's back to waking up but it's been 12 am and 5 am instead of 10, 12, and 3. He's also been going back to sleep easier. He had been taking hours to fall back asleep so that's a relief. Lakes, h and I had read that Kirkland formula has been known to cause tummy troubles. He never had symptoms of any issues but I just had a gut feeling it was the formula. So not sure of specifics but it seems to be making a difference!

heybulldog ah well then I hope he continues to sttn for you. Also ftm so I am not really sure if a 5 month check-up is the norm. We are on a slightly modified shot schedule (getting them slightly earlier) due to overseas travel coming up. Could be why we have to go in.

Verdict: still a peanut.
We're holding steady in the 4th percentile, putting on one pound in a month and weighing in at a whopping 12lbs, 4oz. The chill doctor is fine with this since she's staying on the curve. She wouldn't introduce solids at this time and would try to wait till closer to 6 months and doesn't see the need for reflux meds since she's a happy spitter and putting on weight, albeit slowly. Unfortunately, she recommended keeping the 1-2 night feedings. I don't have to wake dd up but if she wakes on her own I have to feed her. I was hoping to drop back down to one. She made me feel better about everything. We don't have to go back until our regularly scheduled 6 month visit unless I have a concern with an increased spit up, feeding related grumpiness, etc.

There's a 2.5 year one right? The receptionist said she'd call me for ds' because the appointment books weren't open that far in advance but I don't trust them to actually call (theyvenever called to schedule anything before) and I'm afraid I'll miss it.

Glad you got some reassurance Lakes! When we were at DS's 2 year old appt last week they said he will come in again at 2.5 but I don't think he'll get any shots other than the annual flu shot until he's 4.

Back to reality at work and trying to meet a big deadline at the end of the week. And then we're flying to Chicago on Friday to visit my sister so I need to get prepared for that. Busy week ahead!

heybulldog, we also don't have a 5 month appt. pedi just wanted 2 more lbs by 6months. Lakes, some people are just small people. I'm glad the Doc isn't worried or scaring you. I believe 1 lb/month is pretty normal now, bc what I mentioned above, our pedi set our goal at 2 lbs for 2 months. Maybe set an alarm in your phone for a few mos to remind you about the appt? We had a better sleeping night. I tried drowsy but awake, she whined for an hour, even with me going in at intervals to try and soothe to sleep. I couldn't take anymore, so I nursed to sleep. She ended up waking up on the transfer, then only whined for a min or 2 before sleeping 11-630. Nurses again and got to sleep til 9 😳😳 Today's my Saturday, so we are going to lactation circle, then shopping for blackout curtains. I think we're making the room transfer sooner than later. Lakes , my nephew is super small and he's never been on the charts for weight. They would mention it every time he went to the doctor until my sister said test him for things or just stop mentioning it because it was stressing her out and it turns out after all the tests he's just a little guy. He's three now and is doing great but still doesn't weigh anything.

Our peds do: 4 month, 6 month, (can't remember if we had a 9 month), 12 month, 18 month, 2 year, 2.5 year, 3 year check ups. Hi strangers! Work is holding me hostage. The 2.5 year old is a mega brat these days but is doing SO well with swimming! Baby A continues to be adorable, but is crying SO much these past several days. I suspect teething. It's taking 4, 5, 6 attempts to get her to sleep in the evenings

carrots we just got back from Seattle and I was pleasantly surprised with flying with Q. He just slept the whole time so I hope it's the same for you. pibblemom yay for good sleep and I hope you have fun. Lakes I am glad that the doctor reassured you. Like neekoneeko said some people are just small. We just got done at the pedi, like chunk is 26 1/4 inches and 15 pounds 15 oz. She also said he has been conning me at night (waking up 4 times to eat) and he just wants cuddles. She told me to have H go soothe him at night because he wants to nurse when he sees me. Well if you insist 🤣 sorry H doctors orders!!

Glad the appointments went well.
E sttn again she seems to be so sleepy lately. Work has been busy. Going to a friend BBQ on Saturday. A sort of ex and his family will be there from out of town. It will be just weird I always hope H never puts together that for 5 years or so we were on and off hooking up. I refer to this guy as Mr. Big I hope at least one of you got the reference.

Work got busy today. Sorry for the lack of tags!
I'm missing my work from home day tomorrow because I have an appointment with IT to get my laptop replaced. Boo to that. I need to go grocery shopping badly.
Daycare asked me to bump Bs bottles up to 5oz instead of 4.5. I had a feeling this was coming because we dropped his night feed and he's gotta make up the oz elsewhere I guess. I've been giving them 2oz of bm for them to mix with cereal, so I might have to cut that back in order to meet the oz for bottles.
I feel like my supply is going down a bit because I'm only emptying my boobs 5x a day (morning, 3x at work, bedtime). I ran into this with DD but not until she was like 7 or 8 months old. Le sigh.

Hey ladies and happy Tuesday! Yay for good appointments ambiguousmango and Lakes! This week is soooo slow for work. Last week was busier since it was our quarter-end but now everyone seems to be on vacation or mailing it in. Which I'm totally fine with, if only I wasn't falling asleep at my desk. (atrb_partsz) I've decided I'm going to cut out my MOTN pump this weekend, which I'm both excited and nervous about. I'm proud of myself for making it almost 8 months getting up at least once to pump, but I'm afraid it's going to be the beginning of the end with pumping and I'm not quite ready to be done. FX it doesn't mess with my supply too much. We had a good sleeping night last night after an awful one the night before. N crashed at 7:30, ate when we put him to bed at 9:30, and then got up at 2:30 and 5:30. Not bad seeing that he's been doing the 9:30, 11:30, 2:30 and 5:00 thing lately. I'm wondering if putting him in his own room would help, but we still need to find curtains and a monitor for him. So much to do, so little time!

Hi! I'm sitting on the couch in the "vacation house" catching up on PLL and eating ice cream during the very precious double nap time.

ellabee my supply seems to be dropping a bit too based on my pumping output. I didn't make it past this point nursing DS so it's worrying me that I won't be able to keep nursing M. I'm not too worried about her daycare bottles and am fine to use my freezer stash or formula for those but I really want to keep nursing her.

We chopped, bundled, and dragged the brush pile out to the street for a special pick up tomorrow. Then I ambushed mh in the shower for some sexy time. I'm calling it a night and pouring myself some wine!

I'm up changing a poopy diaper. Ugh. I kinda hate solids right now. Please lord let B go back to not pooping overnight. I feel like he could be sleeping so much better. He did a handful of sttns before this solid crap. (See what I did there? Crappy crap pun.) ::sigh:: I'm tired.
