For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated. 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What are your most and least favorite things about nursing a toddler? 4. Do you still nurse in public? If not, when did you stop?
Pregnant & BFing/Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any current challenges (issues with supply, pain, aversion)? Questions for other moms?
GTKY:What are your weekly must-buys/staple purchases at the grocery store?

1. 3.3 yo 2. 1-3x 3. Snuggles, but the constant wanting to nurse and not wanting to stop are wearing on me. Weaning is not going to go smoothly 4. As a rule, no. I don't remember when we stopped, but somewhere around 2. I guess I technically nursed on an airplane at 2.5 yo, but it is very rare at that point. GTKY: chocolate, plantain chips, coconut milk, carrots, sparkling water... my list goes on. It's pretty boring

1. How old is your LO? 18 months old 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2 -- before nap and before bed. 3. What are your most and least favorite things about nursing a toddler? I love that he falls asleep while nursing before his nap and I love that he plays with my hand while nursing before bed. My least favorite thing is when he gets "slappy" or knocks my glasses off my face. 4. Do you still nurse in public? If not, when did you stop? I don't anymore. I stopped probably around 8 months old simply because he got so distracted. The closest I get now is nursing in the car at a rest stop while traveling 🤷
GTKY:What are your weekly must-buys/staple purchases at the grocery store? French vanilla coffee creamer 🤣 the rest of the stuff is for the kids/I don't care about (milk, yogurt, cheese, pasta, etc). Though we try to stock up on shelf stable/stuff we can freeze when it goes on sale.

1. 19mo 2. 2x 3. I love the snuggles and one-on-one time right after we all get home. I dislike the biting/dragging his teeth. 4. I can't remember the last time we did, so I'll say no. It probably stopped around 12mo.
GTKY: Bananas. We go through them like water.
