How’s it going? 0-3 moDid you do anything to prepare for breastfeeding while pregnant? 4-8 moWhat is something about breastfeeding you wish someone had told you on day 1? If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? 9-12moDo you have plans to TTC that affect your BF plans? Questions/AW? How old is your LO? - 10mo
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? - nursing, well
9-12mo Do you have plans to TTC that affect your BF plans? - no. If we decide we want a third, we’ll ttc around DS2’s second birthday. DS1 was 2.5yo when we started trying for this baby, and he nursed most of my pregnancy despite drying up very quickly.
Questions/AW? - DS2 bedshares & has been nursing much less at night. He’s decided he likes to sleep with his back to me as little spoon, and it’s so cute.

How old is your LO? 9.5 months
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing on demand at home, just switched to pumping 2x a day at work. I'm going to be a few ounces short for daycare (probably i'll be sending 10 oz instead of 12), but whatever. DS3 is a good eater and i have a little bit in the freezer. i get to a point where i just can't handle 3x a day anymore.
9-12mo Do you have plans to TTC that affect your BF plans? No. If we are crazy enough to have another one, it wouldn't be until DS3 was 2 years old.
Gtky: what’s the last thing you read that you enjoyed or would recommend? (Book, magazine, article, blog, joke on the back of a cereal box, whatever) haven't read any great books so far this year. we saw The Lego Movie 2 in the theater and that was good- it made me laugh a bunch of times. i also liked russian doll on netflix, but i didn't really get into it until halfway through.

How old is your LO? 8 months
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing when together, pumping at work. I'm really struggling with supply and pumping. I'm using every trick I know of to up my supply, but I don't feel like I can get on top of it during the weekends to help me during the week. Anyone have any thing I might not have thought of? Generally, I have a small storage capacity, but right now, I'm just having trouble extracting milk (I can hand express more when I absolutely can't pump more)
4-8 mo What is something about breastfeeding you wish someone had told you on day 1? I have no idea. Day 1 is 2.5 years of nursing ago for me (2 with DD and then the 8+ months with DS), so I feel like I know enough now.
If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? See above. I have contemplated quitting several times over the last few weeks partially due to pumping issues, but I know that's a bad choice. Also, on this white screen, I can see drops of milk on my monitor. Oops.
Questions/AW? See above re: pumping supply. I should mention that I have no concern that DS is getting enough when he nurses directly from me.
Gtky: what’s the last thing you read that you enjoyed or would recommend? (Book, magazine, article, blog, joke on the back of a cereal box, whatever) I just read The Bear and the Nightingale, and it was good, but too suspenseful for me, so I don't think I'll keep going on the trilogy it begins.

vvvvvfee, I get about 7.5 during the work day, another 2 between when he goes to bed and when I do, so total 9-10 oz, he drinks at least 12, DCP would like to give him much more than that but I've stopped sending more than 12-13. Right now I'm pulling out of the freezer, and then pumping some early mornings before he gets up to make up the difference. DCP does all food, but he eats a TON (at home he will eat an entire avocado spoon fed to him, with no waste). He's eating plenty/fine, I just get grief from DCP that he's "so thirsty" (eyeroll) when he gets there in the morning.

potatocakes, honestly i think he'd be fine with 8 or 10 oz. if he's a good eater. send an extra serving of food, or send in cheerios or crackers or something that they can keep there if he's "starving." tell them to offer water with his meals. also DCP are often in that formula fed mindset where kids just keep upping their ounces and taking bigger and bigger bottles as they get older. when you drop him off, tell them, "i just nursed him at X time. he won't need a bottle until 11 AM (or whenever)." i would try to cram in as many extra nursing sessions as you can at home instead of pumping extra. easier and stimulates your supply better than pumping. i always have the same pumping output drop at around 8 months with each kid, so i think it's pretty normal. my kids never seem frustrated at the breast at home and i have plenty of milk on weekends when i'm not measuring every drop. le sigh. pumping causes so much unnecessary stress.

I think he'd be fine too, but she's been known to give him 8 oz in a single serving (I'm ok with that, as long as she stays within the ounces I give her for the day). I agree with you on the formula mindset. I think as we get closer to a year I will taper off (like keep fresh milk back if I add in frozen to keep him <12 oz). I feed him 2-3 times between work and bed (330-630pm), as well as again in the morning before I leave (H does drop offs). He eats until he's full at those times, that's really all I can do. DCP is a weird situation because she provides food under the free lunch program due to being in a low income neighborhood, but that also means there are weird restrictions on when she can feed them, but no restrictions on when they can have milk, so she uses milk as a tool to bridge. She also provides formula, but I don't think would add 1-2 oz like we need, but rather would give him another 5 and he wouldn't want/need to nurse after work. It's a negotiation, for sure.

How old is your LO? 10 months
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? All 3. Nursing is fine, but pumping is Grrr. I'm STILL waiting on the valves for my pump, and now the 2nd one is giving out. So I have to pump what I can with the single pump, and then go in with my hand pump to get the rest because I can feel that my breasts are still hard. And I'm still only getting 3-4 oz PER DAY for 8+ hours separated so I'm worried that this stupid thing has impacted my supply.
9-12mo Do you have plans to TTC that affect your BF plans? I was planning on nursing him until he self weaned, but we're actually NTNP now, so we'll see how it goes.
Questions/AW?
Gtky: what’s the last thing you read that you enjoyed or would recommend? (Book, magazine, article, blog, joke on the back of a cereal box, whatever) I started a new book called "Extinction Reversed". It seems good so far, but I'm just annoyed because it's in PDF format on my phone, so it doesn't automatically save where I was last

Man, I never knew how little milk I was pumping because of my valves. Got quite a bit out now that they're replaced, but I work on Wednesday so we'll really see then.
I have a funny story though, since it just happened again lol. If F is in a mess, I'll just take him in the shower with me. He's started literally pulling my boob up to latch on lol. Tonight he had it with both hands, pulling my boob up from under my arm. It was funny.
