Finally Friday!

Thank goodness! This has been such a long week at work. Yesterday I had to go to the Chief about something someone else did that was really shady. Not quite fireable but concerning and took up a big part of my day. Today I catch up.

Last night C and DH were playing and C had changed into his pjs downstairs. He was all hyped up and he threw his dirty undies at DH. Dh laughed and said Yuck. Of course C thinks its hilarious and does it again. DH says ok that's enough. And C does it again. So I tell him we need to take a marble out of his jar for not listening. He obliges and seems ok. Then I find him sitting on the stairs whimpering. He says with tears ready to spill over out of his big blue eyes "I've never had a marble taken away before (not true). Do you know how this feels? It feels like I'm lost even though I am home". Saddest thing ever! I had to fight back tears. He must have heard that from someone because it's an odd one. Anyway, I gave him an easy task to help me with to earn the marble back and all was good.

Morning. Normal office day today. Dh is out to a concert with his dad tonight and I’m kind of looking forward to a night on my own tonight. My stomach to a hit after all the painkillers it took last week, so I need to find a probiotic or something.

Rain again here, yay. I feel like I’ve been in a funk this week; I’m partly blaming it on the weather.

I have our monthly MOPS dinner tonight so that should be fun.

Morning! We are supposed to have L's bday party tomorrow but she started puking yesterday. She seems better today but we are cancelling just in case (plus multiple sick family members). I'm going to go stir crazy with the kids today because it's rainy and I don't want to spread our germs anywhere...

I'm off work today for kindergarten round up. H is going into work late so he can go with us. Evie is nervous, fortunately 2 of the girls she goes to preschool with will be there. After we are meeting my mom for lunch. I'd like to get groceries today too

I forgot my phone at the office yesterday. I didn't know what to do with myself last night.

Attorney just came in and had some of my time taken off the bill to the client. I said it makes me feel like I wasted my time and the chick said, "you still get paid". Right, but it's like my time spent on that opinion wasn't worth it. And it was like an hour or more. It's frustrating. And that was just one of the opinions. He said to take off all of my proofing time for any opinions that were updates. Uh, that's fucking all the shit he's been giving me lately. So annoying.

Mh took Cadence to the ball fields last night to watch some of the games. He said as soon as she saw the playground she was done. I didn't even know they had a playground. They were gone for like an hour, so that was nice.

Yesterday on the way to school DD got a migraine so I took her home for meds then took her late to school. Last night at hockey, DS lasted 4 minutes of practice before coming off the ice because he didn’t feel well. Overnight DH and DS1 were both throwing up. C had a coughing fit at 4:30 and never went back to sleep.

The good news is, I located DH’s missing credit card. It’s at Wendy’s, by the beach house. We are suppose to go down tomorrow after soccer. Who knows if everyone will make it but I guess at least one of us should go pick up the card.

Morning Ladies! I stayed up late chatting with my BFF and I'm feeling it today. We have a bonfire tonite and a dinner with friends tomorrow, so I need to get my act together and make something for both. This requires thinking, a trip to the grocery store and then actually cooking something, so I am trying to think of creative ways around it 😉

TGIF!

I’m feeling a little accomplished already. After I dropped the boys off, I dropped off papers at a free shredding event, grabbed a smoothie and the snacks for tonight’s tee ball game before heading into work. It’s my short day, then I have a hair appointment for color. I have to darken my highlights a little. Last year, another girl went to light and I have a little damage. Stylist I go to now suggested a little darker color to help seal that particular area. I’m all for it because I hate for any of my hair to look unhealthy.

FFFC: So lately during my insomnia hours I watch random youtube videos. The other night I landed on one that was basically the start of 1D. Then all of their X Factor performances, then just random mashups of interviews and rando shit. I am now obsessed with Harry Styles. Don't laugh. I'm not like in love with him or anything, I'm just into his music.

Tgif! It's gross and rainy here, but looks gorgeous this weekend, so I'm fine with that. I have a belated 6 month skin check this afternoon and then mh has some baseball nerd book signing, so he will be home late again(yesterday was the home opener).

Tomorrow we have tball opening day bright and early, so hoping that is fun, I may die seeing him in his first uniform, he's so excited. I also am hoping to get some plants in our planters and find some horse trough style ones to put on our 3 foot ledge in the middle of our backyard.. mh had a coworker tell him he'd be ridiculous to put grass down in our backyard, so I think he's onboard for wood chips and a play structure, thank goodness. How we will accomplish that is beyond me, but sound easier than growing grass in a shady area that is currently mulched.

Oh and funny story, n is apparently quite the pushover at school and won't say anything if someone takes something from her. Yesterday I sent her in her new Patagonia baseball hat and a kid tried to touch the back and she lost her mind yelling at him. And then told a girl "get out of my face!" And her teacher was so surprised/happy to hear her speak up that she high fived her rather than correcting her😂. Lord help me if she goes from the sweet kid to the mean girl..

This is amazing.  

I can totally relate to obsessing.  Currently it's Gossip Girl....not sure if it's worse or better than 1D and Harry Styles but here we are.

Are they open to modifying it? Does this tie to a pay raise? I would not accept it given that you are not an Admin (right?). I think titles are really important for both self esteem and future opportunities. This year I moved from HR/Procurement Technician to Administrative Specialist. That switch makes me feel more important even though I am doing the same job.

From what you've described your more of a Project Team Lead or Technical Coordinator?  What are other positions, like yours, called?

Operations Account Specialist

They haven’t taken it to HR yet so no idea if this will be a pay raise. I don’t want to go the admin route. While there are ways to move up it’s really hard.
