beenthere I feel your pain. I’ve already been asked more times than I care to count if we are going to try for a girl. Like this baby isn’t even born yet!

beenthere When I told MIL we were having another girl her comment was "That's ok. As long as it's healthy." The way she said it was as though she just assumed that we were disappointed that we were having another girl. I think there can be something really special about same sex sibling bonds. I get pretty snark towards people who make comments about us needing to try again for a boy. I always wanted all boys, but I'm thrilled now to be having all girls.

I'm the same, sammysam. Every time we are asked if we're hoping it's a boy, I laugh and say we wouldn't know what to do with a boy! And that's the truth! Or I point out that I would feel an little bit bad for a boy with three older sisters 🤣

Week/fruit/EDD: 22w5d, ear of corn, 7/31
FTM, etc: 4thTM
Appointments: next week but we booked a last minute trip to see my parents so I have to reschedule 🤦♀️
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green
Milestones: feeling pretty regular movement
Symptoms: my lady parts just ache. I have had to start icing them. Embarrassing.
Rants: surprisingly none. Life is decent.
Raves: I CAN EAT AGAIN! I haven't vomited in a few days and although I can't eat much in one sitting, my appetite is back!! Now just waiting for the heartburn to kick in...

Week/fruit/EDD: 26w2d/acorn squash/ 7.7 FTM, etc: STM Appointments: in 2 weeks. Glucose drink is sitting in my fridge Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink Milestones: baby gifts have started arriving in the mail...MIL literally shipped a laundry basket full of stuff to us. Symptoms: heartburn, Braxton Hicks, tons of movement. Rants: a bit frustrated by the fact that I can’t set up the nursery until a month or two after baby is born. We’ll be upgrading DS to the current guest room and using his current room as the nursery, but we can’t do that until all visitors have come and gone post-baby. Raves: I’ve been craving sushi and finally got some yesterday. It was amazing.

moreorless sorry you have to delay the nursery. I found I was really excited and motivated to do projects around the house during my maternity leave. If you are sending your older child to daycare still then being home alone with an infant may feel like a vacation to you! It certainly did to me 🤣 if you are keeping your older one home for maternity leave it may be more challenging but I hope you are able to get it done and that it doesn't cause too much stress for you.

sammysam what stroller system did you get? We are doing an infant seat for the first time with this one, but I'm not sure a package is worth it or if I should just get a snap and go stroller for the bucket seat. With our other two we've just gone straight to a convertible.

elodin I was planning on going straight to the convertible this time but I decided to treat myself. I got the Peg Perego Book Scout. Basically a chassis system. You can either use it with the infant seat, bassinet attachment or an actual seat (the seat reclines fully, has a huge sun shade and is rated for use without the car seat from birth). It was pricey but I hated the system I had with DD so it was definitely a splurge. I got the infant seat, bassinet and bassinet stand too because...well...I wanted them.

Week/fruit/EDD: 24+4/pomegranate/7/21 but will be induced NLT 39 weeks so 7/14 at the latest
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: Saw my OB on Monday (all was good). Growth Scan with the MFM on the 15th
Team: blue
Milestones: Reached viability!!!
Symptoms: So tired and so much heartburn, which also is causing nausea again. I also got cankles for the first time this weekend after spending the day on my feet in NYC.
Rants: I have bruises and welts all over my belly from insulin injections. It itches.
Raves: 15 more weeks MAX until this baby comes, I can't believe it! I'm also finally starting to feel more connected to him.

Week/fruit/EDD: 19w6d, Gameboy, August 23
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: Anatomy scan today
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green
Milestones: 20 weeks tomorrow! Sort of halfway (DD was born at 40w3d). Loads of kicking, so either the placenta isn’t anterior like we thought or the placenta is high and the Baby is low.
Symptoms: Hunger, acid reflux, thirst, frequent urination, sore pelvis, fatigue
Rants: We are on the tail end of what I now suspect was the flu. It’s a challenge to take care of a sick toddler & yourself in general but definitely seems harder while pregnant. Also, I can’t find my preferred maternity jeans, I only have 2 pairs so this is quite annoying.
Raves: While I still haven’t hemmed them, I started wearing my maternity yoga pants (I used safety pins instead). I don’t want to wear anything else now.

Update: u/s went well confirm posterior placenta and the baby is lying super low across my pelvis hence this pregnancy feeling so different. And I found my maternity jeans, they fell off the basement couch when I was folding laundry and were hidden behind an end table. 🤦🏻♀️
