kim22 I don't know if it's everywhere in Jersey or just my area, but yesterday there were apparently 200 kids absent from our High School with the stomach bug, and at least 40 more were sent home mid day for vomiting at school.  It's awful.  It's spread to the middle schools and elementary schools and I am just waiting for it to hit day care since there are so many kids with older siblings in the school system.

It's bananas.  There are only about 1000 kids in the high school... so 25% have a stomach bug??  Crazy.  

The other day I felt like I had the flu but I have no respiratory symptoms. Then I read this years shot (which I got) was a good match for preventing respiratory symptoms so I’m wondering if I actually have some form of the flu.

DH is claiming I will be good for the beach house later. I told him the first night is suppose to have margaritas on the rooftop deck followed by really good sex. None of that will be happening tonight.

I’m waiting to board my plane listening to the people behind me discuss how they hope they don’t have to sit next to the guy with the baby. Annoying. My only thought was I hope I’m not next to them because I have a cold and would feel bad. Also the bathroom had a huge line so I’ll have to pee at some point mid air and have a window and would hate to ask someone with a baby to move

I’ll be home by 2. I’m excited to unpack and do laundry and settle back in and then get C later. He will be so excited!

That’s sounds awful jewels. There was a bug like that - days long- going around a few months ago. It seemed to have hit the town in high numbers. Not great. FX your family stays free of it.

Morning! I had the worst case of vertigo yesterday. I have never really experienced anything like it. It started on my way home from work. I stopped at Walmart to pick up something for MH and as I was walking through the store I felt like the floor was moving. Once I got back out to my car I felt a bit better. Drove on home and it kicked in again. I finally just laid in bed all evening while MH did all the parenting. I feel better this morning but sill feel a bit "off".

Today is my last day with the Fire guys! I like it here but am definitely ready to get back to my normal job and not make the commute everyday! I will still have to come here some since our HQ office is here...but it will be in a gov vehicle and on gov time...that makes it easier. Lol. I also just found out that we are moving buildings next week. So I will be back just in time for that. I think they purposely waited for me to return so I can help the guys (LE) organize the new space. I am going from a whole building to myself to a small office that I will now share with my seasonal employees. So I am getting shafted in the move.

Morning Ladies. It is only 10 am and my phone is almost out of battery already. Luckily my new one arrives in the mail today. My kids (minus Bea) are at the ILs and I am taking it easy today. Still in my jammies, drinking coffee and running out the battery on my phone. I'll take it.

It's Friday!!! Ahhh! I'm so excited. We have everything planned for the scavenger hunt tonight. I think the girls will have a lot of fun with that in and of itself because they love that sort of thing. I think they will go crazy when they get to the end and see we're going to WDW. Scott is super thrilled to surprise them too. He's going to dress up like a pirate for the scavenger hunt. Lol.

Now I just need to get through work. I've been staying on top of things this week so it shouldn't be too bad. Scott has a half day and promised me he'd clean the house this afternoon; he acknowledged I've been doing everything lately and just some recognition and feeling appreciated was nice.

Last night in TKD I got to do a lot of sparring and bag work so I was pumped and happy.

We usually go to Land because we're west coasters. This time we're going to World. My mom, older brother, and younger brother and his partner are also joining us. It's a first for everyone but Scott and I. When I was stationed in GA years ago we did a short trip down there but we had a 5mo Maddie with us so we didn't get to see a lot.

And if you want some happy news, my older brother is the biggest sweet heart. He lives for lotto which is one of his primary hobbies. He won $500 the other day and is beyond thrilled. It's like winning the Power Ball to him.

So fun to have your family join you. Odd years are Disney years for us but with the new house, we aren’t going. We may aim for November 2020 during “Jersey week” (a week mostly only N.J. has no school and therefore we all flock to Disney). We always went in summer when it was 100 degrees so fall would be a nice change.

After drop-off C and I ran to Wally World for cupcakes for the basketball party tomorrow, and some Easter stuff. Now we're home having lunch before pick-up. DH and I have a date-night tonight (our anniversary is Sunday), and it's supposed to be a nice weekend here so I'm excited!

flamingo, I always forget we share an anniversary, ours is Sunday too. But obviously we won't be celebrating. I actually got a sitter for the day and am going to a boozy brunch with my local mom friends.

Tonight my parents are coming to stay with the boys for a few hours and I have a jewelry MLM type party. I usually don't love those things but I'll take any excuse to get out of the house for a glass of wine and some adult conversations!
