Morning! Visited my gp this morning. Apparently my whole back is in a knot causing the pain. It can be caused by a weird movement (not the case) or stress related (more likely). He got me on some more pain meds & I stayed home from work, which is good because the meds are making me tired af. The kids are at my in-laws and at school, so I can actually rest for a change, which is nice.

Morning! We have Charlie’s three year well visit today, so I’m driving back down to Westchester, getting his physical in (Josie also has to get a vaccine for kindergarten) and then meeting up with my cousin and friend for lunch.
I need to stop at either Walmart Target on the way home because Charlie got a Lego table for his birthday (a very generous gift, but man does it take up a lot of room), and we don’t have enough of the small Legos to really build something.

Although I didn’t have everyone to bed until 9:30, they all slept great. C is napping and everyone else is at school. I should be working out but I’m procrastinating.
Today after school there is a meeting for 3rd grade parents about state testing because it’s the first year they take it. They have changed the name of the test but it’s basically the same. I didn’t plan to go because my other kid has already taken it, I’m a teacher in the district, then send the same stuff home in writing, and DD listens to everything her teacher tells her. My kid though was making me feel guilty for not going though so I may have to. I already do my best to make sure my kids get a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast so I’d rather not listen to questions about things we cannot change. Am I the worst?

kim22 wee skip out on a lot of things at the school because they are held late at night. I try to go to about half of them. I talk with his teacher and the director often so I skip those kinds of meetings. I go to the ones LO is expected to preform or show us something. It’s hard.

I’m exhausted. I don’t want to go to work but I have to since I’m already taking Friday off this week and Wednesday next week.

kim22 not at all! If you have all the info you need to have, why go? You could always tell your kid that you asked one of the other parents to keep an ear out for new intel.

I'm waiting at the dentist office then I basically have science fair at work. Tomorrow E has science fair at school. Mh and him made a rainbow jar with different liquids over the weekend.

We have X's ADOS study tomorrow. Just getting all outr stuff in order for that.
I have a quiz tonight.
I looked at my naked butt in the mirror this morning and now I'm upset. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea. I felt like ruining my life, I guess.

Morning! nam2013 I hope your back feels better soon, glad you could take today off. I'm not a huge massage fan either. They're *fine* but I'll take a facial any day over massage. Just tried on the JCrew swimsuits that were delivered this morning. Nothing disastrous but nothing great, either. Argh, guess I will have to suck it up and head out to shop at some point. cagoldi , i hear you on the rear view sadness after swimsuit try-on's. I think I look pretty good from the front then I hold up a mirror to check out the backside. :sad trombone: I need to start getting stuff prepped for book club, but i want another cup of coffee first. A front came in last night and plunged temps back into the 40s, and I cannot get warm. C'mon, spring, let's get it together. |

Morning! I’m WFH today. MH took S to the neurologist in STL. I’ve had to take off so much with her lately it was his turn! Plus, that drive is getting to me...I needed a break! So I made a calculated decision to WFH today since I didn’t have a lot on my plate at work, that way I have the house to myself and I can catch up on laundry and DVR while I work 😉.

nam2013 I hope you can relax today and feel better! flamingo I ordered a couple of swimsuits off zulily and 2 delivered yesterday...I had to have H help me get out of one of them. Pretty disappointed. One of my vendors emailed to see if I wanted 3 tickets to Royals opening day Thursday, my boss said she didn't care if I took the afternoon to go, so we are taking Evie to the game. She will be so excited! It's supposed to rain Thursday though.

Rambles ahead...
Remember when I had that biopsy done and the dr suggested a D&C? We decided to wait it out a few months to see if it would resolve on it's own. This past month was horrible so I called yesterday to see if there was a possibility of it getting better or if the D&C was necessary. So we decided to do the D&C.
When they called me to schedule it I asked if they could do a tubal at the same time. If I'm already paying $4000 for this and she was all up in my biz anyways, might as well get it done at the same time, right?
Well now they're making me come in next week to meet with the dr about it. She's going to be on vacation for a month after Easter so the earliest any of this will be scheduled is June. Although if I was just doing the D&C I could do it 4/17.

Morning, random crap is popping up at work today and I'm annoyed. Tried getting out the door early bc today's the first day of tball practice. Really hoping he loves it bc this is going to be a major PITA.
My dad had me call my grandma yesterday to tell her the news and she immediately asked it if was a surprise.. and then asked me if I had the mink coat and wasn't too impressed with my response of looking forward to going somewhere fancy enough to wear it. She said I figured it's so cold up there you could wear it all the time 😂. Trying to imagine rolling up to preschool in a full length fur coat😳.

Lol cagoldi . I'm sorry for laughing, but I'm still laughing.  FFFC, my girls love Baby Got Back from Sir Mix-a-Lot. I've got the big part going on for my butt, but I don't think Sir Mix-a-Lot was counting on all that cellulite. nam2013 I get it about not wanting people touching you, but when it comes to massages I practically disrobe before the masseuse leaves the room because I love them so much. I hope you get some relief soon. Have fun mwhip ! kim22 team skip the meeting. tgrimes that's really frustrating. A month is crazy. Her MIL lives in Japan so she normally goes out there for a month every year. I'm sure she could refer me to another dr in the practice, but I'd prefer not to have someone I don't know do this procedure. That may be weird, but I trust her. |
