I'm at work. I have 500+ emails to go through since I was out last week, so that is not delightful.

C was well enough to go back to school today. H and I went to the gym (well he went to the daycare lol), and he had a GREAT day. It was a substitute there and she said he was so helpful and sweet anf shared and had such nice manners. I hope this means whatever he was going through the last 2 weeks is over. I feel like I'm getting something in my chest. I really hope it's nothing serious and just ends up being a minor cough/cold. DH isn't home for another 2 weeks so it would REALLY suck to get sick right now.

My schedule at work this week is slow so I'm going to be bored AF. These are days I wish I could be home all week. But according to my CWs, even once a week is too much so then I feel weird doing it even though technically it's not against company policy.

goldenlove, I was just thinking that maybe we need a weekly randoms vs. every day! It makes me sad though LOL tgrimes, Good luck getting through those emails? Any chance 1/2 are spam? danib, I'm glad C feels better. I hope H is taking a turn for the better. We had speech therapy this morning. With the registration for preschool and kindergarten last week, I had lots of questions about how L would just "fit in" to pre-3 when he turns 3. He would normally have to wait till September 2020 before he could get but due to his speech, he'll go in after he turns 3 in December so their is no break in his therapy. DH feels like putting kids in school so early isn't the best. I'm anxious, between his allergies and his speech issues... I'm just not ready to be thinking about this.

Cheshie6 what does pre-3 school entail? Is it just like daycare with some structured learning, or is it like sit at tables mpst of the day and spend the day learning and being evaluated like K.

Cheshie6, I have always had mixed emotions with my kids in school so young. But W's mild speech delay was helped tremendously by school. The twins have fun and they are excited to go. They're all happy and healthy (they would be at home with me, too I suppose). I spent a lot of time at home trying to balance my need to do day to day tasks with trying to find some me time with trying to service all of their needs, and I don't know that I was super successful. And now that they are all in school, I feel a little guilt about not being at home with them. Whether he's in school or not you'll still have the mixed feelings. Try to make the best decision while setting aside your own anxieties. All that said, I don't know that there is a "right" age to begin schooling, and certainly it won't be universal. You spend the most time with him, if you think he is ready for the social challenges (both good and bad) and he'll have fun, then send him! You can always call and see about doing a few trial days (note that drop off is the most dramatic the first few days so it may *feel* huge and like he may not be ready, but that part doesn't last long). Anyways, there's my rambling thoughts on to school or not to school.

A friend of mine sent me a house they're going to look at today. H and I are very confused about why they're looking in the area they're looking. They want to move close to her job which is understandable but this city is like on the opposite side of the area away from all their family and friends. They just moved back from OOT and have been living with his parents to save up and house hunt. They have so many good options for cities and houses that are nicer and less than this house and a shorter drive to her work and it wouldn't be so far away. I dunno. It's obviously their decision and their life and if that's where they want to be, I'll be happy for them. It's just not going to be easy to see them when they're an hour away vs 20 minutes. The H is one of MH's best friends and he's been hanging out with him a lot since they've moved back. But that's going to slow down quite a bit if they move to this area.

Cheshie6 I don't have the option of staying at home with the kids so both of mine are daycare babies. M started the Pre-3 class before she turned 3 and H will do the same this September, since they're both November babies. I drop them off around 7. Their "school portion" is from 9-12 and then they play the rest of the day. I realize there are some crazy strict schools out there for pre-k and I would probably be against that for my kids. But if it's just for a few hours it's no big deal. It gets him to socialize with other kids and get ready for the structure of kindergarten when the time comes.

danib, I honestly don’t know! Information feels so guarded. I go to the school page and they only have forms for entry, they don’t have anything about what they do, how many days, morning or afternoons, etc. I went to the school district’s page and it only refers me to the school. I don’t know how I’m supposed to get a 504 plan for his allergies, on top of his IEP. I’m so lost!

Cheshie6 That sucks that they don't have information in their website. Do they have a number or email for someone who can provide what you need? We almost signed C up for pre-3 but we could not work out the pick up and drop off times since it was only twice a week for a couple hours each morning.

goldenlove, I called the school and I’m waiting till we have the meetings with the coordinator. But he only has to be there when the speech person is there so it’ll only be 2-3 days a week. She did suggest I ask the nurse to be involved with such a bad allergy. I just hate wait and seeing. Give me all the information.

H has to go to ILs tonight because they can't figure out how to hook up a new receiver. Since W is still in school by their house (wanted to finish out the school year in one place), it'll just be the twins and I tonight. I don't really mind so long as he'll be home by bedtime. They're getting better but it's still a bit of a production and I don't know how I'd take care of them both.

I'm still deep in avoidance/I don't need to see you territory so I think I've seen them only a few times. But overall fine. It's really telling that we moved out less than a month ago and going back to the house I feel nothing - no sense of nostalgia or whatever. It immediately reverted back to a foreign space for me. It was never really my home so I guess that makes sense. They still go to their retirement house every other weekend, my FIL just lives here now in between. He takes W to golf lessons once per week and has dinner with us. This past weekend they got W from school Friday and let him sleep over and then took the twins for the day on Sat, then H and I went there for dinner and retrieved the kids. They are making an effort to see the kids regularly. So we still see them but it's a few hours here and there as opposed to ALL THE TIME. A huge relief overall.

I had insomnia last night, I had forgotten this was a regular first trimester thing for me last time too. Doesn't matter how tired I am, I just cannot fall asleep. Oh well, at least I'm not operating heavy machinery? lol

I'm trying to ignore the huge amount of cupcakes in the office, but the person who sits next to me has one on her desk and she's been away from her desk for hours. So I can smell it. And there's still a dozen out. Help.

Just realized, Liam had another word week! He is saying hill, and bump. Mostly in the car, and when he’s playing with his trains. Today he said hand! While eating dinner, he wanted to hold my hand.
Does anyone ever want to open a store? I go they phases... I want a flower/yarn/wine/paper store! Not sure about the flowers but thinking sip & stitch on Thursday’s, and sip & scrapbook on another night! Lol

B just got finished with speech and now the boys are just finishing up breakfast. I had this idea of running all sorts of errands today but the sound of doing all of that with two toddlers in tow sounds tiring. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow when I have 1 kid for a few hours.
I am so ready for the weather to warm up. The rest of the week is supposed to warm up so I am looking forward to that.

I feel like my hair is graying at an accelerated pace.
K is doing this new thing where she wants me to lay down on the floor, so she can lay on my stomach. And then she has me say a food. So I go "yogurt" or "chicken" and she repeats the food and starts laughing and squealing. The last two mornings she has grabbed my hand and said "let's talk about food!" And dragged me to my bedroom to lay on the floor.
Truly, she's a weirdo.
