Charlie’s party was such a success and the snowy morning turned into a sunny and bright afternoon. we have so much leftover pizza. I feel like will be eating it for days.
Josie brought home the preschool stuffed animal for the weekend, so I need to get some pictures printed this morning so we can get a journal entry together for it, Then I signed her up for a royalty the party at a local preschool this afternoon. It’s only an hour but should be cute!

DH took Chase to the grocery store and Colin is playing independently in his room. I win.

Morning. The kids are swimming one last time before we leave. Then it’s a 4 hour drive home. Dh is on his was home from Nashville, in a van with 8 hungover guys. I’d much rather drive solo 4 hours with kids than be in his position.

I really want to see Us but I might wait for digital release since Scott's too big of a scaredy cat to go. Someday Maddie will be my horror movie buddy.

Saw Captain Marvel yesterday. I liked the last half and girl power story elements, but why must all these comic book movies be so looooong? They need editing and this one needed better story writers because some elements were confusing.

M did this a month or so ago. I was all confused because it’s literally next to the toilet. He fessed up to it, but no reasonable explanation. Boys, man.

Mh slept til like 10:30 despite saying he wanted to get up and go hiking today. I had no patience for the kids and now I'm lounging in bed while he had breakfast and manages them. Somehow I think his hike may be reduced to a walk around the neighborhood.. j and I are going to a podcast live show in the city this afternoon. We are taking the metro, so he is pretty jazzed.

I think I’m taking the boys to the zoo today to get out the house. I have quite a bit to do in M2s nap time, so hoping the zoo tires him out enough for a nice long nap.

lahdeedah I forgot to chime in the other day regarding carpet. Can't speak much to the carpet but my robot vacuum, Buddy, is the favorite member of my household. I don't have to ask him to clean, he genuinely enjoys it, he doesn't stop until the job is done, and he doesn't backtalk, bargain, or try to get out of chores. I love him.

DH was supposed to start at 12 and I haven't heard anything otherwise so hoping this means he's up in the air! I will be so glad to put this phase of this process behind us. Thank you for all the good vibes, I think they worked!--maybe I should have put this out in the universe earlier, lol. 

I'm about to take both kids to the grocery store, haven't had to do this in forever. Should be...fun. Will probably need a mimosa when I get home.

Oh, random question. I'm hosting book club on Wednesday morning; what do we think of this menu? Coffee/tea/OJ, Ham biscuits, fruit, blueberry muffins, pimento cheese/crackers, and hummingbird cake (it's a bundt, goes great with coffee). This is plenty, right? I'm trying to make stuff I can prep in advance so I'm not rushing since I have drop-off at 9:30 and ppl start arriving at 10.

vino sorry about Pete’s health. Big hugs. I don’t know if cat seizure meds are much different than people seizure meds, but that often can make Sierra sleepy as well, so do t be surprised if he seems like he is sleeping more, more lethargic.

I don't think I could sleep til 10:30 even if I had no kids in the house and absolutely nothing to do!

Mine is on a timer to run MOTN in my main living/dining room (hardwood with a small carpet runner by the door). It inspires me to pick stuff off the floor before going to bed but it is pretty good at going around things (if anything has a string though, it will get stuck). It fits under my couches and hutch but not my tv stand. I move it upstairs and run it like once a week in each bedroom. It has sensors you can place on the floor to keep it out certain areas (like when I run in my upstairs hall I use the sensor so it doesn’t fall down the steps). It’s great for keeping the dog hair under control.

Jackson did amazing at his first soccer game! He listened and paid attention the whole time and even scored a goal! While making robot noises lol.
This is while they were practicing before hand. He just stood there, super focused lol.

tallb like kim22 I keep mine on a timer. It runs in our kitchen/playroom/living room and dining room overnight. We have tile, hardwood, carpet and area rugs in that part of the house and it does fine on all those surfaces. Occasionally it’ll get trapped under my china cabinet but usually it can find its way out. I usually vacuum our carpeted bedrooms bc I think that is more thorough, but for day-to-day crumbs, doghair, etc. "Rosie" does a great job.

I was honestly a bit disappointed. It wasn't scary at all, but they called it a horror. I also found it a bit predictable. I'm a really hard audience/critic for horror movies though.

Quiet day today. Cadence and I went for kolaches, then browsed at the book store. After lunch we went to the park to attempt some bluebonnet pictures.

nam2013 The hummingbird cake IS delicious! I love making it in the spring. It has crushed pineapple and banana in it so it is very moist; plus can't go wrong with a cream cheese glaze/frosting. Here's the recipe if you're interested.



Also, the flight is done, DH is home, and he passed! Woohoo!!!

I heard that Jordan Peale has been saying it is not a horror movie. Definitely more or a suspense/psychological thriller.

Also I just went to clean Cs room and he drew a picture with people all holding hands across the page. It was a little freaky! No worries though, he said it’s the people that died on the Titanic 😐

I can’t wait to get mine. My grandma and mom got one in the past 6 months and they were both skeptical about it but love it. I told her I want to get one for the new house and she said that her and my grandma had already discussed getting it for us. I was so excited. Glad you all love it!
