We haven't sent ours yet but will do it this weekend! S asks every day if there is any mail for him, so I am looking forward to getting our first one! I’ve been trying to get M to draw something for S so I can send it. He doesn’t get why he has to draw something for a kid he doesn’t know. He draws stuff and gives it to his friends at school all the time and is bummed that no one draws him back. We got trtlcrzy’s letter from H this week so with that I explained it to him and went on IG to show him who she was and who S is. He was drawing last night so I plan to see if he wants to send one of those to S before we leave Friday. ETA: I just saw your other post and M is the same with regards to not knowing what was going on before he got his first letter. |

We have a big map in on the wall in the kitchen that we use to show S where daddy is when he travels. We have pins in it for places MH goes and places we have been as a family, as well as places we want to go. I keep offering to show him where on the map his new penpal will be but for some reason it just doesn't resonate with him. I do feel that when he gets a letter it will all click and he'll be into it. Like lahdeedah, he and his friends are always drawing pics for each other at school. |

jewels Yep. I even told him his letter/drawing would go to New Jersey and he was still like what? He and MH have this thing where they say major city’s like an announcer. So I was you know, like NEW YORRK! And he was still like 😐. 😂

klong11 I told C we will be writing to your C next. I told him she had five cats. He said he already knew that. 🤷♀️ we will probably work on it this weekend.

B got his first letter from C on Friday! i snapped klong11 a video of him, he was so excited and I didnt even get my coat off before we HAD to open it. Because of the way I printed out the sheet for him to have the names to send to he started at the top, so E ( mwhip) is getting a card in addition to our scheduled M ( peachsmama), they went in the mail yesterday! I love sitting down and writing the cards; I give an overview of the childs likes, the family, pets etc and show pics from SC or here. Every time I'm blown away how well I 'know' the kids since we've been together for so long, warms my heart. |

Are y’all writing the letters for the kids or having them do it? I’m having Josie do it. She likes to write and draw but for some reason (bc isn’t this how life is?) when I ask her to do this, she’s super excited and then is ridiculously messy with it. |

I had M write the first letter. Now she’s being a punk and says “they’re your friends so you write the letter.”
Oh.
She loves drawing the pictures though.

I asked her what she wanted to say and wrote it down. Then she wrote it on the card herself by copying what I wrote.

I let C do whatever. He still hasn't done C's klong11 but he likes to talk about doing it. Hopefully this weekend. |

Cadence brought out J's letter from guster and insisted it was time to play the "letter game". I told her we could do a bunch tomorrow and mail them out on Monday. |
