One Penpal or Random Letters

What do you an your N13 prefer, if you want to participate?

I love the idea of random letters because I think it would be cool for the kids to get different things from different kids around the country.

I forgot to go to the private board the weekend we talked about this.

I like the idea of random letters. Maybe we can just go down the list of everyone participating. Like the first letter goes to the person directly below your posted address, and then go down the list for the following weeks/ month. The last person would do the first person who posted.

Are we doing weekly, biweekly, monthly?

I'm cool with weekly, but that may be a lot for some.  I plan on going to Dollar General and stocking up on generic kids cards so I have them on hand!

I told Cadence about it. She remembers all the Christmas cards we got this year, so she is super excited to start getting letters from all of her November friends.

I was thinking I could put everyone's names/address in a spreadsheet, then email that to those who participate so they know where we are in sending? I'd enter them as to the order entered in the private thread, then you could check off when you send a letter and know the next one to move to?

Also, if people are uncomfortable with their address being there, they could remove it.

I agree with lahdeedah's suggestion about 1 specific person each week.

I think the spreadsheet would be helpful. I'm adding my info to the private board now. I think S would like this. Be prepared for tons of Star Wars pictures

Just PM me your email, although I think I have yours anyway.  Addresses have all been entered into a spreadsheet up to yours, so I can send that out to everyone to keep track, when we think everyone is on it.  I don't want to leave anyone out that wants to participate.

Yeah, I’m not sure if I can keep up weekly, but twice a month should be doable.

I'm a bit too lazy for weekly. I'd set myself up for success more with biweekly.

So I think bi-weekly, start by sending to the name under yours, every other week, move to the next name, until the end of time. :-)

I sent our letter Monday...Evie was so excited.  But we can always add people.  

If you sent me your email, let me know if you didn't receive the spreadsheet yet.  I sent some from my phone over the weekend and they don't show up in my sent folder.

Should we update here? C loved his card from Evie mwhip! He said “she’s a girl who likes Hot Wheels?!” And “how does she know my name?” It was very cute.

He also loved making his note to Josie guster. It will go in the mail tomorrow. He wanted to send her a toy but I convinced him to draw it instead.
