We're coming out of a funky season of growing pains. He's getting back to his pleasant little self (with a new not so great snarky edge), and life is calming down again. I'm having a bit of a hard time keeping him going on school since the weather is nicer and he's gotten really into Minecraft as well.
I'm rough right now. I've never had seasonal allergies, but VA is trying to kill me. I finally went to the doctor thinking I had viral pneumonia, but nope. Allergies. Ironically, I'd been taking the kids to the park more often to burn off energy on the days I didn't feel well, so I was making myself worse. So I'm now the owner of five new prescriptions, including one inhaler, and figuring out how to live the asthma life. So that's fun. Otherwise, things are good. I bought a bunch of new plants today and sent a picture to my mom. She sent me back a sweet message about how glad she was because if I'm potting plants it means I'm happy.
QOTW: We gave up spring soccer for swimming lessons and a late spring trip back home, so he's really into making plans for spending a long chunk of time in the Midwest and maybe joining the swim team at some point.

enchanted we get into the roommate routine sometimes as well, and we're coming out of a period of it too. I'm glad you're getting into such a good space right now!

hawkward What the fuck grows in Virginia? I never had allergies in my life until we moved there. We moved to where we are now and my allergies went away. Mine were never as severe as yours sound, though. Claritin was usually enough to keep it managed. Ironically, my husband, who is allergic to everything under the damn sun and has asthma, was actually better in Virginia than our home state or where we live now. THIS IS EXACTLY US. I have never had allergies. At all, ever, anywhere we've lived. H always has severe seasonal allergies, and the boys live off Zyrtec in the spring. All of them? Absolutely fine. The doctor I saw grew up about an hour from my hometown, and he diagnosed me before seeing my bloodwork. I kept arguing, and he was like, "we'll see..." and sure enough, my eosinophils were through the roof and everything else was fine. He said it's common for Midwesterner transplants.
