Age: 4
Milestones:
Challenges: behavioral, we are making slow progress
Funny/cute stories:
How are you? 20 lbs down, many more to go. I am feeling in control and try not to beat myself up too much when I miss a workout (last night) or want to eat a piece or 3 of birthday cake. These past 5 pounds have been so slow to come off.
Anything else? So happy it is spring.
QOTW: What are you most looking forward to about spring? (You can't say warmer temperatures; that's cheating.) I’m kind of looking to do a small garden this year. So getting all prepped for that. Thinking herbs and a veggie.

Age: 9 months
Milestones: Standing on everything. He's crawling forward now too
Challenges: Trying to get him on a good sleep schedule. He wants to sleep all the time during the day, and then is up all night. Partly my fault, but I'm not sure how to fix it now
Funny/cute stories: He's started saying "Da-Da" a lot now. It's really cute when H picks him up and he says it, and to see the smile on H's face
How are you? Very very tired, and sore. I started back to work this week and I definitely forgot how physical my work is.
Anything else?
QOTW: What are you most looking forward to about spring? (You can't say warmer temperatures; that's cheating.) Planting stuff. We unfortunately moved where we don't have a yard, BUT my best friends house is like 2 blocks away, and she's agreed to let me have a big garden in her backyard as long as I tend it. And then we'll both reap the harvest =)

Age: 4
Milestones: He just had another big leap in expression, and he just overall looks more like a big kid. It's been so sudden H and I keep staring at him and wondering where our baby went.
Challenges: You know when PTing is rough and we say "don't worry, no one goes to college in diapers?" MY CHILD MAY PROVE US ALL WRONG. The pediatrician said revisit PTing in four months. He will be 4.5 then and I AM NOT OKAY. Deep breaths.
Funny/cute stories: He has made friends with an older gentleman at the YMCA while his brother is in HS PE. This man is an author, and he and DS2 tell each other stories. It is the funniest little relationship. DS2 even told him about "Sticky Pickle" (DS2's stuffed dog) and the man asked my permission to use that in one of his novelas. It started because DS2 thinks the opening line of "Burn the House Down" by AJR is "Oh you sticky pickle" instead of "I used to keep it cool." He thought it was so funny he named his favorite toy that.
How are you? I'm rough right now. I've never had seasonal allergies, but VA is trying to kill me. I finally went to the doctor thinking I had viral pneumonia, but nope. Allergies. Ironically, I'd been taking the kids to the park more often to burn off energy on the days I didn't feel well, so I was making myself worse. So I'm now the owner of five new prescriptions, including one inhaler, and figuring out how to live the asthma life. So that's fun. Otherwise, things are good. I bought a bunch of new plants today and sent a picture to my mom. She sent me back a sweet message about how glad she was because if I'm potting plants it means I'm happy.
QOTW: More beach time! We still go now, but it's a pain because our favorite beach requires a hike, and right now we have to bring warm enough clothes for the cold wind plus dry things to change into because the kids inevitably don't listen and go into the water above their wading boots. I can't wait until we only have to carry our buckets!
