How old is your LO?
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going?
0-3 mo Getting through growth spurts okay?
4-8 mo How do nights look?
If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going?
9-12mo Do you have a BF goal and has it changed since LO was a newborn?
Questions/AW?

How old is your LO? 9 months
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing on demand when home. Pumping at work and DH is giving pumped milk and formula
If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? I'm trying to figure out what our schedule is going to be like. I leave the house between 6:30 and 6:45, and F nurses first thing when we wake up. He'll also probably eat breakfast with me. Would 5:30 be too late?
9-12mo Do you have a BF goal and has it changed since LO was a newborn? Nope, not really. Just nurse until he doesn't want to anymore.
Questions/AW? See above
GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? What’s something you love about parenthood? I miss being able to just go whenever I wanted. Like we used to go to breakfast at the casino quite a bit. Obviously that's off the table now for, uh, quite a while. I LOVE waking up to sweet smiles, and getting kisses and hugs.

How old is your LO? - 9mo
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? - nursing, great
9-12mo Do you have a BF goal and has it changed since LO was a newborn? - self weaning, no
Questions/AW? - I can’t believe I’m already in the 9-12mo section of this check in! I swear I still have a newborn! LO’s distractability isn’t nearly as bad lately, which is such a relief.
GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? - long periods of time to do what I want to do uninterrupted What’s something you love about parenthood? - getting to know my little people & seeing how much they change in such a short period of time. Early childhood is incredible. And incredibly draining as a parent, much of the time. But incredible nonetheless.

Speedy too late for what? Waking up or last nursing session before you leave? Waking up lol. Definitely a FTM worry, but I'm not sure if I'll have time to nurse, make breakfast (eggs and toast most mornings), and get myself ready in that time. And if that's a big enough gap between nursing and breakfast.

How old is your LO? 8.5 months
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing on demand at home, pumping at work
4-8 mo How do nights look? Awful. DS3 is generally waking up 3x a night, sometimes more. I am so exhausted. He's cutting 2 teeth and just started crawling, so that could be explanation enough, but I'm still worried he has an ear infection or something else going on.
If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? I'm still pumping 3x a day, but I'm stressed because I'm consistently getting several ounces less than I need for daycare (I generally send 12 oz). I know my supply dropped a little around this time with my previous 2, but I had a lot more of a freezer stash with both of them. I'm not sure what to do. He gets solids 2x a day at daycare as well. Should I try to pump 1x a day on weekends or something to get more of a cushion in the freezer (ugh)? Or should I send the approx 10 ounces I do pump and just have them give 2, 5oz bottles instead of 3, 4 oz bottles? Any advice?
GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? What’s something you love about parenthood? i miss going out alone with DH! we get date night like once a year. i like seeing the kids help each other and do sweet things for each other.

How old is your LO? 7.5 months Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing at home, pumping at work 4-8 mo How do nights look? I'm not going to talk about it for fear that vvvvvfee may hunt me down. Not that he doesn't have his nights, but they're rare and usually with cause. If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? It's overwhelming all the time, but we're all surviving. I'm struggling with the fact that I need to maintain an oversupply (which I do not naturally have) to pump enough milk, so I have to pump once or twice a day on days off so that I have enough on Monday. I'm filling up my freezer, at least... Frustrating when we took a 3 day weekend (without the pump) that I struggle on Monday. GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? What’s something you love about parenthood? Going out and about without it being a hassle. I feel like kids have made H more anti-social than he was before, too, so I don't have another person who is also itching to get out. On the other hand, there is so much LOVE in our house all the time: Between the kids, kids to us, etc. that it just fills up my heart.

vvvvvfee, I pump most evenings. I know that's not fun, but it works for me. If I pump more than 12 ounces at work, I don't have to pump at night (personal rule), so I'm taking the more freshly pumped milk the next day rather than freezer stash.

That's what I do. Throw parts in the fridge when I get home, and use them one last time after kiddos are in bed.

5 months today
Nursing at home and pumping at work
How do nights look? Nights are... not great but not horrible. Baby usually goes to bed for the night at 7:30/8 and I go to bed between 10 and 11. H's usually up 2-3 times and eats each time and usually goes right back to sleep. Baby's been sleeping mostly in the rock n play since he's been congested this week and doesn't sleep long in the crib. Or he sleeps next to me in the bed.
If you’ve returned to work, how is that transition going? I've been back to work for 2 months now and it's going pretty well. I'm lucky that pumping and milk supply isn't an issue for me. I actually produce a few extra oz a day more than he eats, so I just got approved to donate to the milk bank in my region.
GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? What’s something you love about parenthood? I miss peeing by myself (without a three year old wailing outside the door). I love the baby laughs, and nursing, and how much my 3 year old adores her baby brother.

How old is your LO? 11 months (I thought I would get one last check in here before he turns 1 next week 😩)
Are you nursing, pumping, supplementing? How’s it going? Nursing. Still going strong. We had a bout of RSV and an ear inflection last week that we’re just getting over. There were some rough nursing sessions but I think we’re good now.
9-12mo Do you have a BF goal and has it changed since LO was a newborn? I breastfed my older son for 2 years and I plan to do the same with this one. Unless he has other plans and wants to stop earlier. We will see.
Questions/AW? That first year went by so fast! I know that’s pretty common to say, but my goodness is it true.
GTKY: what’s something you miss about life before kids? What’s something you love about parenthood? (This is something completely based on an experience today) being able to eat at a restaurant in peace. You know, without a baby grabbing at your food or sticking their fingers in your dressing. But I love listening to my 3 year old’s stories. He’s so funny. And the baby giggles!

So as an update, F tends to nuzzle in for a feeding at about 5 AM, so I doze until 5 30 while he's nursing, which leaves plenty of time to do everything else 😊 Also, I feel like my breasts are "remembering" how to respond to the pump (I haven't pumped much since I've just been at home). I managed to get 7 oz today, which is the most I've got since I've been back.
