What a shitty thing for a doctor to say. I get that we will always worry about our kids. That's obviously not the same thing. I bet he would not have said that to a man asking about anxiety.

copperboom I've wondered the same but it seems like when I'm at the point of asking a doctor, I turn a corner and then I don't think about it for awhile. I did not accomplish... much yesterday at work. Today I have no one but myself to blame. I did take a bath with a bath bomb and a glass of wine last night after I put the kid to bed and it did wonders for my mood. I slept awesomely after that.

Yay for a darker line, tinydancer!! Sorry for no sleep copperboom and bitch away. That's what we are here for. But definitely have a talk with your doctor. How very unsympathetic dizzycooks. Sure there is worry with kids but actual anxiety isn't something to just be brushed off. Can you find someone else to talk to?

I stayed up way too late watching the final 2 episodes of OITNB. It was an intense season. Not sure how I feel about it.
Then I stayed up even later and watched videos of DD as a baby up through December. I knew it would happen but damn time went so fast and I don't remember a lot of that stuff. It was cute to see the little bits of her personality that are now coming out more. But so sad to know I'll never have a little baby again. 😪

scorpioscuba that made me tear up. Why are the babies turning into toddlers??! copperboom I haven't talked to anyone else bc honestly not working has generally curbed a lot of my stress. Funny how that works. Obviously I have days, but not like I use to where my head was just spinning and I'd spiral hard on my to do list. It definitely passed worrying about my kids. I didn't finish the pot of coffee I made yesterday. So I just heated it up for today instead of dumping it. The coffee is in a closed carafe that isn't opened after brewing. But it still tastes gross. So annoying.

After yesterday and today, I'm kind of dreading September when I have to get S to school in the mornings. But on the other hand, I might be more productive lol. I've got a load of laundry going, S has had breakfast, we're both dressed, and I started packing his lunch before I remembered that he doesn't need it. When M and I get home from dropping him off, I'll switch the laundry and feed her breakfast.
We're leaving Friday Morning, as soon as we get the van packed up to go camping. I wanted to leave Thursday, but H didn't think S would want to miss the last day of school, and doesn't want to get to the campground too late, so he doesn't want to leave after school.

I just bought 16 lbs of strawberries and I need at least 40 total. I freeze them for smoothies, waffles and yogurt all year and they are at their cheapest this week. I guess I know why I'm doing the rest of the week. I am starting to think more about our vacation and I am starting to FREAK OUT about having things prepared for my munchkins when I go. Time to make some lists... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Http://notjustnovels.wordpress.com

Landed in Denver. K did ok on the flight and the rental car pick up with car seat worked out fine. Knocking off stressors left and right. We are having lunch at McDonald's and letting the girls run some energy out before we drive to our destination. Hopefully K naps in the way. I'm finally getting excited.

I took DD to Gymboree, out for pizza and to Whole Foods. She's napping in my bed now and I will try to nap with her. It was a great morning together before I leave on my first trip without her since she was born. The first time is always the hardest! I know some of you have already done it. And I did it with DS when he was a toddler. But damnit I'm not ready!! 😪

Game night for H. I am doing lots of laundry today. I've washed 4 loads, dried 3, and folded 1. It's hard to fold with M around, she likes to "help. Which means she grabs freshly folded clothes and tries to put them on 😂 she's obsessed with clothes, shoes, and purses.
S came home from track and field day at school miserable. He didn't get to participate in the last couple of races (if I understand him correctly there were other events that other kids didn't participate in that he did), so he was upset. I wish I knew how to make it so little things like that don't ruin his whole day. It happens a lot. Something small doesn't go his way, and that's it, it's the worst day ever. Doesn't matter if 5 minutes ago it was the best, now it's completely ruined and nothing can fix it.

lollipop - I think it's common at that age, but must be hard to not be able to fix it! Our friends were recently on vacation and spent the day with their 4-year-old son at a carnival having an awesome time and riding rides. On the way back to their hotel they stopped at McDonald's and got him a happy meal. The toy was one he already had and he immediately was like THIS IS THE WORST DAY EVER and was so bummed. They thought it was pretty funny, but yeah... hard to deal with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

nellieoleson it's a little funny, but so frustrating. Especially when it's almost every day.

GUISE!!!! I really need the unnecessary drama in my life to just stop. H and DS got to the airport super early in Seattle and proceeded to sit at the WRONG FUCKING GATE and missed their flight. 😡 H said an airline gate agent told him the gate changed. I doubt he checked the screen at the gate he was sitting at for over an hour. They didn't get on the next flight because they were to far down on the standby list. So now they are booked on a 5am flight tomorrow morning. My mom is staying the night with DD. I'm SOOOO incredibly grateful to her right now. I'm at the airport now waiting for my flight. I still cannot believe this is happening. I know it's not the end of the world. But really!?!?

How is that even possible?? copperboom - enjoy vacation! lollipop - sorry your little guy is so bummed out nellieoleson - how do you like your new house so far?? OMG scorpioscuba I would be so annoyed. I'm annoyed at myself at the moment. I seriously considered breaking my rules about coffee this morning, but decided not to in case it screwed with my sleep. And then I realized, about 20 minutes ago, that it wouldn't have mattered. I could have coffee right now if I had any in the house, because H doesn't work tomorrow. So I can take a sleeping pill. Blah.

theoprah - new house is great, but still a work in progress. We were go go go on moving, unpacking, etc etc for a while.... and now we are kind of in a half unpacked holding pattern. My H has been working a TON the last 2 weeks, so it's hard getting anything done when I'm home by myself with the girls, and we've all been sick with colds so that isn't helping things either. Mostly I feel like I burnt myself out and I have no motivation right now. The kitchen and bathrooms are pretty much dialed in, so the important stuff is good to go at least. The dds handled the transition like champs, so that was a relief. How are your kiddos liking the new home? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

scorpioscuba, WTF to YH? We all make mistakes but come on. Also hugs about the first trip away. It's hard, especially at this age when I'm not sure they understand when we'll be back. I hope you can enjoy some time to yourself at least. nellieoleson, good luck with the unpacking. We've been here since September and still have a few boxes that aren't unpacked. And it looks like we'll be moving again in a year, so why even bother. theoprah, pinktartan, EDD is 2/27/18 by LMP, first appt is 7/24. Seems so far away. It's my first time with this practice, hopefully I like them.

Allergic reaction has negated my desire for a sleeping pill. Pretty sure I shouldn't mix those with benadryl.

tinydancer - eeeeeeeee!!! I'm so excited for you! I hope you live close to your hospital. One foyer baby is enough for you. scorpioscuba - +1 that WTF to your H. I can totally picture mine doing that as well, and I'd probably break my optic nerve with the eye roll I'd be giving him as he tried to explain it to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tinydancer - now that I'm thinking about it... when the ambulance came to take you and your ds to the hospital, did her have to ride in a car seat?? Or did they let you hold him while you were on the gurney? I'm trying o imagine the logistics here... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
