I'm just utterly disgusted that the POTUS is treating this job like it's a god damn episode of Jerry Springer. The longer this buffoon sits in the oval office, the worse we're fucked. When is enough enough for Republicans? Apparently never. And that's terrifying. Lol.

If I suddenly got to choose who was POTUS and VP, it would be Harris and Yates.

I'm so sorry athn64, I hope your baby is better soon. It is absolutely appalling that instead of just worrying about your child, you also have to stress about paying for your hospital bills. ((HUGS))

Hugs athn64. It's so wrong that whether your insurance will cover things is even something you have to think about.

So is the NE trolling trump right now? Trolling Mica and Joe? Trump came for them, they fought back, and Trump told the NE to roll out the story. And for real, Who GAF? Who cares if she had a face lift? Who cares if they had a cheating issue? NOT MY GD BUSINESS Also who cares if National Fucking Enquirer is running a story about you. You'll share the cover with Jesus' face on toast and an Elvis-Ghost-Alien love triangle.

www.yahoo.com/news/bill-create-panel-remove-trump-office-quietly-picks-democratic-support-124521145.html?soc_trk=gcm&soc_src=60f73942-c8f9-11e5-bc86-fa163e798f6a&.tsrc=notification-brknews"For months, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders have privately counseled their more militant members to forswear talk of impeaching President Trump, telling them the political support for such a step simply doesn’t exist in the GOP-controlled Congress. But 21 House Democrats, including the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, are now pushing an equally radical alternative: They are backing a bill that would create a congressional “oversight” commission that could declare the president incapacitated, leading to his removal from office under the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. [...] The 25th Amendment was adopted in 1967 in response to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and past presidential medical crises — including the heart attacks of Dwight Eisenhower and the illnesses of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson — to deal with instances where presidents become incapacitated and unable to perform the duties of their office. One of its provisions, known as Section 4, empowers the vice president along with a majority of the Cabinet to make a determination that a president is “unable to discharge the powers and duties” of the office, and then provide it in writing to Congress, resulting in the president’s removal. It’s a step that has never been taken. But [Rep. Jamie] Raskin, a former constitutional law professor, has seized on some largely overlooked language in Section 4 as the basis for his bill. It turns out it doesn’t only have to be the Cabinet that makes a finding of presidential incapacity. The section also permits “such other body as Congress may by law provide” — along with the vice president — to reach the same conclusion."

Happy Anniversary, dc2london! So sorry about your baby being in the hospital, athn64. I cannot imagine the stress, then adding the end of a coverage year/deductible on top of it. Oof. So many hugs your way.

Fox News viewers don't think Repeal and Shrug is a bad idea bc all they know is "Obamacare BAD." They have no idea how repealing it will affect them, bc their news sources don't talk about it. And Trump and Spicer are out there tweeting blatantly false info about Medicaid expansion. Same with the Muslim ban countdown--all they know is that every day some refugee is out there BEING MUSLIM in their general vicinity and it's putting their status as Majority in jeopardy. I cringe whenI think of all the people seeing that clock tick down thinking when it hits zero they will be "safe". No, the people who would do you harm are ALREADY HERE! The people who would do you harm YOU VOTED INTO OFFICE.

If they are really worried about fertility rates falling maybe they should make sure that insurance companies cover fucking infertility treatments. Our insurance covered nothing of our IVF cycle (which came to about $14,000) so there's no way it would be possible for us to try again if we wanted to. And honestly I would love to have another baby, but our Dr's office pushed us into transferring 2 embryos which put my pregnancy as high risk because they both stuck. Then I ended up having HG and HELLP syndrome, and I'm too afraid of having either or both of those again to even risk another pregnancy. IMHO, if our insurance had covered our IVF cycle we would have only transferred one embryo because we were already leaning towards that. But because it didn't and because we were afraid that one wouldn't take we went with 2 and then got some of the complications that go with twins.

I just read this and thought the same thing. But I think the key is that millenials say in surveys they still expect to have kids in the future, and it is difficult to measure whether this is just the result of delaying having children. In DC we are experiencing a huge baby boom right now among middle class 30-somethings, for example.

I was lucky that my insurance covered my meds (minus the copay) because that would have been 8k. We still paid oop for our cycle, which was 13k. We also transferred two embryos for the fear of having to go through everything again. When we go back, we're likely going to transfer two again (of our 3 frozen) because of the cost. We know we could have twins again (and another high risk pregnancy), but insurance doesn't cover transfers. And I have really good insurance.
