I read this as "MH wanted to do the D.D. lift" and I was thinking, wow, this is impressive.

Our friends left around 7:30...that is the beauty of entertaining when everyone has young kids, we start early and finish early so I still have time to myself on the couch

Everyone seemed to like the jambalaya and although I couldn't find a king cake (I thought about driving an hour for Publix but decided that was overkill), our dessert of brownies and sea salt caramel gelato was well-received. And now my house is clean and I have fresh flowers (and leftover brownies) so all in all it was a success.

Omg. I stayed and talked to the babysitter for a long time today when I picked up S. So was running later than usual. So I went to send MH a text (blaming her for being too talkative) and accidentally sent it to her instead! 🤦🏼‍♀️. Luckily she’s super sweet and didn’t seem to take offense. But I feel like an ass!

Wow cagoldi. So glad your mom is going to be able to help! Managing a child with special medical/therapy needs is challenging. It’s great that you have such a great support system in your family.

lfig lol! You handled it well! Once in college I went to Vegas with my roommate and some friends. My roomie was being a total bitch so I sent my bf a text saying that... except i accidentally sent it to her as she was sitting across from me in the restaurant! Oops!!

N just lost tooth number 2! She’s so excited, it’s adorable.

We had friends over for dinner. Same friends I’ve mentioned before that I’m pretty meh about lately.. their 3yo tipped a dining chair over and completely busted it. Luckily I’ve been wanting a new dining set.. and it is a cheap old dining set from just after college so it’s seen it’s days.

I’m feeling stressed, but also relieved that we have a firm idea of how things are going to be moving forward. And of course, very grateful my mom is willing and able to be my extra set of hands. The kids love her, she’s great with them, and she always defers to me. I completely understand that last part. It would be hard for me to agree to SAH and not work. Not working makes me feel some type of way that is hard to put into words. It’s just me though and I think it’s great for those who like SAH.

lfig I always go back to make sure I texted the right person. It really is a legit fear. Seems like you handled it as best as you could. Hope it’s not awkward next time you see her.

flamingo glad the get together went well. I had a Publix king cake last week. Pretty good. I love that you do your own Mardi Gras theme dinner every year.

Made it there and back in record time. I’m exhausted. The inspection went good. Just minor fixes that they should be compliant about. It was weird to be in the house after looking and analyzing the pics a million times since last week, but I do love it. I need to start writing down all my ideas in my head. I will probably have lots of questions about stuff for you girls at some point.

Now that Mh is home for the next week, I should have a chance to post pics sometime this weekend.

cagoldi sounds like you have a solid plan. And it's normal to be conflicted about SAHM

wedding I would keep the next appt with her but have your next appt with someone else already scheduled. There are at least 2 red flags 1) she isn't on call 24/7 you have left messages and expected calls during working hours and I'm sure she has some obligation to respond to individuals having issues with psychoactive medications. 2) not listening to your previous issues with a medication
