Finally Friday

This has been a very long week for some reason. I am leaving at 3 today though so that will be nice. My parents are picking up C from school today and having a sleepover at their house with his cousins. C is so excited and I am thrilled to have a night and morning off. DH and I are going to hit up a local restaurant tonight but other than that my only plans are sleeping in.

I’m in here bc I wanted to share mh’s latest on his battle w Lyme. He finally agreed to see a specialist and they are going to try a more aggressive course of abx. He’s having a picc line inserted this AM and will have it for the next 4 weeks. I am hopeful for him that this will eradicate it for good and he will finally be symptom free. But I am also nervous for his procedure! 😬 it sounds very uncomfortable.

I need to pay bills while at work, hopefully go to the gym, we have safety early out today, which means I'll probably split about 3:30, then hit up the grocery store. We are supposed to get rain all day tomorrow, plus we are getting our taxes done, so I'd rather just have groceries done. Tonight I'm going to one of my friends house for drinks with her and 2 other friends. Oh and I need to send an email declining that other job. Which is weird, because there hasn't been a formal job offer, but giving up 20 days of PTO for none is not going to work.

Hi!! I need to catch up from yesterday. The last few days have been off for me.

Anyway, I found out I didn’t get the job. They went with someone who had more of a security/police/military background. They said I interviewed great it just wasn’t the most qualified candidate. However, he said another position may open up soon and he hopes I apply for that. I’m bummed but okay.

Also I got one of my managers to agree to sit down and right my job description. I will hopefully have a sit down with HR to get a job title and pay scale.

Also my old bosses are talking with their new boss about a possible temp assignment as a manager with them for some projects they want help on.

That was a lot. Sorry.

Morning. I finally heard back from my doctor’s office late yesterday afternoon. I am scheduled next thurs for a special ultrasound that checks to make sure there are no polyps or anything in my uterus causing issues with implantation. Today will be just like a regular day. I need to run a couple of errands while H is at school. It’s supposed to get up to 32(!!) today so we will be spending time outside this afternoon. Hopefully some of the snow melts before we get more overnight tonight. Sick of it.

@yunmeecookee hope this doesn't the trick for your h. Lyme is the worst. I've heard of some antidote that the naturopath scene is into for Lynne now (my dad goes that route for his Lyme), such a crappy disease. They really need a vaccine since it is so common and hard to diagnose.

Morning. Tgif. We have a big system upgrade tomorrow so I need to wrap up a bunch of testing. I found the high chair/booster I want for N on FB marketplace bc I am over her current booster..it's an hour away and mh is like that's ridiculous..um it's $200 cheaper than new, so that is worth my time on a weekend when we don't have plans. I'm trying to figure out when to go that won't bug him too much.

It was costume day at school..my kids don't do dress up at home so we didn't participate. I almost feel bad about it.

Hi guys!!! I had so much (too much?) fun in Vegas last weekend, but it’s pretty much taken me the entire week to recover, lol. Have I missed anything big?

Are you guys ready for this terrifying story? So yesterday morning at around 6:30 I was laying in bed about to get up and my phone rings. It my bbf who lives down the street from us letting me know Lucas was at her house! He SLEPTWALKED there! He must have been dreaming or something that he was suppose to go to their house for school (Landon carpools with them a lot) and he got up, grabbed his backpack and my laptop (?)and walked out the front door and over to their house. It’s only about a 30 second walk, but he did have to cross a small neighborhood street. We knew he “sleep wandered” sometimes, like would get up at night and move to the couch downstairs and not remember why, but I would have never even thought about him leaving the house. Needless to say we are alarm shopping now.
