So we put in an offer on a house last night- full asking price without any contingencies (except for home inspection which is standard) and we got rejected! There were 3 other offers and the house had been on the market for less than 48 hours. This is crazy! that sucks. I'm sorry. When we were looking we found the perfect house that had been on the market for a year. We put in a fair offer and that night someone bought it with cash 😑 so frustrating. I hope you find something you love soon

So I just got the following text from my MIL: "What day shall I BBQ? Let me know by tomorrow morning plz." I am irrationally annoyed by it. I think it's the way she worded it almost as a command not a question "would you like to come for a bbq". Plus it doesn't help that neither MH or I like her cooking and I have no desire to eat in front of her after her comment last weekend. that's annoying.

After my scan today I feel so much weight lifted off my shoulders. This was my loss milestone and I found out about the loss at my 20w scan. So it was a huge hurdle for me.
I'm feeling like I can prepare for this little one now and bond with him. It was like I exhaled for the first time this pregnancy leaving the office today.
I still have that lingering fear of "what if" but I'm definitely doing much better.

They apparently already have an offer, but haven't responded to it yet.

The Skittles thread in GD. Now I want skittles, but only with green apple. I also like to mix my skittles with plain M&Ms. in the same bowl. Eating them literally together. Was this a FFWC lol Okay, FFWC. Someone help.

I think I'm going to have to leave my local moms FB group. Today I found myself arguing with a woman who told someone it would destroy her breast milk if she used a bottle warmer. My eyes couldn't roll any harder. Suddenly, when I presented her with facts to support the opposite she became an expert maternal RN with extensive breastfeeding training and got her information directly from the world's best lactation consultants. Hokay lady. This is not uncommon. ::blink blink:: Good grief. Wonder what she would say about shaking it? Bet she thinks it will completely break it down and not just add unnecessary bubbles.

This heart burn has been kicking my ass the past 3 days.
I hate taking stuff while pregnant but I can't deal with this for next 18 weeks. I have it from when I wake up in the morning until I go to bed at night, luckily it's not as strong as it was with DS's pregnancy during the end but Jesus it doesn't have burn

But then it's a long weekend, Happy Canada Day I went for a hike last night that I've done tons of times, but not since pregnant, and it was a lot harder than I remember!! But, we did it My friend was getting over a cold, so she wasn't too quick anyway.

I had been taking twice daily Zantac plus a Prilosec before bed if I felt I needed it. Miraculously, the last couple days I have only needed one Zantac a day. I don't know what happened but it is magic.

Good morning, ladies! Today is a good day. AC and window installation are done, sans the sliding door frames the delivery guys cracked. I slept in an air conditioned room and it was the best ever. Now the landscapers are here doing our backyard overhaul. I am so excited. Most importantly, I have the day off and to myself. I have laundry going, veggies steaming for fruit and veggie muffins, and will put balsamic pork roast in the slow cooker for dinner in a bit. If the landscapers finish early, we will pick up DD and head to a cycling class at the gym. My fave fruit and veggie muffins for anyone interested: www.superhealthykids.com/power-packed-fruit-and-veggie-muffin-for-picky-eaters/I think I really needed a day off work to reset. I am in a good mood.

Oh I meant to give you guys feedback on the cold brew coffee pitcher I got. It worked really well! This is the one I got: smile.amazon.com/Vremi-Cold-Coffee-Maker-Infuser/dp/B01N4B4D2H/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1498839691&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=cold+brew+coffee+maker&psc=1The only thing I had a problem with was that I screwed it on too tight when I added the grounds, and when I went to take the grounds out, the top was really hard to get off. Mainly because it was made of glass and I didn't want to bang it on the counter. H opened it for me. But the taste is really smooth. I just made my own simple syrup with water and sugar, and added it to the whole pitcher to my liking. Now I am sipping on some with milk. Really good! I am not really counting my mg of caffeine, though...

We got into my in laws house around 2 am last night. DS was not staying in the bed they had set up so we put together the pack n play. Too many distractions. It's not even 80 degrees here but it's so hot in the sun. I'm downing tons of water and keeping myself sunblock ed up! DS has DH's skin so he doesn't burn frequently but I still covered him lol. I used aveeno lotion sunscreen and I love it. It goes on so nice and it has hydrating stuff in it so it doesn't dry you out. Anyway, it's a gorgeous day so I'll check in later hope everyone is having a great Friday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I really wish I liked coffee. I love the smell of it and the thought of it.
But it just tastes so bitter to me. For last Christmas I got H one of those posh coffee machines that can make loads of different things, he loves all the different coffees he can do with it and I always want to join in, he lets me play with the machine to make his coffee lol

At what point should cramping make you call the dr? I have been having consistent cramping for a week or two now. Usually in the evening while I am sitting or laying, sometimes during the day. It happens even when I am hydrated. They don't feel anything like Braxton Hicks, but they do feel like the early labor contractions that I felt before my c-section. They are very mild, not even to the really bad period cramp point. More like an annoying hurt, but nothing that is going to make me cry or anything. I have had no bleeding and since they aren't severe, I haven't called. But I didn't experience this with my last pregnancy so it is kind of bothering me.

librarylady, I'd call and at least talk to the nurse. They can tell you what to look out for. I've called for a lot less.

DS caused me to have significant cramping/contractions from 23 weeks on. I was checked into the hospital 3x for preterm labor between 23 weeks and 32 weeks. Never caused any changes to my cervix, usually just hooked me up to a bag of fluid and monitored me/him. He was born at 37w5d. He was VERY active and my body just didn't respond well. I totally assumed I was just experiencing severe BH. Now I get some cramping/BH contractions if I tense up quickly, have been on my feet a lot, am dehydrated, am tired or sitting in an awkward position, etc. I had pretty severe discomfort right before my a/s ... baby was sitting with his/her spine pressed directly against my anterior placenta, as soon as s/he moved, I felt relief. So there may be an element of baby's position. BUT when in doubt, call your nurse. Sooner rather than later, since it is a holiday weekend!

E is doing her first night in her new big girl room. I sat with her until she fell asleep, which I normally don't do. But she's asleep so far. Wish us luck!

you check Facebook for your states childcare connections. Typically it's called "child care providers of (your state)." People will post what they are willing to do or you can post an "ad"
