I called my apartments at 9a to put in a work order for my kitchen - they're closed now and no one came. So I have no use of my kitchen sink or dishwasher. And my whole apartment smells like the disgusting dishwater that is standing in the dishwasher. Ugh.

My house won't cool down. I'm able to get it down to 83°, but it's stuck there and not getting any cooler. I've lost any motivation to be productive today. We're on day 9 of 100°+ temps- today was 107°... it's kicking my butt.

amberlie, when DH and I moved into our first place together when we got married, almost every single appliance seemed to die! But luckily our landlords were really good about getting things replaced quickly. I guess everything just got to the age where it wore out all at the same time. I am not sure why I am telling you this, it is probably not reassuring. Sorry you are stuck with that. I hope they fix it early tomorrow!

Well, all of the appliances are brand new - maintenance was here installing them the day we got the keys. I think that's actually the problem here... the installation wasn't done properly for the dishwasher. So hopefully when it gets fixed, it won't be a pattern of problems.

The dishwasher has started leaking the nasty water all over the kitchen... I called the emergency maintenance line.

I felt like I was melting.

I would've called that line as soon as they closed. And I'd keep calling until they came. But I'm a bitch like that. You should not be without a kitchen sink for that long and a dw full of standing water.

He said he'll ask management if he can call a plumber but probably not. I'm not sure how he knows he doesn't have anything to fix it with when no one has even been hearing to look at it and determine what's wrong...

M had his first visit at the daycare this morning. He was pretty shy at first, they were having snack, but outside he was loving exploring! They have an incredible playground and he LOVES being outside. We go for another visit tomorrow. I know he will love it, but part of me has the sads about it. I spoke with the supervisor and told her that my worry is just that he be surrounded by people who just love him as much as we do. I know it's a great program, and they know my connection to our early learning community, so I do hope that they just love him.

Haven't been able to play today. Ended up having 2 mom friends over tonight with their kids (all about w's age) one brought alcohol and stayed toll almost 930 because her kid goes to sleep super late. He played and we drank and h put w to sleep around 8. It's so weird having people over. The house has been /still is a construction zone in so many parts but we now have large rooms that are clean and safe. It was way more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

CestLaVie, I typed out a super awesome response to the 2-3 question, but it looks like the internet ate it. Essentially, I just put out fires all day. Someone is always crying/fighting. But, it has made me more efficient and more of a drill sergeant. Things are nuts but I somehow start the day with three and end with three.
