For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated. 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? 4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? GTKY: What are you reading right now? (Or, what was the last book you read and enjoyed?)

1. How old is your LO? 21m 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? A million 3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? I’d love her to STTN lol 4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? Yes, I was and yes! It’s something I just knew I was going to do. I didn’t really even know there was a choice until I got pregnant. My mom was a great support for those early days.
Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Some pain and I’m sure my supply is dropping now that I’m nearing the 2nd tri.
GTKY: What are you reading right now? (Or, what was the last book you read and enjoyed?) reading Goldenhand (Old Kingdom series)...I’m really enjoying these books. Very into the supernatural stuff.

I guess I go here now
1. How old is your LO? 13 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3-4 most days 3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? Not really. it annoys me he only nurses off right so I am really lopsided but not really a challenge since I gave up on it 4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? Yes I was. My parents are too much on the lactivist side IMO. My dad commented that my kid was lucky not to get that nasty formula so I probably would have felt bad if I had needed to FF or supplement and then I would have been pissed that I felt that way. Luckily I really did have a fairly easy time with both kids (and we are 100% 2 and through)
GTKY: What are you reading right now? The last book I read was Dietland. It was thought provoking for me on the diet industry/culture)

1. 3.25 yo 2. 2x and I've told her no more than that anymore 3. I'm struggling with how hard to push weaning and how much longer I am comfortable going. I told her no more milky before weekend naps, and she said ok, but she's not napping as much on weekends anymore so it's natural. I hate to say it, but she is like 25% for height and weight (and tiny compared to DD1 at the same age who is more 75%) and I think her small size is making me ok with continuing longer. 4. I was and yes, I think it did influence it in the sense it was normal for my family. My mom started BFing my older sister and it went very poorly so she had to bottle feed. She nursed me to 2. My younger sister she nursed to close to 1. DH is an only and bottle fed.
GTKY: I'm about half way through Rhys Bowen's latest, The Victory Garden. I like almost everything she writes.

1. How old is your LO? -18mo this week!!
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? -2-3x
3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? -He has a cold, so he's latching teeth first. But I know that will pass.
4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? -I was to about 6mo, and yes, but in a weird way. When we had the tongue tie/nipple shield issues, my mom was very "If it's not working, just use formula! You had it and you're fine." I knew he would have been ok, but I also wanted to prove to her I didn't need it. I'm stubborn AF.
GTKY: What are you reading right now? -I just finished Paris for One and Other Stories by Jojo Moyes. It was part of a Valentine's sub box from my library. I had't read short stories in a long time, so it was a fun change.

Hi! May I come join? Ive had a miserable keeping up over here with work!
1. How old is your LO? 18 months on Saturday
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? Weekdays 2-3, weekends all.the.time.
3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? Just how to stop LO from Ripping my shirt off when she has to wait 30 seconds 🤦♀️
4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? For a hot second, and no. That said my MIL is an obsessive lactivist and shockingly didn’t cause me to stop in spite.
GTKY: What are you reading right now? (Or, what was the last book you read and enjoyed?) Between work and wanting to spend any available time with LO, I honestly don’t recall the last non- baby book I read that I enjoyed!

1. How old is your LO? Almost 17 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3-4 times 3. Are you dealing with any BFing challenges right now? Surprisingly no lol. He's teething so super grumpy but it hasn't interfered with nursing. 4. Were you BF as a baby? Did your mom's BFing/FFing you have an effect on your decision to BF? I was breastfed until I was 6 weeks old. She wasn't able to keep up pumping once she went back to work. It didn't really impact my decision. She guilted me so much when I couldn't make it work with my older son so 🤷 I never take breastfeeding advice from her lol.
GTKY: What are you reading right now? (Or, what was the last book you read and enjoyed?) I really liked the crazy rich Asians series. It was pretty light and fluffy. I needed some light reading.
