Which CD training pants did you use/like? I bought a bunch of different ones used on ebay because I didn't want to invest in something that she may only use for a few days if she got on really quick. Her bff is only one day younger and potty trained herself by 20ish months, so I had hope (*hysterical laugher*). The brand I like the best was EcoAble 3in1 training pants. ecoable.net/3-in-1-hybrid-cloth-diaper-potty-trainer-and-swim-diaper/ They are fantastic for early potty training and they were daycare approved. They have a pocket so I could stuff them with enough inserts to hold a full pee and could be used for naps. They have stretchy sides so DD could pull them up/down with minimal help. They have side snaps so if your kids poops you aren't dragging poop all down their legs. They also have rise snaps so you could potentially put them on a baby, but they were important for fitting my chicken leg, skinny waisted, small child. I do not recommend them for later potty training when they need to know wet is bad because they fit so much like a CD that there was really no difference to DD if she peed/pooped in them vs a regular CD. They are the best for getting your kid acclimated to sitting on the potty and when they bring them every hour or so at DC. Once they start going on their own though, I'd switch to the other training pants i mentioned above. However those don't hold a full pee so they aren't good for naptime and if your kid poops in them, well... god speed. Interesting - so are they basically the same as regular cloth diapers but with more elastic in the back so it can be stretched and pulled down? I saw something online about using elastic snaps on regular cloth diapers and wondered if that might work similarly. Or can't I just sew some inserts/fleece/whatever onto regular underwear? I'm cheap and so do not want to buy any more diapers. ETA: That is a really cool product though and I love that they are designed to be so versatile and long lasting.

They have elastic both in the front and sides/back to make them stretchy to be able to pull them on/off. You could probably try those snaps. I just looked and I must have lucked out when I bought them. I got them from their official ebay account and they must have been selling returns or something. I got mine for like $3 each at the time. I think sewing inserts directly onto the underwear wouldn't work since it would make them way to bulky and htey are supposed to fit like real underwear.

Try pampers 2T; they fit my string bean children. - I will warn you, 18m is most likely too young, particularly for a boy, despite them showing some signs. Be prepared to go back in diapers for a while. I thought it was pretty early. I figured we'd be in diapers for at least another year, so we'll just see what happens! DS2 (also 18 mo) is interested in the toilet too. Keeps opening the lid, will grab his penis, etc. Then I look away and he's just throwing spoons and whatnot in the toilet instead 😂😂😂 I have a low PT bar. DS1 didn't PT til almost 3 and daycare did the lions share of it.

He likes to come into our bathroom and say "potty" and bang on the toilet until I undress him and sit him down. He almost immediately shakes his head no and I take him off. He will sit on the potty chair we got him, but he mostly thinks it's for standing in..? Then we take him off and he pees on the floor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DD used her potty two mornings in a row. I put her on the potty and she promptly went. She’s also been saying “ I poop” when she poops. I feel like I don’t want to rush her. She’ll be 2 in June. But if I’m getting pregnant this summer it would be nice to only have one in diapers.

I've got a bunch of cute animal shaped cutters and picks in my shopping cart right now. I want to up my food serving game (damn you Instagram) and I am hoping maybe it will help my kid eat better. Worth a try??
ETA: Oops, wrong thread.
