I just got to work. H had an immunologist appt at 11 and then my MIL met me at my house so I could get here.
We'll be starting a weekly antibiotic for 6 months in hopes of preventing some of these infections. If it doesn't help, the dr will do more in depth labs.

I keep thinking it's Friday. Terribly disappointing.

+1 to thinking all morning it was Friday.
I’m feeling worse. My ears are plugged, I can’t smell or taste anything, and my sinuses hurt. I’m exhausted and really wanted to take a nap during the kids’ nap. But after I showered (hair wash day) and made lunch and cleaned up the kitchen both kids were wide awake. So there went that idea.

waitwhat Being sick with kids ranks right up there with being hungover with kids. I'm so sorry.

Hi friends...
Crazy day today. I had ABs allergy testing recheck (they had told me they wanted to recheck him after he hit 2 years old) at 8:45am.. and the fridge was being delivered between 8:30-10:30.. so my mom was going to stay behind with AV while I took AB. Of course then AV threw a fit she couldn’t come so I had to take both to ABs allergy appt. Guess which one cried while AB was being tested? AV.
Anyway, they want me to have labs done to be certain. Egg came up negative !!!!!!!!!!! There was a good chance he would outgrow it by 2 (greater chance by age 4, and then age 6 almost everyone does). So this was very good happy news. And still testing negative for peanuts so that’s good. But, now he tested positive for wheat and tree nuts, hence her request for blood work. So, they could be false positives and I’m hoping for that. He eats wheat and we don’t have an issue. I eat almonds all the time and thought he hasn’t had it, I’ve never seen him respond to exposure.
Fridge came in. I’m not loving the cost but I just want to move on with my life. I can’t stew... so trying to get excited about an organized fridge.

Had my GTT today. I guess no news is good news and if Tuesday comes and goes without a phone call I passed. M is napping 🙌🏻 so I’m going to get my workout in and start on dinner. If y’all didn’t try the Change Your Life Chicken recipe tgrimes posted a few weeks ago you need to change that immediately.

We’ve been testing eggs out on M in the last and so far so good! I have high hopes for AB. I didn’t expect it so I’m very pleasantly surprised. M tests positive for tree nuts and wheat too, but eats them just fine so we KOKO. Her seasonal allergies are terrible and the doc said sometimes the skin just reacts to those. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

kleigh that’s great news! I’m holding on tight to hearing most kids outgrow eggs by 6. So far, B’s has either stayed the same or seemed to have gotten worse. We don’t go back until the summer (he’ll be 4) so hoping for good news. I swear the poor kid looks at eggs and breaks out.

Last I remember some stuff was ok, but then others weren’t.

We’ve avoided it basically because the last time he came in contact with milk (J had some and a few drops splashed on B’s face) and he broke out in hives where the milk hit him. And now he’s been breaking out when eating chili so I’m wondering if there’s something else going on. Sigh.

MH & I are going to the Rockets game again tonight. We're going back to that same spot to eat beforehand. I'm thinking I'll try the veggie pizza. It has roasted squash, zucchini, artichokes, carrots, asparagus, crispy Brussels sprouts leaves, goat cheese and basil pesto. With a wine flight of course.

I just want both of our kids to be able to go have some ice cream one of these summers. And for us to not have to double and triple check everything before letting them have it.
