Does anyone have any meal plans or recipes they want to share?
I'm finally getting my kitchen back so I need some ideas!

I plan 12 meals at a time and shop every two weeks. I make a stop after a week for more fruit and milk. Currently, we have pizza casserole, pizza, lasagna rolls, vegetable quiche and balsamic flank steak on the menu. Everything is served with at least one vegetable. Meal plan? What is this you speak of? It has been probably at least 2 months since I meal planned. Time is usually tight lately, and what little time I have is unpredictable, so I have been mostly sticking to my quickest, easiet meals. Also, I am currently working with a limited kitchen and will be for a while between packing and moving, plus I only plan to unpack partially as we are doing a major remodeling project. While some of that project was done before we started moving in to avoid major kitchen impact at a time when we would have otherwise needed to still use it, my kitchen will still be plenty impacted at various stages. I am getting burnt out on eating the same stuff so much. If anyone has ideas, please feel free to share.

I'm with you cam . Not with the moving or remodeling but we have been sucking at the meal planning. I work with DH on this because he cooks majority of the time especially in the summer with grilling being his favorite so we've kind of just been winging it which is terrible $ wise & organizational wise. We really need to get back on track. It's usually our MO though. We get good for a few months then fall of the bandwagon more than we were doing good. Gahhhh we're the worst.

I definitely keep to a very flexible plan at most (when life isn't creating extra havoc), and even that flexible plan goes off the rail plenty because, well, that's life.

cam we have been without a kitchen now for 8 weeks and it just flat out sucks. We've done a lot of takeout which I know is expensive but I've also been trying to use the grill more and we plugged the slow cooker into the garage as well as our microwave. Maybe sub sandwiches and change them up a bit for a few variations?

Just joking of course (I am so out of it tonight, so my joke is surely lame but oh well). I completely understand appliances in random places, have been in that boat plenty. How much longer is your project scheduled to last? Grilling... don't even get me started. Grrr! Though I hadn't thought of using the kitchen thing as the perfect reason as to why MH should finally help me get the grill out (he keeps dragging his heals), so good idea; hopefully I can finally convince him with one more reason added to my arsenal.

Haha I laughed! We actually got our kitchen back this weekend! We are in process of unpacking everything and it's going very slowly.

dizzycooks, what kinds of things are you looking for? What isn't working with whatever you usually do, or what are you getting sick of, etc? I have lots of meals I would normally make if not for my current situation, and I am happy to share ideas if I have a starting point.

We are getting our summer csa now and this week was loaded with greens. Pac choi, arugula, napa cabbage, red and green kale, spinach, braising greens...I'm having a hard time incorporating it all. Green smoothies for breakfast. Coleslaw, sautéed greens, salad, wraps... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Http://notjustnovels.wordpress.com
