LOL NO! Don’t be like me. I feel like I am actively dying. Oh don't worry! This is not on my #goals! You were probably smart enough to finish when you were a whippersnapper! Unfortunately, I was working two jobs plus going to school and had to quit when my hair started falling out and I could barely walk LOL. That was the beginning of the end WRT my health problems. I’m sure that being that busy expedited my decline, and I clearly learned absolutely nothing since that time.

I’m sure that being that busy expedited my decline, and I clearly learned absolutely nothing since that time. Ha! Not quite. I decided after the 4 years it took me to get my associates degree, to get married and move away and take a break from school "for a bit". Then as young (I was 23) poor newlyweds, I needed to work and because of where we live (middle of no where) there isn't much option for college locally. So here I sit, at 38 years old, with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education, but working instead for the government in fee management. I always said I wanted to go back someday, but now that I have waited this long, and with the level of care S needs, on top of working, I just don't see it in the foreseeable future. But luckily, although I don't love my job, I also don't hate it. And it is fairly secure (other than shutdown's), with good benefits and leave. So I can't really complain. And I am making more than I would have if I had continued on my path to teaching.

M had her appt with the new GI this morning. She wants to start her on meds for acid reflux to see if that stops the vomiting. I'm not confident that's what it is, but we have to rule everything else out first. The upper GI that was done a year ago says no definite reflux noted. I messaged the GI so we'll see if she still wants to start the prevacid.
Also her thyroid level is high so we're supposed to redo labs at the next appointment to check it again. Both my mom & sister have hypothyroidism so I'm not surprised. But it's just one more thing to add to the list.

nam2013, they're disgusting aren't they? I don't know how anyone can continue to support republicans. Because we can't reduce it to just Trump. He only can only do so much. He needs the support and backing of many to have done what he has done. It's the whole lot of them who are complicit with choosing $$$ over country. cagoldi I'm sorry you're still ill and it's been a rough adjustment for P. Mom guilt sucks. tgrimes I hope the meds help M! lfig, a lot can be said for a decent job and security. I really can't imagine going back to school now. I'm in awe of those who do. It was hard enough without kids.

inthekitty I’m sorry about shit your dad left you all to deal with. I know sometimes taking the high road is so much harder than doing exactly what you are feeling. I would probably want to do the same if I was in your situation. So sorry, again.

I think we would fare better with an actual baboon than we have with OH. Just based on statistics a baboon would do a better job. If we gave the baboon a yes and no button for voting and approval issues the split would likely be approximately even as opposed to consciously choosing the evil choice 100% of the time.

Finally getting around to checking in fully. It was so busy today. We had Josie’s school conference this morning — they’re very impressed with her, and it made me feel good about our choice to hold her back. I picked up some new things to make for dinner (hearts of palm lasagna and some berries called cape gooseberries). Both are so good! I spent the afternoon moving small pieces of furniture around the house, and I like a lot of what I’ve accomplished (without spending anything), but I might make a thread to figure out what color I should paint some furniture, plus what kind of mirror to hang on a wall. I’m hoping I can re-organize two spaces in the house with potentially just buying small cans of paint, a throw, and a decorative basket

Hello, also late checking in. I had book club this morning, then C and I ran to Target before pick-up. DH got home on the early side and he took B to the park while C and I napped.
To be filed under: weird happenings...headed to book club this morning, my GPS took me to some random church parking lot two exits down the interstate ! So bizarre. The hostess’ house was less than a mile from mine in actuality. It happened to another woman there, too. WTF, google maps?

It was a bolognese sauce but I’m sure you can easily veganize it with extra veggies or even soy crumbles. I bet the Chao or daiya cheeses would work nicely, too. I loosely followed this recipe: www.ffactor.com/recipes/heartsof-palm-lasagna/I wanted to play with whole hearts of palm, not the noodles made from it, so I bought some jars of it. I didn’t add ricotta. I made my own sauce, played around with the spices, and used pepper jack instead of mozzarella, but the cool part was that the vinegary brine stayed with the whole stalks (I sliced them lengthwise) so it adds a really nice bright component to the tomato sauce.

I have a vegan pasta I make with tofu and hearts of palm that is amazing. Even my dad, who never misses an opportunity to whine about vegan food, asked for the recipe.

tgrimes - I forgot to mention it but earlier this week, I got a brochure via email for some program at one of the town parks. There were a few pictures and one was of a girl who looked so much like M at first glance that I literally thought "oh cool, that's M". Except clearly not, since she probably hasn't attended a nature program in Podunk, CT.

Hi! I legit forgot my phone at home all day, I felt so naked, it was really bizarre. inthekitty I'm sorry about your dad squandering away the money, so so sh*tty. I also watched the hearing today and have maxed out on white men yelling, I'm not sure what they were trying to prove, he went in saying he was a liar and going to to jail, that's common knowledge - maybe care that trump is implicated in what he is saying 🤷. I missed AOC, but sounds like she got some good questions in to get justification to get some more documents. Girl is a rockstar at a good line of questioning.

But if you create an account you will immediately get your own code and can share it. I usually share on the rothy Facebook ads and get referral credits that way. You used to be able to stack the initial referral with inches you get (if you wanted to wait or work for it) What pairs are you thinking about?
