Hi!
Busy here at work. Nothing new to report. I do have a question for those that have dealt with lip ties.
M2 has one that I noticed a few weeks ago. It’s pretty bad in that it makes brushing his teeth hard. He always protested more when I tried to brush the front two and I flipped his lip back and saw it was pretty much attached at his gym between his teeth. I would like to get it taken care of before I lose my health insurance when we move. Who should I see about it? He has a dentist appointment scheduled next month, but not sure if they can refer us out for that. Should I make an appointment with his pedi? I vaguely remember her mentioning it when he was an infant, but never made it seem like a big deal.

I finally made it to work about 10:30. Not long after I sat at my desk, I got a text from one of my best friends asking if I would rent my basement out for cheap to a lady and her two dogs. I told her I'd have to talk to H about it and asked who would be renting. It's her...she's planning on leaving her husband. This isn't the first time she's talked about divorce, but definitely the most she's thought things through. I'm not a fan of her H, but I do feel bad for her. I sent H a text that we could talk about it and he's already answered me, so it sounds like we may end up with a roommate for a few months. inthekitty I'm so sorry about the news you continue to receive about your dad. I understand wanting to go to his funeral, but I do agree, taking the high road and cutting ties with that side of the family for good, is the best. |

lahdeedah I'd start with the pedi, maybe they can even do the clip in the office. Or a lactation consultant and see if either they do it, or can recommend someone.

mwhip That's great that you'd open your home to a friend for a few months, very kind of you. I hope it's a smooth transition for her, I'm sure it's a hard decision to leave

Is anyone watching the testimony? Whoa. I actually have hope this is the beginning of a looooooonnnng end. The republicans on the panel are a pathetic disgrace. The only thing they've tried do to is discredit Cohen. That's all they've got up their sleeve. Cohen might be slime, but that doesn't mean that Trump isn't. And they know that. You don't just happen to have every member of your team be a complete sleazy criminal and somehow you are innocent. A girl can dream right?! seriously though I’ve thought so many times ‘this is it’ & then nothing happened. |

Hey. I don’t think I told you guys but H only lasted an hour at school before they called me to pick her up yesterday. Tried again today and she made it the whole day. S had her well check and she’s still a shrimp. Otherwise everything else is fine. I just heard we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow and I am not amused. It’s supposed to be getting warmer! inthekitty what a piece of trash. I’m sorry he was the worst. lahdeedah I’d ask around and see if there is a dentist that can laser the ties. |

inthekitty I'm sorry for all the family craziness. mwhip that's super awesome of you to help a friend out. But be sure to set the stage for expectations at the beginning. I have a friend (who is single) who's BFF left her H. She had a 2 year old. Her and the 2 year old moved in for about 8 months. They did not set any guidelines or anything but their friendship definitely changed. The roomate did not cover her share of expenses, did not buy groceries hardly ever, she let her 2 year old eat on the furniture (which, so do I, but not at someone else's house) and the white couch was stained because of it. And there was just a lot of animosity that built up because my friend felt like her friend was taking advantage of her. My friend said she felt like she went from single to providing for a family instantly and because she didn't think it was going to go on for so long she just kept biting her tongue and letting it ride...until enough was enough, and she told her she was going to have to find somewhere else to go. They are still friends, but it's different now. nam2013 I feel like you have been fighting this illness forever! I hope you are on the mend soon.

Morning, S didn't eat yesterday at school and was super cranky again. MH stayed home with her today and took her to the dr. She has an ear infection and her throat was pretty red. So she is getting a round of antibiotics. In the meantime, I am at work and trying to motivate myself to do a bunch of crap that I need to do, unsuccessfully.

I’m not feeling so hot. Not sure if my lung infection ever cleared up and Wondering if I need another x-ray.
Miss P is having a really hard time. She’s only sleeping for thirty minutes all day and then she’s up again for at least a couple hours each night. I don’t think she’s sick and doubt it’s teeth, just seems like excessive clinginess because she hasn’t been able to adjust to daycare. Feeling some mom guilt and generally tired.

Last night we went to Chipotle for dinner with Dude’s little school buddy. They thought it was so fun and special. It was the cutest.
I’m on school break for the next couple weeks, thank goodness. I must really be out of my mind because I am signed up for 32 more units this year.

lfig I told her and my H that the 3 of us would need to sit down and discuss details before we would commit. Time frame is the top of my list. I love her dearly, but 8 months...no. She told me that she's expecting it to last until they sell their house, then she would have the cost for a deposit on something and be able to move. She also needs to bring her 2 dogs, and I told her we would have to introduce them to our 2 dogs to determine if it would work as well. She works from home, so she would be home with the dogs all day and that could be an issue. I don't want to do anything to harm my relationship with her, or my relationship with H, but I want to be able to help her in some capacity. I remember leaving my ex, having somewhere I was comfortable going and staying for awhile, was difficult, definitely the biggest hurdle.

But....ugh!!! I just want her hands to work! I can only imagine the frustration she feels when she tries to do things and struggles. The neuromuscular doctor said he really didn't know if we would see any results from it but he wanted to give it a few months to see since it is the least invasive of options. He said the surgeons usually like to operate by the time they hit 9 months from the onset of issues. So since her issues started at the end of September he said we will want to go see a surgeon by June if these infusions don't work. |
