Week/fruit/EDD: 20w3d/sweet potato/ July 12
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: OB on Thursday and anatomy scan Friday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Finding out finally this week!!
Milestones: I’ve reached the point of people commenting on my belly in public. One of the cashiers at the grocery store I see at least weekly was all OMG you are pregnant?!? Lol
Symptoms: Mostly just exhausted. My hips and pelvis are also pretty angry these days. I got a belly support belt the other day and I’m hoping it will help on days I’m on my feet a lot.
Rants: Just generally uncomfortable. I wake up all night long because my hips hurt no matter what position I try to sleep in.
Raves: Just excited about the anatomy scan this week. Also, DS is super cute and talks to the baby.

I'm starting to feel movement despite my anterior placenta although it stresses me out when she decides to have a quiet day...like today:/ Symptoms: Nausea, sore hips and boobs, still throwing up (yay), constipation, I'm sure there's more. Rants: I hate that there are days where I can't feel her. It stresses me out and makes me think there is something wrong. Now that I've gotten attached I am constantly worried. Raves: I sorted, washed and put away all my 0-6 month clothing. I also bought the only big item I needed so all my baby shopping is officially done.

Week/fruit/EDD: 14w4d/beet/August 23
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: No baby related appointments other than I am FINALLY doing my bloodwork today.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green
Milestones: Officially 2nd trimester.
Symptoms: Hunger, I eat 2 breakfasts a day. Nausea? Fatigue, hormonal imbalance?
Rants: I admit I don't eat a large breakfast due to nausea but still I don't enjoy being hangry an hour or 2 later while trying to wrangle a toddler who realizes that they are also hungry.
Raves: I take a bellydancing class and it definitely helps me be aware of how my muscles are doing in the pelvic region. I also tried Bodyfit by Amy's prenatal kickboxing workout and it was really enjoyable and doable for someone lacking coordination like me.

peachesncream: The weather here has made everything icy too. Last night I parked the car in the middle of the driveway because I was frustrated about how I'd readjust while backing up and swing one way because the driveway is mostly ice now. I want to take walks outside without a thousand layers and watching every step!

elodin I noticed you already have a RCS scheduled. My first was breech so I had a CS. I have the option for a VBAC but I’m not sure its the route I want to take. Did you have the option of a VBAC? I’m surprised you’re scheduled out so early. If we do a RCS (which I’m leaning towards) I want to see which doctor is on call which days.

elodin I noticed you already have a RCS scheduled. My first was breech so I had a CS. I have the option for a VBAC but I’m not sure its the route I want to take. Did you have the option of a VBAC? I’m surprised you’re scheduled out so early. If we do a RCS (which I’m leaving towards) I want to see which doctor is on call which days. I had a c-section with my first because she was breech as well. That one was scheduled when I was maybe 30 weeks because chances were she wasn't turning herself at that point. My water ended up breaking at 37+4 with her so that appointment went out the window lol. I wanted a VBAC with my second, but he was really comfy in there and didn't come before I was 40 weeks so I had another C. That one was scheduled really far out too. Your risk for uterine rupture is higher after 40 weeks so my doctors don't recommend a VBAC after that point. I was fine with it since my first was pretty much a breeze. I did have a tiny bit of disappointment that I didn't get a chance to deliver the way I really wanted. But it was a fleeting feeling. This time around I want a tubal since we are absolutely done. So it just seems like the easiest way. I wouldn't be against a VBAC if I go into labor before my RCS. But I haven't asked about the risks. I'm also a little nervous about trying to deliver a big baby vaginally and then winding up having to have a c-section anyway. I think my office just likes to have the surgery on the books just in case and also to make sure you are with a doctor you know. Since my first was basically unplanned I had only met the doctor doing my surgery maybe twice. He's a great doctor and wonderful surgeon so I wasn't worried. The second time was with the doctor I saw throughout that entire pregnancy which was great. This one is scheduled with one of the doctors I see regularly.

cookswithwine I am having a RCS as well. My OB won't book it until I'm closer to 30 weeks. It will be scheduled with him for 39 weeks so I know my date will likely be June 24th or 25th.

Week/fruit/EDD: 19+3, Mango, 7/21 (will be induced at 39 weeks or before)
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: 3/4 (OB 20 week visit), 3/12 (GD # check), 3/18 (growth scan)
Team: Blue
Milestones: Feeling movement most days (and freaked out on days I don't).
Symptoms: Tired, looking pretty pregnant now
Rants: GD sucks but I'm dealing with it. Annoyed that I can't go to Florida on a work trip in April due to Zika risk (both my OB and my MFM advised better to skip the trip if it's not mandatory). We have a trip planned to a marina resort in Maryland for Memorial Day so I'm hoping that doesn't get nixed...I can't spend the entire early summer inside.
Raves: Had an appt with my MFM yesterday and she was pleased with my blood glucose numbers. She actually said I'm being *too* strict and I need to have more carbs with dinner especially and a better snack in the evenings. She suggested ice cream so who am I to deny?! She is still planning on inducing at 39 weeks at the latest, which is fine by me because I'm a planner. There's a part of me that wants to know what it's like to actually go into labor, but the bigger part of me knows that I like knowing exactly how things will go, so this works out.

Ugh @frank that is so frustrating. CDC says there were no mosquito borne cases of Zika in the continental US in 2018 so I just thought it wasn't a thing here anymore. What are pregnant people in Florida supposed to do? 🙄

@frank thats surprising... I had a trip to Jamaica that we cancelled due to Zika (our office had a confirmed case the day that I asked) but she didn't take issue with travel to Orlando, Florida in April.

What are pregnant people in Florida supposed to do? 🙄 I mean I thought the same thing. She basically said it's just not worth the risk, and since it's not a mandatory trip that if I can send someone else in my place, that would be her advice. She did say that her recommendation is based on it being a coastal location, so places like Orlando would likely be fine. She said she recently had a patient who went to a country with no known risk and she had an abnormal test result so she's just being extra cautious, which I appreciate even though I'm annoyed on my own behalf.

Week/fruit/EDD: 17 tomorrow
FTM, etc: baby 3
Appointments: Friday. I am excited.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): blue
Milestones: I look pregnant now
Symptoms: pelvic separation, nausea, still diarrhea
Rants: so many
Raves: I ordered my new stroller, diaper bag, and a support belt for my poor self.
I might be going for a VBAC, it depends on how my BP goes, if I get preeclampsia, etc. If baby can stay in until 39 weeks I'll do an induction but before that I'm opting for RCS. Providers have been pushing for an induction over a c section and I'm worried I'll have another "are you sure you don't want to induce" on delivery day if I choose RCS.

@frank that’s surprising to me... considering I’m pg and I live in coastal FL lol. Not in Miami but there aren’t any Zika cases in Miami either. Obv I would follow your doctors instructions but I think she’s being overly cautious.
