Baby is the size of: acorn squash
FTM
Team: 💙
Appointments: not for a few weeks
Milestones: not sure if I’ve hit anything new this week
Symptoms: back pain!
Rants: we drove to Santa Fe this weekend, and omg the back pain after 6 hours in the car! And then so many of the restaurants have wooden chairs with no back support.
Raves: when my back wasn’t hurting, we had a really good getaway in Santa Fe. We ate lots of delicious food, visited the museums, and just relaxed, read, and talked. It was so nice to have a weekend that wasn’t filled with chores!

FTM, Etc: stm
Team: blue
Appointments: next week is my glucose test

Symptoms: Feeling somewhat nauseous again, not as bad though and I’ve been having headaches.
Rants: I’m just sick of feeling sick. We got another stomach bug last week so it feels like I’ve either had pregnancy related sickness or actual sickness since October.
We also still don’t know where we will be living in June. We should find out this week.
Raves: I’m grumpy so I don’t really have much. Friends are selling us some of their baby stuff for a good price so I’m excited to have some stuff I didn’t with my first.

mamabear02, I hope the viruses stay away so you can start to feel better! midnight, sorry about the sciatic pain! Is there anything you can do to make it feel better? sunny75, yay for passing the GTT! courtniko, out of curiosity, why wouldn’t turmeric be safe for pregnancy? As a spice it’s perfectly fine, is it just one of those things where they haven’t studied it in large quantities? Maybe talk to your doc about doing it as a turmeric latte or something? quinstar, I haven’t heard of Boondox, what is it? sammysam, that’s exciting that you’re feeling movement! I hope your PGAL brain is able to relax a bit as you get farther.

bonzo, It's like Dave and Busters, they've got bowling, laser tag, arcade games, go carts. The 14 year old in MH had a lot of fun.

bonzo, from Google (lots of conflicting info of course) it is safe to use as a spice, but some say not a supplement. But the supplement amounts dont seem higher than spice amounts by much? And it is one of those they just have not studied enough. I am also seeing warnings against eating food with cinnamon for some reason, and 8 definitely eat cinnamon, so who knows. Pregnancy warnings are so frustrating, because it is so often just a lack of info, not any actual evidence. And people have eaten this stuff for ever, well before Google was around to spread warnings. I am just stuck in my frustration about my fasting numbers, and wanting to not have to give myself shots every day, and wanting to avoid an early induction if possible. Obviously I want to do what is best, but I hope to avoid extra complications.

Obviously I want to do what is best, but I hope to avoid extra complications. I’d talk to your doctor, since it worked to get your fasting numbers down. Maybe they’ll have some recommendations on how to eat it. Ive heard that some babies get upset stomachs from breast milk if the mom eats cinnamon, but I hadn’t heard anything about it during pregnancy. You’re right, so much of this is so confusing, and they say to avoid whole categories just because something isn’t fully studied.
