How's everyone's weekend going? We are on our I've-lost-count blizzard of the year so the kids and I are going stir crazy and watching way too much TV. I hope your weekends are more exciting!

Yard work over here. The weeds were taking over so it had to be done. After Os nap we will go grocery shopping for the week. I need to think of some meals to make. Meatball subs and tacos have been used too many times lately.

Iโm with DS at the big indoor play place at the mall. He is burning off some energy which is much needed. I canโt wait for the weather to warm up so he can start playing outside.

We had a lot of rain and wind over the weekend, but a dinner with friends for a birthday last night... unfortunately it ended up being super awkward. lol What happened? It's a bit convoluted but the friend that invited us didn't mention that it was mainly family. We showed up before she had and they took us to a table with people we didn't know and we said we think its the wrong group. So we walked back, but it was in fact the correct table. Which is all well and good but we had all the kids and our au pair, their au pair showed up (the birthday girl) with another friend. So we get shown back to the table. Our original friend shows up, sort of introduces her family, and was hyper focused on her phone the entire night. We kept trying to engage with her but she seemed totally off. (she has a new job so I get dealing with work stuff) her son was being a typical 3 year old but he sat with his uncle so that was good. Then our friend's au pair gets a message and all the girls get up to leave (she apparently was told her uncle passed away during her birthday dinner which is AWFUL!!!). So it was just a very weird night over all. I still have no idea what was up with our friend that night. Or where her husband was. It seemed to be way more of a family dinner and we were just...there?

Negative rambling update below esp in relation to my pregnancy, if this is triggering to you please skip.. I'm not connecting with this baby. I was hoping that some clarity with the ultrasound would be good but I shouldn't have done the ultrasound that early because I'm doubting it. But I know that sounds crazy because I should just accept it but I'm really having trouble. I'm still not feeling movement, but I was already definitely feeling movement with both my boys by now.
I'm so tired all the time. My pelvis is having separation pain already and my c section scar has been giving me issues. My toddler is walking now and getting into every.damn.thing. which I know is completely normal but it's extra exhausting as well.
And because of all these feelings I'm pretty sure I have prenatal depression and I am talking to my doctor about it on Friday.
Tldr , I'm struggling with this pregnancy. But baby is fine as far as I know and everything is going... Decently. ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ

peachesncream, friendofdobby, thank you both so much. I am hoping that at this time they can direct me to a counselor to work out my feelings vs suggesting medication as I haven't been on medication in several years now and it hasn't worked in the past. I'm hoping that I can get some relief from my pelvic pressure as well. I am nervous to see them. I've also decided not to breastfeed unless baby gets here and I just feel like it. We'll see. I'm hoping the appointment goes swimmingly and I get some help

beenthere if your appointment does NOT go swimmingly don't be discouraged. I'm not sure which doctor you are seeing but I know my OB is essentially useless in mental health issues - I typically go to my PCP or counselor. FX you get some things worked out tomorrow though. Sending love and hugs.

peachesncream I lost SO much hair PP last pregnancy, its finally about 2-3 inches of growth back around my face and DS just turned one a couple of weeks ago... I am NOT looking forward to the next round of hair going away in clumps. I look like a chia pet already.

Appointment went good. She got me a referral for a counselor. She thinks I might have a kidney stone. :/ I don't know if any of y'all from TTGP remember the huge ordeal I went through with my last but it has me nervous

beenthere: I'm glad they've referred you to a counsellor. Dealing with mental health during pregnancy is hard and it's even harder with older kids. I find if I'm having a "bad" day and DD is just particularly toddlerish... everything feels impossible. I'm wondering if I should find out the sex at the next u/s because I feel very connected but I'm convinced we're having another girl. I wonder if having a boy would end up being a huge shock and a struggle with PP mood swings (I had them last time, so I expect them again) A kidney stone while pregnant would suck. Hopefully they can give you a more firm answer or it ends up being an easy to pass stone!

@kore finding out the sex early helped me to connect to this pregnancy. I was having trouble feeling any attachment at all but finding out helped me:)

I struggled connecting with my second when we were team green but this time feels different. I also struggled to connect to my third when we found out sex at 10 weeks. If it's a girl this time we get a 4 pack of sisters, which I have kind of always wanted, and if it's a boy we get a fun new adventure! That moment right after birth where DH told me it was a girl was just so magical too, I can't wait to do that again ๐
