You guys. Pete’s boss just called and told him that they made a mistake on his bonus and it is $22,000 instead of $10,000! Shit yeah!! Time to make it rain! Lol |

I have to say I am really enjoying Adam Scott plastered all over this thread, as well. cagoldi clearly the extra bonus is a sign. Plus isn’t their currency way down against the dollar right now? It would probably be fiscally irresponsible NOT to go 😉 |

Good luck mwhip ! Madison did great at her talent show try out yesterday. She was so confident. I've got my fingers crossed that today she finds out she's in. So glad it's Friday. Like, really glad. Started watching She-ra on Netflix with the girls. It's actually really entertaining. She-ra was my show. I was super jealous of my friend down then street that had the she-ra wig and sword. I'll have to show it to M to see if she likes it. Knowing M’s other tv show taste, she might like Jen. Josie thinks she’s great! |

I was a huge She-Ra fan. My dad still talks about how the VHS tape was so worn out it was slow and terrible but I still insisted on watching it, it drove him batty. So just for fun I am going to set up my nieces to have it on next time hes babysitting!

FFFC that while I would have a hard time leaving my kids for that long (but have done for work) I'm whatevs about leaving my husband for...let's say a week? Obligatory I love him, blah, blah, blah, but sometimes it's nice to have a break.

A was successful with the builder. Made him cut the check we needed for a contractor and make all the phone calls needed and gets things scheduled. Move in date is middle of march as of now. I'm not holding my breath. After everything that was decided I'm both happy and seeing red. It's a long story but basically, if my project manager hadn't been an epic failure at his job or if my builder had taken over sooner- we would have been moved in by January. He admitted they dropped the ball big time and apologized.

When we went to Fiji it was 16 days total being away from S. It was tough, but a much needed re-charge! We facetimed almost every day. And the snuggles when we got back were fabulous!

cagoldi Studying abroad in Greece is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would absolutely go! wedding The interview went really good, I think. I was there for over 2 hours. I spoke to the HR manager first and she answered all my questions. Then I met with the CEO and he just seemed to talk about the company a lot, not really ask me any questions. They told me they have 2 more candidates, but would let me know soon if they want me to come back to speak with the team I would manage. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for enough money, I don't currently manage anyone except myself and only asked for $5k more than I currently make. But I want to see their benefit package before I get ahead of myself. There is nothing about the actual job requirements that bother me, I can do it easily. I didn't get a good feel for the culture of the company though...like of course the HR manager and CEO are going to say everyone gets along, but when that's the reason you give me for how you retain employees, both management and production, I feel like something is missing. I guess I need to know more the social aspect of things...there are a lot of perks to my company that are social settings away from the office that factor in. So basically, 2 hours that answered questions, but didn't answer some.

It’s been a busy Friday for me. I’m working all day, and wishing I didn’t offer to stay longer than my usual half day. I could use some down time.
Hope everyone has been having a Good Friday. Anyone else in the 80s today? I want to to warm up, but I wasn’t ready for 80s already!

We were long distance for years before moving in together and even then, he kept his job 3 hours away and was gone M-Th until he changed jobs when S was about 18 months. I've always been independent anyway, and I think that our relationship works better that way. A few years ago my SIL's H had to go away to take care of his mother for a few days and she was freaking out that they hadn't spent a night apart. Ever. I find that... unusual. Esp. since she was in her late 30's when they met so had been alone for quite sometime before then. |
