cookswithwine your post reminded me that I too also had lots of cramping and some lower back pain for a couple of days. Do you think that having the nurse mash on my uterus during the Doppler could cause this? Or just RLP? It does seem to have subsided. I’ve also been trying to drink lots of water.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 21+0/July 1st
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Thursday to go over the AS results and my regular monthly appointment stuff
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink:)
Milestones: The AS was great. We saw her moving around, stretching out, and looking perfect. I have an anterior placenta again so I'm still not really feeling movement but I'm hoping it picks up in the next few weeks so that my anxiety can take a bit of a break.
Symptoms: Nausea, sore hips, the usual.
Rants: I'm feeling huge. I barely gained any weight with my first but I'm scared to step on the scale this time! I'm not feeling as horrible as I was before so I'm trying to be more active each day and I'm aiming for 10k steps a day. I just don't want to have a crazy amount of weight to lose after baby gets here:/
Raves: I bought some nursing shirts and the rest of the baby stuff that we needed since there was a sale on this weekend. I just need to do some decluttering of my parents' house over the next few months so that we have room for baby once she gets here. I'm going to have to ship a lot of stuff over to MIL's house I think

Rants: worked 8 days in a row, and thought I would get to have tomorrow completely off. Nope. The volunteer committee at work donated us some money and they want a picture. So I have to go put on a uniform again and show up. Blah.
Raves: ultrasound!!

Week/Fruit/EDD: 18w2d/Artichoke/July 21
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Today with the perinatologist, 3/4 for 20 week check up, 3/6 for anatomy scan
Team: Blue
Milestones: Can't wait to be halfway in a couple of weeks!
Symptoms: Still tired, sore boobs, RLP like a MFer
Rants: Spent a couple of hours in the ER on Saturday - severe pain the my lower left abdomen so they were checking for a cyst but found nothing...seems like it's just really, really severe RLP that doesn't ever subside, so that's fun. Got my official diagnosis yesterday evening of GD - I was expecting it since I had it with my daughter's pregnancy but I'm still kind of bummed.
Raves: Feeling a decent amount of movement. Finally decided on a "theme" for baby's nursery, and we settled on a name!

@frank ugh, I had RLP like that last pregnancy and I am dreading it this time around. It was like the worst sideache I had ever felt and nothing would make it go away, not changing position or drinking water or anything. I ended up seeing a chiropractor because my baby was breech, and she would do some round ligament massaging that helped a bit. I bet if you looked on YouTube you could find how to do it! Sorry for the scare, glad everything else is okay.

Appointments: Thursday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): finding out, hopefully soon!
Milestones: so close to being out of the first tri!
Symptoms: still tired as can be. I had a massive headache yesterday, I hope this doesn't become the new norm.
Rants/Raves: We celebrated my son's first birthday last night with a super fun cake smash. He had such a ball but was so unsure what he was allowed to do at first. But in the end was trying to feed us all cake. It made for a special evening since I wont be able to spend the evening on his actual birthday with him tonight. <3

Week/Fruit/EDD: 13w4d/jalapeño/August 23 FTM, Etc: 2ndTM Appointments: We saw the MW on Friday, heard the heartbeat on the doppler - DD had no idea of course but her clueless staring was cute. Also need to do my blood test this week. Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green Milestones: 2nd trimester according to my MW eleanorshellstrop. Symptoms: Protein craving, fatigue, low BP Rants: The toddler's need to be independent was a real struggle this week. I'm feeling a lot more adjusted this week. I wish I had the desire to exercise more, the fatigue is really frustrating Raves: Really hoping the cloth trainers I ordered convince DD to stop fighting diapers until she's ready to potty train.

Anatomy scan this morning went great, and we are having a GIRL!!! DS is a bit disappointed that he’s not getting a brother, but he’ll come around.
Really, I’m just so thankful that everything looked perfect. I don’t think I was this nervous about possible issues last time, but I was so relieved to see a four-chambered heart, three-vessel cord, and all the organs in the right places and the right size. Baby is measuring a full week ahead right now, but we’re not changing the due date.

Finally decided on a "theme" for baby's nursery, and we settled on a name! Update: ended up having the anatomy scan on Tuesday during my appointment. Baby looked good and was measuring slightly ahead in most measurements. My placenta is low-lying but doc is confident it will move up like it did with DD. I also don’t have marginal cord insertion this time, so she thinks I’m more likely to have a normal-to-large sized baby (GD), whereas DD stayed small because the marginal cord insertion with her kind of offset the GD size stuff. Only minor concern was fluid on the kidneys, which she said can be a marker for Down Syndrome, but since I had the genetic testing done and it all came out negative, she isn’t concerned and said fluid on the kidneys is very normal in boys, it will just have to be monitored. As far as the GD goes, she said it’s possible I already had type 2 diabetes, but I’m not sure about that as I’ve had my sugar and A1C tested since DD was born and never was in the diabetes range. Anyway, I’m testing sugars now and go back in a week for her to review and decide if I need to go on insulin (ACOG new recommendation is straight to insulin vice oral medication). So far with 2 days of numbers, it’s looking like the same trend as with DD where I can control my daytime numbers with diet but nothing seems to help with my fasting number, so I’m guessing insulin is in my near future. Doctor says her goal is to get me to 39 weeks but she won’t be surprised if I have to go earlier, especially if I develop hypertension again. My body really, really doesn’t love being pregnant.

Ahhh I got an email that our results of the NIPT are ready. All I have to do is log in. It’s going to be such a long work day waiting to pick up SO so we can read them together! But I’m also really excited. And anxious.

So, I see my doctor tomorrow, but for now it seems I need to worry. I wasn’t 100% focused on the anatomy scan because I had my two kids with me. And the ultrasound lady was kind of giving me the rundown of what she was checking, pointing things out, answering my questions, etc. she didn’t say anything was wrong. Then at the end i asked if she saw anything concerning, and she kind of just said “not so far but your doctor will go over the report with you.” She started asking about the results of my testing with the NT scan, but I never heard any results from that, so I just assumed it was fine. I just felt like she was weirdly not answering.?
I know I can work myself up to worrying about nothing, but does it sound like things are ok to you?

robinanne I wonder if it may have been something like fluid on the kidneys like @frank had and maybe she asked about the NIPT/NT because it can be a marker for Down Syndrome. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry or dwell on it too much if you can <3

I think it could be something like @peachesandcream mentioned above. Or perhaps all is fine. Hard to tell based on what ultrasound tech said to you. . I can so relate to the worrying about the way something was phrased and getting very anxious. I hope tomorrow brings you answers and peace.

+1 to what peachesncream said. The techs aren't allowed to make any diagnostic comments. My experience has always been if the US is abnormal in some way I get a call from my doctor the same day. I hope you get some answers soon and that it helps to relieve your stress!
