Update. After brief happiness by both children at the beach we had to carry the 4 year old out screaming and kicking because of some unfair move(I put the baby on my back and she wanted me and only me to carry her). After another epic meltdown at home she is asleep in a rental house in no pull-up so hopefully she doesn't pee their bed.
Since she was asleep we held off too long on getting the baby to sleep (same room). She got overtired and also had an epic meltdown. Currently both asleep. Thank heavens.
I've begun fearing for my mental health.

It's unfortunate that the system I bought to notify me that my freezer has failed didn't notify me that my freezer failed. 24 hours ago. Fortunately, I happened to check the remote temperature sensor app on my phone during a bored BFing moment and, while the temperature of the air in the freezer was 50 degrees, everything IN the freezer was still frozen and nothing was lost. But OMG. There was a brownout yesterday when I was there (a nasty storm blew through when I was unpacking from the farmers market) and it must have caused the circuit breaker for the freezer to flip as well as somehow stopping the temperature sensor relay system from working (it's on a different circuit from the freezer, so I don't know what happened there). But why didn't this device didn't alert me to the lack of updates? Ugh.

I just cracked a beer and put on an HGTV show for some me time. Naturally, DH wandered in from his office and E woke up from his nap after I had approximately 4 minutes of me time. Lol. Womp womp.

It's unfortunate that I always forget how much I hate baking in stoneware. I don't do actual baking that often, and I'm remembering as I'm now 90 minutes into baking a 50 minute claufouti, which is messing up my planned baking times for the Cherry crisp sitting on the counter and the frozen pizza that will be dinner tonight.
I'm literally going to put Post-it notes in my damn stonewear that says "don't use me because you hate me and you forget".

It's unfortunate that last night I tried a new recipe for dinner and we couldn't eat like half of it. Saw a tasty video recipe for hasselbeck chicken, which bsically involves making slices into a chicken breast and stuffing it with spinach and ricotta and topping it with cheese and baking it. The problem was, I think the chicken breasts I bought were too big and while they were definitely no longer pink, the texture of the chicken was weird and like it wasn't cooked enough. Even after putting them back in for 10 minutes it was the same. Not sure if it was the chicken itself or it not being cooked enough or what, but we basically ate the edges where the texture was okay and threw away the rest. The spinach part was tasty, though. ((

It's unfortunate that my daughter has decided she no longer will go to child watch at the gym. Mommy NEEDS to exercise kid!

TW Child death I just got an email that a child at our DC died in a drowning accident at home. I think that I read about this last week in the news and the kid was in a foster home at the time. I didn't know the kid (he was between C and M's ages), but my heart breaks for everyone.

Whyyy can I never get my lawn mower to start? My neighbors are like "look at that dummy, she sets her kids up with a snack and a movie, puts on her grungy clothes, moves the cars, rolls up the hose, moves the kids toys, gets on the mower, and cranks and cranks and cranks like an idiot who can't figure out how to get it to fire!" Meanwhile they are just mowing their lawns or sitting on their back porches laughing at me. That's our weed eater. I refuse to use it. I usually just borrow my mom's battery-powered one when I need to edge the front and just roundup around fences in the back. We specifically bought a push mower that's supposed to start every time (or maybe by the second try?).
Edit: And it's unfortunate that I'm tired enough that I didn't realize that I wasn't on the most recent page.

It's unfortunate that we are leaving for a long road trip tomorrow morning and MH just realized that his license is expired.

It's unfortunate that I was given the green light to buy some clothes to make me feel good about myself and I had no idea what to buy because I apparently have no clue beyond jeans and a tee.

L absolutely will not drink milk out of a cup. She takes it from a bottle with zero issue, but I have tried every single cup and nada. She'll drink water out of any cup though.

My husband has to check on some field experiments tonight. It's time dependent and has to be done at night. So he left half an hour ago and won't get back until 1-2am, and then he still has to be at work at 8am.

It's unfortunate that both my kids got up last night, and it stormed, and I kept having nightmares during the very little sleep I got, and MH's alarm went off five times this morning. I maybe got 3 hrs of sleep. I'm a very grumpy mom today.

TW: Animal death There was a baby orangutan born at the Philly zoo over the weekend and it died last night, they think maybe from a heart defect. I was just there on Sunday and saw the new baby Gorilla and was saying how excited I was there was a baby orangutan coming. So sad.
