Wow kim22, you have had a day. Not that it's any of my damn business, but how did you find out about your dad? I hope they manage to sort things out to what makes sense for everyone involved. It's hard to figure out the resentment you feel when a parent cheats...my parents divorced for this reason when I was 11. I had a lot of resentment towards my dad for year, until I got married and matured. |

Can you call the school and ask them if you can schedule a visit? It’s what I’m doing tomorrow since there are a few different schools in the county we are looking at moving. I could but its really just my anxiety. I have been at the school a handful of times before and know the layout so its really just a walk through of their day that I want. I also want to know who is in his class and which teacher so I know if any of his current friends are there and if my neighbor has intel on the teacher. I just need to calm the eff down really. We didn’t find out the teacher and other students until a week or two before school started. |

People register right up until school starts due to moving so the schools don't want to place students too early until they have a better idea of how many students they'll have (ours made a last minute switch this year from 4 K classes to 5). Usually there's a back to school night that's within a week of school starting where you can see the classroom, meet the teacher, and drop off supplies. |

I am so undomesticated. I tried to make heart shaped pancakes for our “feast” tonight along with sausages. The pancakes were a wreck and most were tossed and I burned the sausage. C ate it happily so I guess that’s a win. I really need a personal chef.

Also school told DH that C had been saying he’s sick and insisting on having his temp taken. No fevers but they noted he “seemed tired”. So we skipped karate tonight. He is a ball of energy and totally fine. A lot of kids have been sick and he is copying them I think.

My mom sent me a set of jumbo heart-shaped cookie cutters so now I just make large pancakes and cut hearts out of the center. Just in case you want a cheater method for the future  |

Happy Valentine’s Day friends! I tried checking in earlier but apparently failed at that. The girls both had school this morning and while they were there I ran errands like a mad woman. My sister offered to let the girls go over to play and have a sleep over so I dropped them off at about 4:50 and then ran home to get ready for work. A very romantic dinner of 5 guys in my car and now I’m here. DH and I didn’t exchange gifts but I did buy myself a potted tulip at target today, they were $6 and so worth it.

These are what I have, they work great, I mean, if I can do it without screwing up, anyone can. The emoji stencils...did not work for me though. And they're only $15, but Im sure you could find something similar on Amazon.  |

Update: mh did get roses and a card when he went to get dessert..the card did say "ps- sorry I've been so grumpy". Self awareness is the first step, right? Ha. Oh well. My kids finally let me get a great pic of them, so I will call that a success of a day.
