I’m curious if anyone else has favorite blogs or IGs they get ideas from.

Pinterest mostly. I do ask my mom and several friends as I grew up in a homeschool community.

Are you a SEA (Secular, Eclectic, Academic) member? I like their Facebook group because I like getting secular suggestions. Plus, they have webinars sometimes that are of interest. I listened to one today on project based learning. It’s something I’ve gotten really interested in after reading Project-Based Homeschooling and researching Reggio Emilia. But that can be a discussion for another day lol. I’m finding my homeschooling plans/ideas are evolving a lot in these early stages.

I just read about Reggio Emilia and I loved it- it’s basically a formalized version of what we’re already doing most days. I think you might like the Homeschool Sisters’ podcast about strewing.

I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks. I think strewing is basically the same thing as provocations for Reggio Emilia? I’ll have to check into it more. But, yes, it’s sort of what we had already been doing. But I’ve gotten a lot more ideas for how to push an interest towards a question/project/actual learning so that has been really helpful.
