It's 7am and everyone else in my house is still asleep.
I survived my super busy work week!! Now back to feeling like a real person. I have a dentist appt today, book club after, and we have a kid's birthday party tomorrow morning, but that's the extent of my plans.
What's everyone up to?

Good morning! MH said I could sleep in this morning, but this was after a half an hour of DD being loud in our room so I didn't fall back asleep. I did lay here for a bit which was nice. DD made cookies for an event I have tomorrow and later today I'm going into the city for a scavenger hunt. Hopefully this will be fun and not lame.

My sister and her family are coming for the night. I just spent the last two hours cooking/ prepping for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. She is vegan and her kids vegetarian so food is always a big production. My H took N out of the house so at least I could work in peace. Tomorrow we all go to the local family amusement park.

H's birthday today. Waiting for HK to wake up from her nap then going out on the boat. Dinner tonight sans HK.

H just went out to get me a smoothie for lunch. That's all that sounds good to me right now.

I have had a crazy day so I'm trying to relax and get my heart rate back down. I did buy some yarn to make the baby a blanket.
We are going to go start on our registry tomorrow at BRU. I'm 17 weeks, but we are busy the next 3 weekends, then H has to go out of town for work, then our birthdays, then my work....we just want to get a head start on it all before it's too late. I figure I can add the big stuff like car seats and strollers then do the rest of it online.

rooskie, make all the registries! Most give you completion discounts when it's nearing your due date. Last time I did a public registry on Amazon and BRU, then a private one on Target and put things like nursing bras and milk storage bags and laundry detergent - things I needed to buy anyway, and waited for my 20% off coupons to purchase them.

Rooskie it doesn't hurt to start it. We didn't until after our AS with DD and still had plenty of time. We didn't have people that would buy our car seats, so another good tip is to keep an eye out on Amazon Prime Day. I got both of our britax covertibles for less than any coupon and in store sales. It might be worth doing the research now, and knowing what you want, but if it's a great deal that day, I'd buy it and there are other big ticket items for ppl to buy.

Afm, we had a 2 yo bday party yesterday that DD had fun at. We are dog sitting so trying to get that old dog trained to potty in the mulch and not the grass. Today we ran to the beach for an hr and now DD is napping. I'm devouring a bag of edamame

I had the worst heartburn last night. Nothing I did would make it go away and I had to sleep sitting up. Usually I can take Zantac and it helps. Last night it did nothing. Anyone else suffering from terrible heartburn/indigestion? Is there something other than Zantac you are taking? I have a doctors appointment in two weeks so I may neeed to talk to my doctor about this. I had acid reflux with N but never this bad.

Sorry sarahandben108, that sounds so uncomfortable. No heartburn here (yet...knock on wood), so I have no advice, other than a snoogle helps a lot with sleeping sitting up and still feeling secure.

We had a nice weekend. Some errands, pool time with friends, new baby time with other friends. I even felt good enough to cook! All set for a Monday.

But I definitely needed something stronger than Zantac the other night.
