Ugh, I slept like shit. Woke up at 1 with a stomach ache, I thought it was CD1 but my cowokers think I need to take a pregnancy test. I'm super nauseous, have been exhausted for 2-3 weeks, and am 3 weeks late. I am 99.9% sure I am not pregnant but I think I will stop on my way home anyway. Timing isn't ideal with everything going on with JP's dad but it would also be nice not to have to do another embryo transfer to get KU. pootsen LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!! IT WASN’T ME! quinn started it with her reckless dreams!

My best friend from ages 12-16 died over the weekend. They aren't sure what caused it yet. I am utterly heartbroken. My hometown has had it really rough the last year. Ugh. The boys were both in a great mood this morning, so that helped. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I’m sorry roloma. One of my childhood friends passed away last year and I still can’t believe it. I hope you find comfort in your memories.

Sending you hugs roloma. I'm so sorry laurensc927 keep us posted! I can't believe we're so far past a year now and no one has gotten knocked up yet. It really is surprising. quinn, we may seriously be super close neighbors this summer. We stumbled into a new build neighborhood in Hilton yesterday and we might be sold on building there. So very close to you!

Sorry for your loss roloma. Losing old friends always makes us feel more mortal. Hoo boy, that voodoo works quick laurensc927! Sorry if you're not KU, and I hope you start feeling better soon either way! I was home today, took a snow day because DD's daycare was closed. DH was home too, but he needed to borrow my car in the afternoon to go see his dad anyway, so no point in going in for half the day? I've done about 4 hours from home at least. It snowed another 3 inches or so this afternoon, and I'm just too lazy to look outside and see if it's still snowing, but tomorrow will probably be the same. To be clear I live in place where we can go a whole winter without snow and many years in a row with negligible amounts of it, so we're not cut out for this! My work never really takes a stance on it and it's super annoying. Basically all of the VP level people don't come into the office, today my manager and myself both stayed home, and so the little people (and usually me too) are like wtf is going on? Can anyone say if it's okay to go home early or stay home or what?! And there's no one there to say anything.

I should also mention I'm going a bit stir crazy. Today we got out for a bit before lunch. After lunch/nap it started snowing too heavily to go outside and it wasn't really worth driving anywhere and DH had my good 4x4 anyway. DD was good, but we both got bored!

Well the voodoo of buying a pregnancy test worked and I got my period overnight lol. I'm ok, I honestly would have been happy either way. I will say, physically I feel so much better this morning and am happy that I wasn't coming down with some sort of bug. However, if that's what morning sickness feels like I don't know if I can handle it lol.

Ds2 didn't have any wake ups last night. 🙌 I am a little under the weather so a night of uninterrupted sleep is amazing. Still not feeling great today, but more rested at least. So I've been doing some contract work and one of the people I've been attempting to work with may be getting let go today. Working with the individual has been ... Challenging. Just hesitant to collaborate, not listening to needs/feedback of the group, ignoring supervisor requests, etc. I'm waiting to see how that all works out. I feel badly because I would have been more able to pick up the slack if I lived closer/had child care but it is what it is. 🤷 laurensc927 I had morning sickness with ds2 and I straight up just thought I had some awful stomach bug for like two months. I was really terrible at tracking my period though lol. With ds1, I only had a couple days of morning sickness.

I'm going to complain for a minute. My city and county did an awesome job with the snow, they plowed the neighborhoods and the highway was completely clear, until I hit the county line. The highway was crap, the on and off ramps weren't plowed and the main city streets were a mess too. The other county is huge and the city is too so they should have the funding to do a better job yet every single storm the roads are terrible.
Anyways, today I am thankful for 4wd and that daycare didn't close 😁

Oh look another snow day. They unprecedentedly closed the schools too. Nothing has happened yet though 🤔.
Yesterday I managed to deep clean my kitchen and bathroom during nap time. DS came home from school with a note saying he was quite emotional and difficult to settle all day. Umm yea He was up at 4am so no surprise. I put him to bed at 545 and he slept til 730 this morning. The girls were a different story. DD1 had a fever and complained her stomach hurt. So I dosed her and put her in our bed. I tried to sleep in her bed but DD2 was having none of that. Needless to say we’re all tired today and nap time needs to hurry up.
I had hopes of mopping my floors today but that’s not going to happen.

We have winter storm Destiny and another snow day for ds1 here. I swear, we only had like 1-2 snow days a year when I was a kid, this year he’s already had 4. I’m at work though - just thankful that I live close to my job!

Took the kids to the library to very quickly pick out some books. Ds2 bolted to the bathrooms and ds1 kept playing with baby boys. 🤷 I tried. I did successfully convince ds1 to stop talk for a couple heavenly minutes in the car ride home.

Made a gazillion sugar cookies today for DD’s preschool and DS1 grade 1 class. Finished that. Now I should clean the mess up but the bath is calling my name. DH took the older two out to a hockey game, N fell asleep as soon as I sat down to nurse him. So that was nice. So I have like 2 hours probably to myself and I really could clean, but I think I’ll pass for now.

It usually doesn't work, but I asked him if he could just stop talking until we got home. He lasted two minutes. He knows I've been sick so maybe that helped 🤷

Crossing my fingers daycare is open and I can go back to work. Today was good though actually. DD was in a good mood, we had some friends brave the snow to visit for brunch and then we went out for a walk with DD in the carrier on my back and DH did some more shoveling and I brushed off his car.
DD ate a bunch of gyoza tonight with rice and hoisin sauce for dipping. Maybe she'll be nice and full and sleep through again. She seems to be weaning all on her own too so that probably helps. She didn't nurse at all today, just once overnight. She'll ask once a day maybe and only half the time does she actually want it. I've even stopped offering before bed.

So many hugs, roloma. I'm so sorry. Hugs if you need them too, laurensc927. Hope you are feeling better today. N cried this morning at drop off - he doesn't usually so when he does it gets me. I'm sure he was fine after a few minutes... not sure what his deal was this morning. They moved his crib the other day and he's napped better there the last two days than he has the last few months. Wish they had done that earlier, but oh well. We don't have snow but my family in MA did. My SIL almost got stuck on the highway coming home early from work but she made it; my mom takes care of my nephew on Tuesdays so she wound up staying overnight there. We might get some on Tuesday, they're saying, but it's too early to tell.
