So my lead on a potential new job fell through, not the schedule or work environment I’m looking for. I’m a little bummed but things are always coming up.
Both kids got a ton of stuff from daycare for Valentine’s Day. One mom was very extra over the top Pinteresty. DH are hoping for a date night Saturday since we have yet to celebrate his birthday or our anniversary since life keeps getting in the way.

Guise...I got a faint but clear positive on a wondfo this morning! Totally not expected as it took us a year to get pregnant with DS (although DD was the second month trying). Hesitantly excited as we had two losses before DS. EDD would be end of October.
Of course we are right in the middle of listing our house and trying to move so 😳

Well my solo snow day working from home in a nice quiet house turned into a snow day for everyone. We are supposed to get 3-6 inches between 10am-2pm, but it started snowing before 9am. It is predicted to come down fast and heavy, immediately stick, and awful road conditions are predicted. All the schools cancelled before any snow fell and daycare's inclement weather policy is in effect (schools cancel = we can keep the boys home and get a comp day) and since I'm cheap we kept them home.

E and I are going to the library this afternoon, I'm hopeful that there are some kids for her to be afraid of there. (Not that I hope she will be afraid of them, she inherently will be, I hope there are other kids in general). Snapped this of my little scoocher  |

August Blooms H and I are wanting a date night Saturday too. Hopefully we both get one! Sorry the job fell through. doodlemommy eek! We are here for you - so exciting! I totally understand that hesitantly excited feeling. CoachTsWife we keep the girls home too on snow days... but we have to pay regardless. Hopefully you’ll get some time to yourself or you’re not stuck inside too long once it falls. cythe she’s adorable and I hope there were kids at the library to watch. Any mall play places or chick-fil-a play places around to frequent? They are germ factories for sure but also usually full of kids!

I stayed up to fold 4 baskets of laundry after getting the girls to bed. It was nice to catch up in my shows. My parents are coming down tomorrow so I’m hoping H and I can get a quick lunch and movie date out of it (I super promise my parents are only coming down to see the girls and maybe briefly us but much prefer getting the girls to themselves - they totally push us out the door on their visits!)

Helloooooo from the beach! It took us 3.5 hrs to get here (more traffic than usual), but snacks and iPads got the kids through it! LO is taking his afternoon nap on my lap while DS1 scopes out the resort grounds and takes a swim with my parents. We’re heading to a night market tonight - hope I find some cute stuff and tasty food! 👍

rebeccabunch thank you that helps! We will try more LEGO and play doh and such. doodlemommy yay so exciting! Hoping for a sticky bean for you guys! So our nanny will be out for at least a week because she messed up her knee 😬 Our agency is looking for a fill in. I feel bad for her mostly because she used up all her paid days off so, yikes. At least she has health insurance, she just got a policy. I mean I feel bad but also she had 12 days and used them mostly for vacation. 🤷♀️ The most annoying thing is having to reschedule all the kids classes like swimming and gymnastics and such.

Hi! I haven’t checked in in forever. Hope everyone enjoyed Valentine’s Day. We do nothing. I got the boys some little gifts and of course cards for school but that’s it.
I’m about to get ready for our date night tonight! I honestly cannot remember the last time H and I went out alone. This is our 2nd time with this babysitter and her first time watching DS1. I hope his neediness and nonstop talking doesn’t scare her off.

We were trying to remember our last meal together sans any kids and we think maybe August?? That’s ridiculous. So we’ve made an agreement to try for 1-2 a month now. |

I successfully got the girls down at the same time so I could nap too this afternoon. Parenting win! When it works out like this I feel like a super star.
For those of you with or who’ve had 4 yr olds.... when did they stop napping? DD1 will be 4 in two week. Daycare requires a nap (state law says under 5 has to nap I think? Or lay down?). DD1 alternates between needing a nap but also then stays up a lot later when she does nap and I’d kind of like the adult time H and I had going back.

danvers DS stopped napping around 3.5. They have quiet time at his preschool but most kids don’t nap. Can you imagine being given the opportunity to nap and not doing it????

danvers DS1 stopped napping once he got into the 4 yr old pre-k class. I think in the summer they gave them the option but of course none took it.

I wish my office had tomorrow as a holiday. At least it should be a light traffic day and the rest of the building is off, so easy parking in the garage!

I came down with a super sore throat today, I’m not feeling great and will be calling in sick tomorrow.
On the bright side I am binge watching a new show... if you like vampires and witches and sexy accents and beautiful European scenery then A Discovery of Witches is for you. I think it’s only available in the UK or in North America via possibly not legal means. I read the books but the show is good and so is Matthew Goode.
ETA It will be airing on AMC in April.

danvers DS1 stopped napping around 3.5. He would not be tired for bed 7:30pm if we let him nap, so we decided to drop it.

He was good in Leap Year with Amy Adams but hot damn he’s good in this show. |
