I'm here for a #3 flamingo if you do change sides! I hear you though on easier with two..having just traveled cross country relatively easily and starting to see the other side. I think the inability to get rid of things was a sign for us, but I'm already anxious to purge in a few years since I'm certain we are done after this. I also will have to stay in my job forever for the college benefits for kids😳. We are on track for in-state savings, but our in state options are kind of crappy...and if my kids can get into my Alma mater and want to go, they are going.

I sort of think that even if you are sure you are done, you might always have these little twinges once in awhile. Never in my life did I imagine having three children and as overwhelmed and more than through with babies I feel now, I still get crazy notions that I might like another every now and then. That would not be a good idea for a million reasons and logically I know it’s probably just my ovaries shriveling up and saying “fertilize these old eggs, you crone!”

I’m not sure who mentioned this upthread ( cagoldi?), but i will always want more kids. I usually get the itch when I see Charlie got a milestone or when one of you announced a pregnancy. We could deal with the chaos of more kids in the early stages (emotionally and financially), but we’ve settled into such a nice place with two, and I know mh worries about the situation I had after having Charlie. So we talk about it in waves, but I’m 99.9% sure, we’re finished. I do think about the future and will always kind of wish they will have more than just each other, but i also I know that having each other will also be enough (sorry I’m rambling).

Good morning! Lots of house stuff yesterday (boring adult stuff like the plumber, fixing doors knobs and talking about painting) that kept me so busy from checking in. We ran to Aldi in the afternoon, grabbed pizza out and then steeled in to watch tv. Got a text around 945 from our bank that there was suspicious activity on our account, so we had to call and they had to cancel our credit card. So annoying, but I am glad they’re on top of it.

MH and I had talked about going to the zoo today but now that I’m awake, I don’t want to go. It’s 50 out (don’t make fun of me) and I don’t want to be cold.

Morning!
The kids were up obscenely early. DH got up with them and then made us waffles and sausage for breakfast, bless him.
No plans today, other than a Walmart grocery pickup. I bought interior trim paint this week and might start redoing a few areas in the house (yes, I’m insane).

The previous owners did a terrible job with the trim (such a thin paint that even the lightest scrape up against it seems to make it to flake off. It’s also a very thin coat and if you look too closely you can see in the dark wood underneath. think I can start doing it slowly, but I want to make sure I have the right materials.

Morning. DH already left with Colin for the mountain so it's just Chase and me. We're going to make some birthday cards for DH but that's about it for our plans.
Also Chase stripped down again this morning, including his diaper, and peed into his mattress. I need to duct tape his PJs on, apparently.

guster if it is flaking off you may have to sand it first to get any loose pieces before you paint. Otherwise, whatever you paint on may flake off too.

Egg casserole in the oven for brunch (I slept in). I'm hoping there is some leftover to make breakfast burritos for the week.
We have ice on the roads so I probably won't get the swim in that I had hoped. Hopefully we can entertain ourselves again inside today

inthekitty I have considered foster to adopt starting next year but I get creeped out because they have a webpage that is basically a catalog of kids to take home. But of we did we would want a school she kid and would need to wait until SDs room is available. Of course I haven't actually mentioned any of this DH

Before kids, I thought three was my number. After having M2, I want to be done, but I probably won’t make my final decision until he is 4-5 years old. I do not enjoy pregnancy at all. If someone else could have my baby, I would probably be very much into a third in a few years.

I would love to have a 3rd kid except it would end my marriage and I don’t have a ton of support out here and I feel bad when I ask my parents to come out here and help. I also think LO would riot. While he loves his sister I think he’s starting to get upset that the world doesn’t revolve around just him.
So we are two and through.
I do like the snuggly newborn stage but I love the stage E is in now. She is showing her personality a lot more and discovering new things each day. We’ve been having “conversations” as well. It brings back so many memories of LO and how much I loved this stage with him as well.

Sorry I haven’t been around much. work sucks. If I don’t get this promotion I will be asking for something else from the bigger boss. My team treats me like an admin but I’m not. I’m more of a project manager then they are but they won’t let me do it.

I'm being a petty Betty over here. The boy in Cadence's swim class already advanced to the next level. I saw him swim yesterday and he was doing the same as Cadence, but the coach fawned all over him, telling him how great he was doing and giving him high fives, whereas with the 2 girls (Cadence plus another girl) he was just like you need to do this and that and blah blah blah. No good jobs for them. Then I see the post yesterday evening that the boy advanced. I'm pissed that he was in this level for a shorter time than Cadence, but if I were his parents I would say, nope, he's not ready. The coach is still practically on top of them at this stage, whereas the next level, they are basically on their own. They aren't ready for that. I'm thinking of putting her at a different school.

It’s also a very thin coat and if you look too closely you can see in the dark wood underneath. think I can start doing it slowly, but I want to make sure I have the right materials. I did every inch of woodwork in our last house so I have lots of experience. 😂 You’d definitely want a good paint in a semi-gloss finish. Two coats for sure. I’ve tried several and my absolute favorite brush for trim is this one: www.homedepot.com/p/Wooster-2-in-Shortcut-Polyester-Angle-Sash-Brush-0Q32110020/100357411I don’t find trim painting hard, per se, it’s just tedious and time-consuming. I usually sand any rough spots, and if needed use wood filler and then sand again for any egregious dents, chips, etc. If it was stain-grade wood underneath (sounds like that’s the case), you’ll probably need to prime with something meant for that to prevent bleed-through (Kilz is a good brand); otherwise dark spots will eventually make their way to the surface. Then do two coats of your trim paint over the primer.

Morning, err, afternoon. We were going to go to a museum but then got lazy by the time I got ready. We FINALLY putt he rug down in our room and I ironed the bedskirt. Now I'm searching for a new duvet cover bc our one from our wedding has yellowed on the white stripe portion. It had a good run, but almost a decade old. We also desperately need a new mattress but I don't need to give the credit card a breather for a few months.
Need to get outside this afternoon, I haven't left the house all weekend!

C got up at 5:45 bawling because the sitter promised to wake him when we got home last night and she didn’t. I tried to go back to sleep but every 20mins he would call for me for annoying reasons.
Dh is doing some fundraiser walk in Boston for his work but should be home around 2, which is when I plan to nap. C and I went to ninja class, McDonald’s, and are now lounging on the couch. He just asked me to take his temperature because he feels warm and not well. He’s acting normal and his temp was normal so let’s hope this isn’t the start of something.

Today’s agenda more laundry and dishes to be washed. LO and I already made banana bread (I try and have him help me make something each weekend to try and give him somewhat one on one attention.). Went to the grocery store for the two things I couldn’t get at Target yesterday. Dinner is in the crockpot so moving right along with things.
