armpants glad he's doing better. If you didn't want to walk into the daycare raging (metaphorically) you could take the scolding approach where you highlight their inadequatices and how they have let you down in a big way. It might help them be more attentive to the other kids that are still there and may be more likely to give you your money back. You hired them to care for your child, an unreported concussion is not in line with that. They need to do better for the safety of other kids. Sorry for the novel.

Up and at 'em. Birthday party this morning at an indoor playplace, but it's an hour away. Need to go grocery shopping since I slept in yesterday and skipped it - but A is still sleeping so I hate to wake her up.

Does anyone know if it is an Islamic holiday? Everyone near the mosque near me looks extra dressed up. Lots of pretty dresses. It looks like something celebratory!

The kids are fighting and it isn't even 8 am yet.
Monstrous amounts of cleaning this morning, then a playdate in the afternoon.
I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday!

taketheshot your friend and me are twins. I did something similar. Mani and pedis at a place that also served drinks then lunch. I wasn't (still aren't) into clubs or bar hopping either. It was totally fine in my book! I've always been happiest hanging at home with friends instead of "going out"

I can not stop thinking about how badass wonder woman was. Seriously! See it! I am so happy that young girls have this kick superhero. There's so many male superheroes. And I'm so glad my boys get to see a girl kicking some ass

It is a huge holiday for Muslims called Eid. It signifies the end of Ramadan and the end of fasting. This year's Ramadan included the longest days of the year, so many people have been fasting for 17-ish hours a day. It is nice of you to notice

Yes, Eid is a big deal! I have some Muslim students and one of them told me a lot about it last year. jedi, one of the few times E slept through the night before 18 months was when my sister watched him in the evening and put him to bed. She thinks he was traumatized and didn't want her coming in there during the night, so he never cried/really woke up. Oh my goodness, I feel so good today. I don't have the cloudy haze of nausea that has been enveloping me for about 2 weeks. It is so weird, I feel like my head is so clear. I am also kind of freaking out about it because the nausea is kind of like a friendly reminder that things are going as they should. I am going to assume it is because we've had 2 nights of decent sleep though. I do have an u/s scheduled for Wednesday, so that should help keep me calm.

Good news, I documented my first pregnancy pretty well on a different (non-pregnancy/baby) forum that is very search-friendly and I went back and looked at all my posts with "nausea" in them....looks like this pregnancy is right on point with E's. I wrote that the nausea was debilitating from 6-7 weeks, but then it was more hit or miss. I'll be 8 weeks on Tuesday, so this is fitting pretty much the same pattern! I hope that is the case. It makes me feel better at least.

That's awesome easternshoregirl! That's amazing that you were so thorough with your documentation— so smart! And I hope your u/s is also able to relieve any anxiety.

Tried the zoo today. We actually have one about 45 min from us that's free. It was fun and the boys loved it. Both are passed out as we're driving home.
We're going to chill the rest of the day/evening. I'll probably start doing some laundry.

I've been napping all day. Just completely wiped out for some reason. Did our grocery shopping, picked veggies in the garden (sugar snap peas, radishes, grape tomatoes, and strawberries), and now sitting on the hammock while h does yard work and the kids play. Gorgeous weather this weekend here!

I just signed E up for gymnastics! She has a trial class on Tuesday to see if she likes it.
Right now the girls are with my mom. DH is putting E's crib back together while I supervise and study.

I just went on a massive IG following spree.. I basically went down layloo's friends list and requested all of the familiar A15 names. No hard feelings if you don't want to accept my request!

I can't wait to put M in gymnastics. Or county offers a 4/5 week class that is $35, but they have to be 2. So I'll sign him up for the next class that starts after he's 2.

I beat the rain and got another day at the water park today! The kids again were wiped when we were done. Early bedtimes all around. I'd say solo kid weekend went well!
It's been quiet on here, everyone must be having a busy weekend. Hoping everyone's enjoying their Sunday!

Hey everyone! I am back from my weekend away with my friend. It was so great to catch up. She lives in such a beautiful community with with a 10 minute walk to this: . I wish we lived there too! On the way home I drove into a storm and took this picture I swear I don't normally look at my phone while driving, but it was pretty bizarre to look ahead and see storm, but gorgeous blue skies in the rear view mirror.

coconutbacon and armpants I'm stil pretty meh about my hair. I am trying to grow it out so the cut is nothing special, but the colour is kinda whatever for me...it's definitely not blonde/brown like it was, but I know it will lighten.poofPDQ

armpants I'm so sorry that happened to M. I would be livid! GL with you conversation tomorrow. I hope you are able to find care you feel comfortable with. My good friend has had a rough go with her childcare lately as well, and I feel so bad for her. I have been there with DS1 and am glad so far I haven't had issues with DS2's provider. He is switching to a childcare centre near my work in a week. We start visits tomorrow, so we will see how that goes.

redandblue, I think the cut and color look great! But, I understand being disappointed if it's not what you were envisioning. I hope as it grows and lightens you end up loving it!
