Happy birthday pootsen! Hugs snuff9861. Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute. What's been going on with everyone? I've missed you guys, someone give me the cliff notes please. For me, let's see, H is walking a ton, not talking a ton, he loves to fake sneeze, and finally learned to give kisses. In other news my brother knocked up his ex girlfriend and FIL was diagnosed with cancer. So lots going on over here. congrats on the new niece or nephew. How is your brother dealing with that? Sorry to hear about your FIL

Sorry to hear about your FIL It will be a nephew in April. I'm super excited because I didn't think H would have any cousins, my brother on the other hand wants a paternity test. However he announced to my parents on Christmas that they were going to be grandparents again so I'm pretty sure it's his.

Just got back to work, I ran home to go to an oncologist appt with MH and FIL so I could get a better grasp of what's going on. I think I'm going to crash the appt with the primary Friday too. MH's gone tonight at an expo so I'm solo with the kiddo.

I have only given E utensils (spoon) at the end of her meal to play with. She gets it in her mouth fine, but I don't think scooping is there yet as she tends to turn the spoon upside down when handling it. I guess I need to bite the bullet and let her try with food: she'll soon learn how to do it that way, greedy monster! I am completely zombied today: we were up at 3 with baby girl coughing and I didn't really fall back asleep after that as we took her into our bed and when she wasn't coughing, she was kung-fuing me... I managed to get an appointment at 17.15 today so at least we'll get her seen and I can leave early. It’s mostly just been with his spork where I poke things, or scoop things like applesauce and hand it to him. I haven’t given them empty to him and have him poke it himself. I was surprised how quickly he picked up on putting the utensils with food in his mouth.

My kids actually all slept decently last night. Preschool drop off was a disaster. I finally handed my daughter and her shoes she wouldn’t put on to her teacher and said “I think it’s your turn”. She laughed and said of course. And carried her away. As I peeked in the door, she is happily laughing and Putting on her shoes. Perfect. That’s why they’re magical humans. Finished some grocery shopping. Cleaned the kitchen. Drinking hot coffee. N is walking around the coffee table singing to himself and it’s rhe cutest. I see we have the same toddler. 😒

Sorry about your FIL laurensc927 , I'm here. I took some nightquil last night and now I feel like a zombie today. NyQuil always makes me feel like crap the next morning. This last cold I actually just kept on taking DayQuil capsules before bed and that worked much better.

Ds1 threw a tantrum in the car and C had to chime in with his sympathy crying/screeching. It was a 20 minute ride home and my head is killing me.

I need to do a better job introducing utensils. I just let him have at it with his hands. I gave ds2 a fork a couple weeks ago and he just used it to fling food off his plate 🤦

We have something similar. I haven't done it yet and probably won't until he completely outgrows the highchair. I feel like he's contained better in the highchair lmao.

It's been a day here. The kids are their normal but this person at my work is making me absolutely insane. Just like moving files around and generally not listening to me (or her supervisor) about tasks we are supposed to collaborate on. I have a ton of experience doing this type of project and she does not, yet she's not willing to listen or learn it seems.
Ds1 had his first play therapy session today and he said he liked it. I just frame it as he gets to play with miss so-and-so. She said he did awesome but generally won't say anything specific unless there's some really major concerns that pop up. I enjoyed the one on one play time with ds2 during the appointment lol.

I plan on transitioning after ds3 learns to fucking stay seated in his chair at mealtimes. I've tried taking him out of the booster but he always gets up when he doesnt like his food (ie everytime) so I have to strap his ass down. I'm not buying 2 boosters. So AJ will get ds3's when ds3 gets his shit together

We did, but we just use a cheap booster that clips to a regular chair.

Utensils. C loves using them but she makes the worst mess and I hate it. But she'll snatch them from you and if you try to not let her use them she gets really mad.
In weird news though, she's like, basically potty training..? Anything E does she HAS TO DO and she started by sitting on the little potty after E would go. Then one night before bath time she sat down while naked and peed. And now she will just wander into the bathroom on her own and I go in and take off her diaper and she just goes. I'm totally flabbergasted by it. I mean she still wears a diaper and uses that like 95% of the time, but my guess is by 18m I can have this kid day trained and I'm freaking pumped it.
She's a ridiculous blabbermouth too.
As for me, my job is slowly killing me. It's so hard right now. I'm so tired.

We have a booster that clips on a regular chair that we used for DS1. N decided he prefers that so I guess DS1 got promoted to a regular chair. We had a high chair that clipped on the table before so it isn’t a huge change. He does fine strapped in the booster.

cnf you mean there's hope that ds2 won't be as much of a nightmare to potty train as ds1 was?! And that's awesome. Potty training is the absolute worst.

E decided to hang out for about 2 hours in the middle of the night and for some reason, I wanted to punish myself so I got up with him.

C woke up at 3am screaming and sobbing with a fever. Half my teaching team has dropped with the pukes this week so couldn't justify staying home. She was at 102.5 when I left and just crying for her blanket and to lay on me. Ugh.

In the continuing saga of sickness in my house I had the lovely privilege of doing laundry and showering off ds1 after a puke incident. He went to bed saying his tummy hurt but didn't puke until 2am. Of course, ds2 woke at that time to eat but sorry dude- puke sheets take precedent. I'm tired!!
At least ds1 seemed back to himself this morning so hopefully it was just a one off and no one else gets it. I have my first night away from both kids planned for Saturday and for my mental sanity cannot miss it.

We toured a potential new school for ds1. He was a bit insane and she just rolled with it so that helped me feel comfortable. Lol. He said that he liked it and that he wants to go there. We shall see. But I almost cried a couple times because the teachers, staff, and students were just so nice to him. And that is so different from his last school.
Dh has his job interview today. So I have all of my fingers and toes crossed. Same company that he interviewed with a couple months ago, but different job/department with a salary similar to what he is currently making.
