Happy birthday pootsen! Hugs snuff9861. Hi everyone! It's been a hot minute. What's been going on with everyone? I've missed you guys, someone give me the cliff notes please. For me, let's see, H is walking a ton, not talking a ton, he loves to fake sneeze, and finally learned to give kisses. In other news my brother knocked up his ex girlfriend and FIL was diagnosed with cancer. So lots going on over here.

DS’s homework from dc was to work on him feeding himself with utensils. He does it well for awhile, so proud of himself, and then he starts throwing them. I forgot how much I hate this phase. Also so many tantrums. He screeches like crazy. I wish he would sign more; that is our fault for not working on it as much as we did with DD. He also just wants to walk everywhere, but not on his own. Just holding our hand and tries dragging me along. N does fairly well feeding himself - sometimes with utensils. Other times just with his hands. But whole we were on vacation my MIL spoon fed him every meal for 8 days. Guess who no longer wants to feed himself. 🙄 Yeah he’s been feeding himself with his hands for months. I don’t know if they just want to work towards cleaner eating. 🤷🏼♀️ That’s super annoying about now how he won’t feed himself. Come on MIL!

Hang in there snuff9861, counselling is a good thing!! Jojo does okay with utensils, she's a pretty tidy eater in general. I think daycare probably curses me because I send rice a couple times a week, but it's a guarantee she'll eat it. They never really give me any constructive criticism, so I assume everything is okay.

snuff9861 I'm sorry. Was this completely out of left field? I think so but communication is not his strong point so to him it probably is not.

Just had the worst dental hygienist. Not only did she not stop talking, she was rough. My mouth is killing me.

I'm sorry snuff9861. I'm still catching up so ignore me if you have answered this, but it seems like it came as a surprise- has he shown any interest in counseling before? I'm sorry about your FIL laurensc927.

I haven't really given utensils, although maybe I should try. She definitely understands the idea, because she uses the little spoon and spatula that came with her play house thing. Which is very adorable.

I have only given E utensils (spoon) at the end of her meal to play with. She gets it in her mouth fine, but I don't think scooping is there yet as she tends to turn the spoon upside down when handling it. I guess I need to bite the bullet and let her try with food: she'll soon learn how to do it that way, greedy monster!
I am completely zombied today: we were up at 3 with baby girl coughing and I didn't really fall back asleep after that as we took her into our bed and when she wasn't coughing, she was kung-fuing me... I managed to get an appointment at 17.15 today so at least we'll get her seen and I can leave early.

Morning! We got a lot of ice but thankfully the roads were not too bad. I know there are some power outages but thankfully not for us.
For those of us battling sickness I have to strongly recommend drinking Tazo Passion tea. It's like magic. The doctor I saw last week recommended it but I didn't try it until yesterday, I swear there is a huge difference in how I'm feeling.
IRT silverware, I give ds2 a spoon and small amount of food and he does pretty good until he gets impatient and just starts using his hands or tipping the bowl up to his face lol.

Hugs, snuff9861. So sorry about your FIL, laurensc927. I haven't even thought about introducing utensils. N's just started eating most of what gets put in front of him - one thing at a time LOL. Though I imagine we will need to start soon. I'll ask DC when they usually start having kids use their own. Exhausted because N took forever to settle last night and of course H didn't get home from work until 9, so I got a later start on my cake than I wanted to. Good news is I showed the color scheme to H and he correctly guessed it was V-Tech colors (my boss is an alumni, it's her birthday today), so the rush order of maroon food coloring was well spent

My kids actually all slept decently last night. Preschool drop off was a disaster. I finally handed my daughter and her shoes she wouldn’t put on to her teacher and said “I think it’s your turn”. She laughed and said of course. And carried her away. As I peeked in the door, she is happily laughing and Putting on her shoes. Perfect. That’s why they’re magical humans.
Finished some grocery shopping. Cleaned the kitchen. Drinking hot coffee. N is walking around the coffee table singing to himself and it’s rhe cutest.
