School has been canceled. Snow day!! ⛷
There's not much snow but a lot of ice. I'm more than happy to hibernate today. I've got a puzzle calling me.

Morning. All the kids seemed good today so everyone is back to school. Sunny41 the crash was fairly close to my dad’s house in Yorba Linda. When I was in junior high, there was a plane that was also going to Fullerton airport that crashed into an apartment up the street from us.

Ds just threw up again, 5 minutes before bedtime. I worried sick, he looks like one of those starving children in a camp or something. I’m taking him in tomorrow. Not sure what they can do.

My energy level is way low today. I still hurt, on and off, from my slip last week, and I’m sure I didn’t do myself any favors by sleigh riding with Josie yesterday. I’m trying to make three very small changes in my diet this week. Im focused on a less carb-y breakfast, upping my water with one extra travel mug, and only green tea after my one cup of coffee (hello, reason for low energy!)

I’m so sorry. It’s so hard to watch them be sick. Anecdotal: My best friend’s son has been going through the same thing since Friday morning. Her husband took him in this morning, and he tested positive for strep although nothing in his throat hurts him. I had no idea vomiting was a symptom of strep.

Hi all. It’s an ice rink here, too. Preschool was cancelled again and poor N “just wants to learn, it’s not fair!” Lol. And it’s looking like it might be canceled again Wednesday if we get the snow they’re predicting.
I’m in a funk. Dh is being weird about a friendship that has changed. (You may recall several stories of a toxic friend of mine). Well, he thinks I need to “make it right” but there’s really nothing to be done at this point. We are cordial, but our friendship has drifted and it is what it is. I’m just having a hard time processing it when he keeps butting in with his opinions.

Hi all. Busy morning here. I had MOPS first thing and took a casserole so I was busy with that til lunchtime, then had just a few minutes to grab a bite to eat and get the car washed before school pickup. Kids are now happily coloring while I try and tidy up the kitchen (see: Sisyphus pushing the boulder up the mountain).

I saw pics of the house, it did not look good. I asked DH his thoughts and he said to crash into a house in that type of aircraft, something catastrophic must have happened b/c that is one of the easiest planes to 'glide' in for extended periods if it was just like, engine failure or something. I haven't read yet today to see if there is any new info.

One of my spreadsheets just deleted all of it's notes. Like years and years of notes on locations of all the files. Our offsite IT guy said he would take a look at the backups shortly. Who knows when that will be. Meanwhile, I'm having a panic attack over it. If he can't get them back, then I'm going to have to go page by page through the hard files and re-input all of it. I am not pleased.

For water, I drink 16oz as soon as I get out of bed every morning. Then I drink another 16oz after each cup of coffee on the weekends or before I leave the house during the day. That way I know I have at least 32oz down first thing in the day.

I do a protein shake with almond milk most days, too.
I liked Garden of Life but recently stared using Golden Ratio because it’s a little higher protein and has collagen. Unfortunately, it’s $$$.

Hey! I was up super late last night cleaning. Waking up this morning wasn’t fun. Then while H was at school I vacuumed and then picked up S’s room. My house is looking great. I finally heard back from my doctor this morning and my levels went back down so we start again. She does want to see me and discuss what is going on though so I scheduled an appt for wed afternoon. I am currently laying on the couch while S is napping and H is having quiet time downstairs. A friend and her kids are coming over to play in the next 30-60 minutes so I’m relaxing while I can. She has a 2 month old that I plan to hold/snuggle most of the time they’re here. nam2013 that doesn’t sound good. I hope the doctor has some answers/treatment for him. tgrimes I’m sorry H isn’t feeling well still. kim22 fx you find one you love!

Madison learned to braid. I'm finding half braided scraps of yarn all over the house.

My breakfast for well over the last month has been a fat free Greek yogurt with a couple of tablespoons of steel cut oats, some olive oil, a drop of agave and a pinch of salt. My new choices will be between 2 hard boiled eggs and berries or berries and an avocado with a baked egg inside, or an orange with plain Greek yogurt. I have the world’s best water bottle. It’s 32 ounces, and has a straw, so I go through two very easily, plus i make a ton of cups of hot water throughout the day. I want to make sure I get three full in each day.

I'm so sorry, nam2013. This is crazy - they need to test him and figure out what's up. Sending better vibes to you guys too, lfig and tgrimes. guster - I'm paying attention to this convo as well, as my normal oatmeal breakfast no longer makes sense when I'm not running 40-50 miles per week. I've been sticking with eggs (scrambled if I'm home, hard boiled when I'm heading to the office) because they pop up on all the lists of foods to eat for bone health, but I'm already bored.

The house I loved online was everything I dreamt it would be- and also allegedly I’m attorney review (though DH is calling their bluff). We saw a lot of I interesting things like a random shower with just a curtain in a hallway but we saw a few with potential. A lot of what we liked with indoor space was lacking the outdoor space we were hoping for so we have some thinking to do.

We found a couch. Then We went to the furniture store right up the street from us and they will price match and throw in delivery. Score. This is it but not this configuration. Where that cuddler is itll be a straight loveseat. It has the clean lines and super comfy but not that over stuffed look. We also found a bed. I'm still mulling on that over the weekend but I think we're going to go purchase Saturday. They locked both prices in for us so I can think.

Thankfully, we dodged that one. She’s looking pretty good at DC.
