It will fit the space well. And the chaise, couch, love seat configuration is what we want. But we wouldn't get that ottoman. It was just way to big. We're not buying today but trying to figure out what we want. We also need a bed for us, which we dont agree on at all. And a TV stand for the living room. It’s a very plush couch. Have you looked at Ashley furniture yet? This is Ashley. We've been in their store but not lately. But I dont want to pay their prices.

Glad B liked basketball. flamingo Hope the little girl just likes hotels or it’s just a temporary situation. peachsmama Yeah, I don’t love it, but it’s not horrible. Maybe you could look at it like a “now” couch and opt for something more your style once the kids are a bit older. I am counting down the years until I can get rid of our couch. The whole ‘can’t have nice things right now’ is how I am approaching most of my desires now. My boys are so rough with everything.

I ended up not going to the birthday party. MH insisted he take them solo so I could do whatever I wanted. Bless him. I threw some things in the wash and headed out to the car wash. I’ll probably head to Dillard’s in a few to check out the sale. I probably shouldn’t, but I want to check out the kids shoes. I like to grab the next size up on sale if I can.

Looks like practicing out of the water helped somewhat. She's still having trouble taking side breaths though. She's trying hard.

Ugh. I got an email from Netflix that the email associated with my account changed. I did not do that, nor did DH so it looks like I got hacked. Apparently you can’t just email them, you have to call them. Annoying.

Which is cheap for such a large piece. It is really comfortable.

I really don't want to spend the $$ right now, so Im hoping it can last a little while longer. Our sofa is only 4 years old.

Yeah, when they called Netflix to see what was up, someone in south America had logged into the account and changed my settings. They said the account owner would have to call in to change it, which they did...but it was a PITA.

Sofas take a beating so IMO it is better to buy something of at least decent quality that will stand up to wear and tear. That doesn't mean super luxe or crazy, high-maintenance fabric, just a sturdy frame, well-made cushions and durable upholstery. With a finite budget, I'd put my money in the pieces you're using the most and do less expensive side tables, accessories, etc. Just my .02 having seen a lot of homes and furniture over the years

Of the big national retailers, Haverty's makes a great sofa at a more moderate price-point; not sure how far west they go, though. Bassett is very good, they're a bit higher. Ashley has a wider range of product and I think you have to be a bit pickier with them because of that but there are some good lines there, for sure. eta: One thing I always recommend is to go to multi-line furniture stores, so you can really test and compare product lines. You see what extra money will (or won't) get you in terms of quality, options, etc. Sam Moore and Bernhardt are two common names to look at there. Bernhardt can get higher if you get into custom but they offer a lot of 'marriages' (set fabrics, etc) for a lower price, and you're getting great quality. Also, I have heard good things about LazyBoy (LaZBoy?), both from friends who have product from there and from industry publications; they have definitely upped their game in recent years and offer a more stylish product in addition to the 'comfort'/motion lines.

flamingo My son always says his friend lives in a hotel which is actually a condo building. That is different than the actual child saying it, but I am hoping it's something along those lines. Would also keep an eye on things. @peachsmana I think Ashley has a pretty inexpensive 5 year warranty for wear and tear on thier couches that you can purchase. I have to check it out because one of our cushions is cracking and peeling and they assured me that would be covered. I'll keep you posted on how that plays out.

It was 50 degrees out when I got off work! As soon as I got home I put rain boots on everyone (because puddles) and we went for a long walk around the neighborhood. So nice! Too bad it’s going to be freezing cold and snowing again this week.

Yes. I dont like how low to the ground all of theirs sit. Sometimes you can change the height of the legs of the couch. We did that with our bed.

We have a store to go to Monday when it's just A and I and I'm hoping to find something that matches what we want with more style like I like.

Pizza for us too flamingo. I picked it up from Papa Murphy's. I haven't eaten much today so I can't wait to dig in.

I think our end tables are Bassett. I got our couch from slumberland in 2014 and it’s already falling apart. But I knew it wasn’t a quality piece when I bought it, $500 for a bonded leather reclining couch. I want a new sofa so bad but it has to wait.

DH ordered the pizza promptly so I didn't have to nag, and we are still happily married.
B came in shortly after mH placed the order and was like, "Remember last time when we got pizza and you and daddy were yelling? I didn't like that." Memory like a steel trap, that one! He ate his pizza tonight happily enough so hopefully no PTSD as a result, lol.

I called Netflix and it wasn’t too big of a deal to get my account fixed. I had to use a different email though which is annoying.

peachsmama we got the Ikea vimle couch and are impressed. We got the ottoman to go with as a coffee table. I think it was $850 with delivery.

My in laws picked up the kids. An hour later I get a text that Hayden has a temp of 101.
Great.
MH took the kids to the park and Costco while I was gone. Somehow M fell backward in the parking lot and has a huge goose egg on the back of her head. He said it was like she fainted or something.
WTF is wrong with my kids?

Digiorno for us, so fancy. Kids are both insane, it's like they can't behave when they're together.
DH is giving me a hard time about walking around in the boot a bit even though he was there when the doctor said I could as soon as it wasn't uncomfortable. He's acting like I'm about to go run on it, meanwhile I'm still sitting around with my foot up most of the time. He acted similarly when I was pregnant despite me never going overboard. Grrrr...
ETA: the bone I fractured is not a weight-bearing bone, hence the doctor letting me walk in the boot

Your husband will survive flamingo but mine won’t. He wanted takeout from a nice Italian place 20 mins away. He just got home with it and there’s no pasta with the chicken parm! He never checks the damn bags. ETA: and we have no pasta to cook in the house.

I don't want the back super far back Even on a normal depth, I can't touch the floor.. so I prefer it deep so my legs stick out straight like a kid rather than dangle lol.
