I hope all the sick kiddos and Moms are on the mend soon.
DH left with Colin to ski so I'm home with a sniffley and whiney Chase. AF came this morning and interrupted my sleep, so I'm a bit grumpy myself. But DH is taking Colin straight to his school's winter carnival, so I can at least sleep during Chase's nap.
I've been hobbling around the house mostly crutch-free today with no pain. It's amazing how much easier life is with hands.

Morning! S and I went to dinner with some friends last night. We stayed 3 hours and visited and S was soooo good. It was amazing!
But this morning I’m feeling a little off. I took my BP and is was suuuuuper high (152/128). So I’m just kinda chillin for now and going to take it again in a bit to see if it was just a bad reading maybe. I tend to run high (150/105 isn’t uncommon for me) but I’ve never had the bottom number that high before. I may need a med adjustment.

Morning! Sitting at breakfast waiting for my sister. We had 8 am breakfast plans after I dropped DS off at track practice, and in true my sister form she will show up close to 9. That's ok, I'm enjoying my coffee on my own and catching up here ☺️

Lying in bed watching oomi zoomi. We slept late, so we're skipping gymnastics because we don't have enough time to get ready and get there on time. Oh well.
We have swim later and I was practicing with her the other night, so hopefully class goes well.

Oh no nam2013. Hope he feels better soon. We’re on day four! I feel so guilty that there’s nothing I can do to make him feel better. Since he doesn’t even like food on his best days, he’s refusing all food now 😔. I’m sorry. If he has the same bug M had, he started to feel better on day 5. Hope he starts to turn a corner soon.

slenle are they ice fishing, I take it? Yes! Normally I wouldn’t be thrilled about the kids going out, but with the temps this week, the ice is solid. And today will be in the 30s so they should enjoy it. Dh might take the kids early and I’ll run some errands since I’m not much of a fisher Fun! I mean, if you like fishing and the cold, lol. I bet the kids will love it! People ice-fish on our lake up in ME but we’ve never tried it.

Morning! We’re lounging around until we have to get ready to go to a birthday party. Not sure what all is on the agenda after that. I need to grocery shop at some point and maybe hit the gym.
My friend’s birthday was Thursday so I may see if she wants to get out to do something tonight since MH can stay with the kids.

Morning ladies! No real plans here this weekend. I need to meal plan, which is hard since H *might* be gone again all week.
One of thr dogs woke us up growl-barking in the middle of the night. When I finally came to, it sounded like something/one was knocking on the side of our house. It didnt worry me enough to look at the clock or get out of bed, but was weird. I told H, no more watching Purge movies before bed. I checked with our neighbor and she said she thinks she heard something too, but also doesn't know what time.

As long as he’s drinking, alert and his breathing is normal, they see no cause for concern.

Do you have a ring doorbell you could watch video from last night?

Morning time. We are at the gate a solid 2 hours early and now having breakfast. Checking in with carseats is such a chore Mh thinks I should sit with both kids and him across the aisle from us🤔. Last time we each had a kid. I guess they can both watch the iPad this way and both have declared they want to sit with me, so I guess it makes a bit of sense.

Sunny41 we are trying plae shoes finally! J's Sauconys legit has the sole flapping off the bottom so we ran through Nordstrom last night and recommended these based on my criteria of Velcro, not Nike, and sturdy. Hoping they hold up for the price! I also had him in a size 2 and he's apparently a 13, whoops! He claims he loves them so far...if so I will be stalking the Nordstrom sale this summer when they go on sale.

Do you have a ring doorbell you could watch video from last night? I looked at it, but our Ring picks up so much. And with the sound coming from the side of the house, we dont have a camera over there. I didn't see anything on the videos I watched, neither did H, so Im sure it was nothing. But we will be going outside to make sure nothing looks weird on that side of the house.

Good day all, from the freezer. It’s so cold and snowing like a mother effer.
Yesterday was an impromptu day off for MH and I so we sent the kids off; ran some errands, had a nice lunch out, meal planned, grocery shopped and putzed around the house.
Today we’re just hibernating with Paw Patrol and Lego. Maybe some baking and/or cooking this afternoon.

I bought 2 of each size up to size 3 when they had the black Friday sale. They really do hold up. I was just thinking about my pair this week and I wish they were machine washable otherwise they are perfect. Also get on bst page because people will sell the black Friday ones they stocked up on when they realize their kids foot grew fast I hope the kids behave or yh switches with you

Basketball was fun! B really enjoyed it. Small world, our team’s assistant coach has kids at our preschool and is in my MOPS group 😊
So C and I sat in the bleachers and there was a little girl (3-4) in front of us, her mom is coaching another team that her brother is on. She was SO cute and so good, playing on her tablet and showing me games. At the end we were all putting on coats and she told me she hopes she’ll see me next week—just precious. And then she goes, ‘we live in a hotel!’ Cue my heart breaking in two. So now I cannot stop thinking about that and am thinking of ways I can try and help.

I’m headed to a baby shower in a bit. I’ll only know the mom to be so it should be interesting.
Selfishly, I’m glad MH will be solo parenting. He went to a happy hour last night and didn’t get home till 9:30...even though he was supposed to stay for a bit and bring home dinner.

Ice fishing would be my version of hell. When I was in Wisconsin the locals talked about it a lot because I guess that's all there was to do in that area. flamingo oof. I hope it was just nonsense preschool chatter or a temporary situation until their house is ready or something. That's sweet you want to help. wedding congrats to C on graduating to the next belt.

peachsmama I like that sofa. I think with the ottoman and chaise, it seems pretty oversized, but not knowing how it would fit in your room, I'm not sure how it would work. Our sofa has the chaise on one end, but we can also get rid of the extra length basically and just use it as a regular sofa, which is handy to use when we dont need all the extra seating. Our living room isnt that large either.

Our living room isnt that large either. It will fit the space well. And the chaise, couch, love seat configuration is what we want. But we wouldn't get that ottoman. It was just way to big. We're not buying today but trying to figure out what we want. We also need a bed for us, which we dont agree on at all. And a TV stand for the living room.
